Hello there. I thought I have to say that. I found reception staff need a bit more of training. When customer arriving and waiting , they need to be invited, called to preside to the desk. I was standing, waiting and resection person was looking at computer, so I do not know if they are busy or waiting for me to do the move first. I understand that in Germany service can’t be called over friendly but standards should be reached. Also in sauna facility, which I had to pay extra I was forced to take my bikini off by other guests(German). I thought it is unexplainable. And if that the case and guest have to go to sauna naked the staff should inform guest and put some writing ✍️ sings that we all have to be nude in those saunas. This aria is more a relaxation facility , not a torcher for one and enjoy for other . I was upset, very uncomfortable and didt go to sauna next day. It was shock for me to see men with young girls(daughters) going to sauna naked. I didt sings for that. And if it is the way it should be information for foreign guest, becouse not all countrys at the same level and would like to get some privacy and choice. Over all it was not bad. Thank you. Elena

I didn’t like that room was not cleaned, saying that electricity had to be saved. I had an empty bag left in the bed, saying leave it outside and they will put some goody’s in it.so I end up chasing them for that goody, just to see what it was. Thought I was a bit tight.

We had a really great experience and were served by a very friendly and professional staff. The location is fantastic and a short walk to the historic Altstadt. The entire building is very clean and well maintained and leaves a very positive impression especially when you consider the amount of polished marble flooring. Our room was great. We had plenty of comfortable space, everything worked, was very clean and very well maintained. If you book an Elbe river view room on one of the upper levels of 5 or above, you will be treated to a perfect sunrise, in July at least. The breakfast was excellent, high quality and environmentally friendly in that it avoids use of plastic or items that can't be reused. This even goes down to the level of having a butter machine that only dispenses what you ask for. Omelets can be cooked to order and you can even make your own fresh carrot juice if you desire. The selection of available items was large and easily ranks with or exceeds our best experiences elsewhere. The hotel offers a nice terrace on the north side that faces the river and provides a nice, quiet respite from the hot temps and sun where you can relax and enjoy the evening. If you decide to enjoy your evening meal at the hotel you will find a nice buffet and a couple of single menu options available. We didn't want a big meal our first night and discovered that we could limit ourselves to just the Vorspeisen/Appetizers at a reduced price. We were very favorably impressed and this will become our hotel of choice for future visits. Some sights/attractions to consider: The Green Vault and/or Residenz, a visit to the Frauenkirche which is only open to the public at certain times, a boat trip on one of the paddle-wheelers, the Zwinger which unfortunately has the courtyard undergoing construction at the moment, possibly a night Watchman guided tour, various museums and of course just a walk through the Altstadt.

These are small nitpicks but something that might be important to you. 1. The parking garage is a little expensive at 24€ per day but gives you safe parking and easy access to the hotel. Add the planned parking duration and parking ticket to your hotel bill at the Reception Desk and they can set the ticket so you can come and go as you please for day trips without having to pay and then grab another ticket when you reenter. 2. The A/C isn't very strong and takes hours to fully work but does eventually cool the room. In a related aspect, close your curtains during the day to keep the sun out as it warms the room very quickly. 3. If you like to enjoy a whiskey every now and then you will find the available selection severely lacking depth.

Preliminary note: 1 night in a superior double room with Elbe view on the 7th floor (my request for a quiet room at the end of the corridor and as far up as possible was granted, thanks for that). Arrival: Unproblematic, although it is easy to miss the entrance to the public parking garage, where the maritim's parking lot is also located (24 Euro per 24 hours). Check-in and beyond: Friendly and helpful hotel staff. Room: Very spacious and nicely furnished room with very large and comfortable double bed, with a large desk, nice lighting (and bright if desired), two comfortable chairs and an extra table, large bathroom, empty refrigerator (very good as you can cool your own things). Really very quiet room, could hear almost nothing from outside or inside. Location: Very close to the center / old town and located directly on the river Elbe. Very nice view of the river, the green areas along the river and some parts of the old town.

There was not really anything disturbing. But even in every very good hotel there are little things that can be improved ;) a) The WLAN login is old-fashioned and unreliable. You have to log in with your name and room number. This did not work for me (I entered everything as on the invoice). At the reception this error seemed to be known and often occur. The employee explained to me another access route via another network. After that it worked. b) Sometimes the two main elevators are indeed occupied or blocked for a short time (cleaning, repair, etc.). It is generally encouraged to walk sometimes, but from the 7th floor there is apparently no normal staircase for this (at least this is stated in the information leaflet). However, this is not really an annoying problem.

We had a very pleasant stay. The hotel is very nice, clean and spacious. It is located by walking distance to the city center (About 10 min). The building is huge, with lots of rooms and it has also a swimming Pool, a sauna and lots of massage options. The Pool isn’t as small as other users wrote, of course it isn’t an olympic pool but it is fine :) We found it very good and enjoyed it a lot.

The breakfast is too expensive. We didn’t book it and found nice breakfast options nearby. One of the elevators didn’t work during our whole stay, which caused long waiting lines to go up and down.

Room was good and there were some problems with the lift the fisrt day we arrived however it was fixed very quickly as we stayed on the 8th floor. Location of the hotel is great, the windows were partially looking at the river Elbe and the view was beautiful. Also the hotel is located not far from the centre city, takes up to 10 minutes to walk to the centre and 5 minutes to get to the riverside. There is a swimming pool area which was free of charge and it looked very relaxing however we did not have time to visit it and also it included sauna for additional price as we've been told by receptionist upot our arrival.

The restaurant is huge and could be better only regarding the food availability. The restaurant works from 6.30 till 10.30am and we arrived at the restaurant for breakfast at 10 am however some of the food was gone and the restaurant was not fulfilling the empty shelves / bowls. We said this issue at the reception and receptionist said that we came at the late hours however the breakfast hours 6.30-10.30 am were not fully followed as such regarding the food availability. The rest was fine and decent.

The lovely lady at reception allowed us to check in at 10am after our early arrival, this really made a world of difference as we only had 24 hours in Dresden and were able to use the pool facilities before getting ready to take on the city. The rooms are spacious & clean, windows open completely with a beautiful view of the city & Elbe River! breakfast buffet is not included. A beautiful city to explore only 10mins walk down the river! A relaxing stay! The reception also helped us with a map of Dresden & helped us get a taxi to the station upon departure!

Although the bathroom was spacious the shower could have been larger & the shower head may be due for a replacement or deep clean. The air conditioning didn’t seem to work in our room, wish the windows then had a fly screen so we could have kept them open for the night.

Everything was great. Personnel was very friendly and helpful, rooms were awesome, breakfast provided a huge variety of options and was very delicious and everything was clean.

At breakfast there was a separate group but were also using the breakfast tables outside. Unfortunately it was not recognizable so we brought our breakfast there and sat down. It was then that we were told that that area was reserved seating. So we had to juggle with all our belongings and breakfast and had to look for a different table. First: it’d be helpful to provide signs for reserved seating areas. Second: it would have been nice to get some help with finding another table and carrying everything to the other table.

The hotel location nearby to the old part of the city, and the museums and art gallery. Good breakfast, and very helpful staff, in particular Mr Kai, who was very knowledgeable of Dresden and able to give advice and info on the city sights and attractions. And travel options too. Also he was able to give me an alternative wifi, when the the hotel wifi was inoperable.

Nothing. The outdoor terrace was prefect for relaxing after a day touring the city. One evening there were hot air balloons moving over the hotel.

Excellent - Great wellness, breakfast, service. Nice room.

Gluten free breakfast was announced in advance, the hotel assured me in the communication before arrival that they have Gluten free pastries available every day. After asking at breakfast where I could find gluten free pastries, the staff was surprised that they didn't know about it and that I should have reported it in advance. After half an hour we were given soggy bread that had been thawed in foil, BUT the staff were friendly and tried to accommodate. However, that was a small thing, and we will definitely be happy to return.

The location is good, less than ten minutes by foot from the historical old town. The breakfast choice was large, as was the room we got. The staff in the breakfast restaurant were helpful and friendly (in particular a lady who seemed relatively new in her task, with a slighty Asian look). In general the hotel had a fancy modern feeling to it.

There were multiple problems with the key cards, both to the hotel rooms and to common areas such as the swimming pool. The lift capacity seemed insufficient and taking the stairs instead was made more complicated by the doors to each floor when coming from the stairs having to be opened with a key card (valid for the floor in question). It would be nice with a place on the top floor of the hotel from which any quest could enjoy the view, but now only guests having their rooms on the higher floors have access to them. One had to pay five Euros extra for access to the saunas, which while not expensive, seems rather unnecessary in a hotel like this, with its fairly high rates.
