Views were beautiful in the junior suite on 13th floor. The location is very central (across from bikini and zoo, walking distance to KaDeWe and kudamm. Finishes in room as top quality what you would expect from waldorf, 4 seasons, or Ritz.

Staff were far less friendly and eager to help and offer suggestions as they were at other waldorf properties (maybe they are fitting into the Berlin mentality?). No turndown service at a five star hotel? Calling to order room service always required at least 3-5 minute wait. Not their fault but because of Covid the library (top floor) was closed during the week, complete bummer.

Really great hotel, even the smallest room is larger than some people's apartment, the bathroom could be a spa in it's own, the bath tub is large enough to have a couple taking a romantic bath without even touching, the walk-in shower (both present) is somewhere you never want to leave, the spa is quite nice. The terrace with the bar has an amazing view. The location is great. If you get a good rate (switch around the dates a bit, the difference can be couple hundred Euros!) this is actually a better deal than most expensive hotels with super tiny rooms in cities like Barcelona.

The breakfast is overpriced. Before 2020 they used to have a-la-carte breakfast and buffet, the breakfast buffet now costs an enormous amount of money for a VERY small buffet, that does not even offer much. I was disappointed because I remembered how exquisite it used to be. You are much better off just taking your money and go to the fancy all-day Breakfast/Brunch places right outside the hotel (Spreegold, Benedict, ...)

The hotel is in a great location for shopping and restaurants, but not walking distance to the main sightseeing area. The services are Waldorf level, the size of the suite was impressive, good quality amenities, a nice little spa and pool.

The hotel is visibly outdated and feels oldfashioned (very visible wear signs and old style in room furniture, common spaces furniture, breakfast salon). Compared to new or newly refurbished hotels, it feels like the price and brand standards are not really met at the expected level.

The hotel really had the best service I have experienced in a top-notch hotel in a long time. For me, the best experience was with the concierge service. Long before our trip, there was a solution for everything, and they took so much work out of my hands that you cannot imagine. But everybody else (reception, breakfast staff, housekeeping, etc.) was really perfect, always friendly, committed, and the guests really felt special. It is something you can not find in many places anymore. Even room service with warm food at 11 p.m. was absolutely perfect. When we called a minute before the kitchen closed (the bar was closed for a private event and we were caught off guard), there was no moaning, or inconvenience in the voice on the phone, just a solution. Also, we had a wonderful meal in the room. At the time of my visit, there was no real restaurant in the hotel. Some snacks and ice cream, yes, but nothing worthy of such a hotel. That was a bit of a pity. And a lobby bar would be nice. But again, if you want to be pampered, this is the place to be. And of course, the location is also amazing. Thank you again to the staff for this perfect stay.

My husband and I just returned from a three night stay and we were totally happy with everything. The rooms were well designed and comfortable, the breakfast was great but more than anything we found the staff to be totally professional, helpful and always smiling. The hotel is in a great location.

We felt that the carpet needed changing as it was a little bit old. Also the pool was too cold and paying to enter the spa area seemed somewhat ridiculous.

Very good location close at the zoo, very central, very easy to move around. The view in the room was astonishing, could see most of the city, and with the xmas market there made it even more pretty.

Location view and breakfast cleanliness and helpful staff members.

No observation deck or room/bar for the tallest building in the area.

Beautiful Grand Hotel next to the Berlin “Gedächtniskirche“. We loved the corner room with 180 degree view, the library on the top floor and the luxurious Guerlain Spa.
