Great place. True value for money. It’s an old place and a bit worn down, but it’s perfect of you’re not expecting a new-built, fancy hotel. all you need it there and location is great. Staff was super friendly. parking is the street is a lot cheaper than the parking house in Karstadt. we had a nice balcony to Rankestrasse on the 4th floor. Room was equipped with what you needed. Location is perfect in regards to public transportation and Ku’damm area. A lot of good restaurants within walking distance.

Elevator closes very fast. Facilities are old and worn down, but functioning. A bit noisy towards the street, if you’re a light sleeper. No fan in the bathroom.

I particularly want to give a good word to the staff. Very friendly and super professional. The room I was located in was spacious and clean, quiet and with a beautiful natural light. there is a small fridge also for free using. Very good wifi protected with a password. There is a safe inside the room also. location is very good and it is actually in the heart of the Kudam and just beside the KaDeWe.

I did not like that in the first night I got a room that was very small and noisy and I just couldn't sleep BUT the staff helped me and gave me another room and it was perfect and comfortable and quiet.

The room was very clean and really spatious and the beds quite comfortable. The location is excellent, especially due to the fact that you can find 3 Restaurants next to the hotel. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The building and the rooms have a very charmful design 😊

Nothing to complain about. Nevertheless, I saw here complaints about the fact that the reception is located on the 4th floor and remarks like "we have to climb up so many stairs". These comments are unjustified. First of all, once you book over Booking you receive a notification/welcome message which informs you about the fact that the reception is located on the 4th floor and that there is an elevator. So just move a bit it ain't that tragic forreal 🙄. Some people just like to complain 🥴

My recent stay at the hotel on Upper Room Hotel Kurfürstendamm in Berlin was absolutely wonderful. Very interesting hotel in old building. Renmarcable wooden stairs and great windows and looking on street. Location is great and just few minutes to ZOO BH. Arround the hoel are great shopping zone and many restaurants with different food- for everybody something. Very easy to reach all part of city. Personal are friendly and helpfull. Breakfast was ok and tasty- always adding when soemething is missing.

If you have room on top floor you only can reach it by staircases whic was round about and narrowe. Therefore almost impossible for people with walking problems to reach room or very difficult to bring up-douwn big suitcase.

It was a spontaneous decision to rent a hotel in Berlin. I looked up the cheapest options available on the day of my arrival, and this hotel was one of them. Maybe I was pleasantly surprised because I didn't have any expectations for the hotel. The room was quite big for the money I paid, and the location is very good too. It is well-connected to all kinds of public transport. Also, there is a shopping area nearby.

There are stairs inside the hotel that lead you to the fifth floor which look like a spiral. Getting your luggage up there might be challenging as there is no elevator, and the stairs are quite narrow.

The staff were polite and accommodating to the hotel guests. They let us leave our baggage after check out because our flights were late in the afternoon. Above all the location is very convenient because all the shops and restaurants are accessible also for all kinds of transportations.

I was scared of the narrow spiral staircase in case I might fall down.

Very central location just off Kurfürstendamm. Close to the zoo and Europa Centre so plenty of connections available via bus and Ubahn to the rest of the city. Very helpful staff Good WiFi Great continental breakfast

Not an issue for me ,but if you have mobility issues, this is not the place for you. To access the lift, you have to go up a flight of stairs. Our bedroom was only accessible via a spiral staircase. Carrying a case up and down could be tricky! Timing breakfast can be challenging as it was always busy - you may have a little wait for them to clear the tables; but staff really kept on top of the tables to allow flow for people arriving. Wouldn’t put me off returning again.

The location is excellent. We arrived in the morning, but we could leave our suitcase at the reception. Thanks for it! The bed was very comfortable :)

There was no air conditioner in the room and in the building! I really missed it. We don't try the breakfast, it is quiet expensive. On the first day, the cold water is completely gone for a while, after which the hot water when showering. It was only once.

The room was bigger than expected. Very clean. We got a fan, mini fridge, plates, cups and water cooker in the room which was great. The bathroom was clean and modern. Cheap parking in comparison to the city but the space is very small. Very good for the price.

One of the male receptionists wasnt the most welcoming and was kind of passive aggressive. It seemed like he hated his job to be honest so we just avoided the reception after checking in. The entrance to the hotel is in high need of renovation. Too many old stairs to the reception that are taped and the elevator is old and small. Our bathroom had a wierd smell if we kept the door closed. Our neighbors were noisy.
