We loved Hood House! My son and I were recently there because we went to see Beyonce! The location of the hotel was perfect - so tranquil and serene, great restaurants, shops, and a supermarket nearby. We would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat - and longer - to explore the beautiful city of Hamburg! Also, the staff was incredibly helpful - giving us easy bus transportation directions to attend the concert.

Nothing! The only thing I would change is the air ventilation in the room. It was a bit stifling as the temperatures were quite hot during our stay.

This was our third time staying at Hood House and it never disappoints. It’s in a great area of Hamburg, which we know well as we used to live there. The rooms are comfortable with great bathrooms and Bluetooth speakers. The gym is well equipped and never seems to get busy. The coffee shop below does great coffee and breakfast. The wifi is great so it’s easy to work from. As a bonus it’s nice and close to the Alster; so perfect for running. We‘ll definitely be back soon.

comfortable, nice and clean room with a kitchen corner with coffee machine (and coffee doses included in the price). Writing table big enough (was traveling for work so I appreciated a comfortable work place). hotel well situated close to public transport, shops and restaurants but not to noisy. Would stay there again.

the price was higher than what I used to pay for comparable accommodation but the prices have increased everywhere.

location, design of rooms, staff, facilities … absolutely great!

The weather was splendid and it was beginning of June so a lot of sun was coming into the room in the morning at around 5 because there was no possibility to darken the room. there were blinds but the gaps between the blinds was substantial due to design reasons. It was also boiling hot in the rooms because there was no provision of any sun cover nor was there an aircon.

The hotel is very stylish and well-kept. The bed was very comfortable and the room was spacious and nicely furnished. The general atmosphere is welcoming and cosy.

The breakfast was delicious, but service needs to be improved. I was on a business trip, and I had to wait over 15 minutes for my food to be served. Had I not been on a business trip, it would have been fine, but I was unable to finish my breakfast as I had to rush out.

Location is ideal, super close for walks around the lake and in proximity to stores and cafes. The bed is incredibly comfortable and comes with 2 individual duvets so you don't fight with your partner for it at night (i think this is quite german to provide double duvets...had never seen before) Big windows. Clean bathroom. Hot pressured water. Store at front desk available in case you forgot toothbrush or you want a snack is very convenient

Was quite unfortunate that the cafe downstairs was closed on 25th and 26th DEC, so we were not able to have breakfast at the hotel... and it was -10 degrees outside and difficult to find somewhere local that was open for a coffee. Can understand it was Christmas time but not everyone is at home those days :)

The rooms are modern, spacious, clean and, even though we were facing the street, very quiet. Kudos to the staff for their pleasant demeanor and helpful attitude. Try the coffee on the ground floor.

The mattress is very soft. Not really an issue for us, but may not be suitable for everyone.

The location in a quiet street in Winterhude near shops and restaurants as well as Alster lake is great. The cafe in the lobby offers great breakfast and I also enjoyed the Indian restaurant connected to the hotel. The room was clean, modern and had a nice view. Staff were very helpful. A lot of young professionals stay here, which creates a good atmosphere.

The only thing missing is a bar.

Modern and cozy hotel. The room was spacious and we had overall a very comfortable stay. The staff was really friendly and professional. We also liked the restaurant next door and the café located in the lobby. The neighborhood is nice and quiet, walking distance to a few u-bahn lines, and there are plenty of restaurants and shops quite close to the hotel.

nice decorated hotel. parking is quite easy but they have 2 different parking lots , one of them is more expensive which is in front of the hotel and the other one is somewhere else , which is cheaper. it was not mentioned during the booking. hotel is not so far away from the lake , one of the best places for running!!

only one elevator was working , the second one was out of service
