We have stayed at this hotel (formerly known as ‘Azumut hotel Kurfürstendamm’ ) many times over the years, because of: central location. accommodating staff. rooms on 3rd floor spacious and nice with mini fridge and good size bathroom.

we were initially given rooms on the first floor. The rooms were cold (even with the heat turned on all day) dark and bathrooms sub-standard. However the staff were nice and moved us to new room as soon as there was availability.

No AC in the room, only small fan. Room almost unberably hot in late June.

Great location, walking distance from Zoologischer Garten S-Bahn and U-Bahn which give you access to pretty much the whole city. Easy access to both Hauptbahnhof (Central Station) and the airport. The room had a desk which was helpful because I was working part of the time and had somewhere comfortable to sit and type. The room also had a balcony which was pretty nice.

It's on a busy road so it can be loud. There were a few nights when it sounded like someone was trying to open the door? Maybe it was the room next door? There wasn't a kettle in the room, but perhaps hotels have stopped doing that? I'm not sure.

Nice location, close to different kind of public transportation. Our room was facing the small courtyard, away from the busy street so we really liked that. Sounds of traffic weren’t as loud. Nice staff. Possibility of storing luggage after you check out free of charge.

The water pressure in the shower was pretty much non existent. They really should fix that. Beds weren’t super comfortable, hard mattresses and the king size bed was basically 2 beds pushed together and the mattresses had a big gap between them so not very nice for a couple. Lots (!) of steps before you reach the elevator.

Comfortable bed Clean facilities Great location near an S+U-Bahn and RE Station with several useful shops and restaurants in the nearby vicinity, aswell as the beautiful Kaiser Wilhelm II memorial church around the corner Good Value considering the location. *Didn't have the breakfast that was available so no opinion on that*

The furniture (Wardrobe and Desk) in the room felt a bit outdated compared to the pictures shown, which made it feel a tiny bit spooky The hotel felt like a maze (and unless I just missed it, reception wasn't signed) but im aware there isn't much that can be done considering the buildings age. The shower head wasn't great, the centre was just hollow with a ring of water spraying out around.

If you are looking for a cheap hotel, in a great location, I can definitely recommend this one. Only a few hundred meters from the train station and a great supermarket (which is located next to the S-Bahn entry for Zoologischer Garten train station). If you are coming during the Christmas period, it’s also around 2 minute walk to some beautiful Christmas markets. The staff were also very helpful and have great English. Just keep in mind, if you are booking this hotel, it is very old/ dated (which does give it charm and I loved it) but if you don’t like this sort of thing, then it probably isn’t the hotel for you.

It can be noisy at night if you are overlooking the street, but I am used to it, so it was fine.

The hotel is nice for what it is - it is basic, but whatever it offers is nice and usable. The breakfast has basic options, but is tasty and covers most breakfast habits. My room was large and well-lit. One note that didn't bother me, but may be important to others - this is not a wheelchair-friendly place. There are lots of stairs everywhere.

Breakfast was great, with a decent selection and choice. The staff were nice and friendly, and helped out whenever I needed something. The room was basic but comfortable (desk, TV...), and was equipped with a table fan which was very welcome at night during the very high summer temperatures. The windows were particularly effective at keeping out the busy street noise at night. The hotel's location was also ideal as a base for exploring, with the nearby Bahnhof Zoo for trains or S-bahn, or the Ku-damm U-bahn station around the corner. The Brandenburger Tor is a 50 minute walk from the hotel.

The bathroom floor drain for the wet-room shower was very slow running, the first time I used it I was worried the water level would rise above the slope of the floor and run into the bedroom! (It didn't!). As long as I didn't turn the shower on too high this was a manageable situation, and didn't turn into an actual problem.

Excelent, and outgoing staff. Perfect location near S-Bahn/U-Bahn (Zoologischer Garten). Clean.

Hotel is directly on a main street which is very noisy even durin night time (due to trafic). Secondly, the hotel and its equipment (altough clean) is visibly old and worned out, and due for renovation. Note: Loby, dinning room are in better state (newer), so the hotel state might have changed since my stay (in 2023).

This is a wonderful romantic little hotel with superb elegant fixtures transporting the guest to a bygone era while being located in the best area of West Berlin —- the famous K-damm! Nice breakfast too! We loved it so much that we wanted to do late checkout and the lovely receptionist, Laura, graciously welcomed us to it —- free of charge! The huge bathtub was an unexpected delight as were the turn of the 20th century furnishings & fixtures. I will definitely make this hotel my Berlin destination for future trips.
