excellent location, only 10 min to train station and to the Alster, very friendly and helpful staff who spoke good English, checking in and out was smooth, could leave our luggage at reception after checked out until we travelled which was helpful, clean, room was nice and comfortable, good value for money considering being in the centre of Hamburg

the lift was playing up some times - it did not respond to our electronic room key and always took us a level higher, railway tracks nearby meant a constant noise level if the window was opened (however, with the window shut the noise was not noticeable)

The room was very quiet, despite the train line nearby. I could see a nice big tree outside, which was nice. Room was very clean, everything worked. The staff was helpful -- usually I have issues with getting an invoice, here they made it right away -- thanks Bogdan! I didn't have breakfast, so I cannot comment on that. But they have coffee machine (2EUR) downstairs, with normal mugs that you can take to your room, instead of paper ones. I liked that.

Since I should complain on something, let it be. One night I stopped by at the bar in the lobby to grab a beer, but the barman didn't seem happy... But it's just nothing really.

Breakfast was better than I expected with a good choice of food. The reception staff was most helpful and friendly, in particular a young guy (I think he is Turkish) and a lady who were exceptionally helpful and warm-hearted.

If you have a room to the back, i.e. not the street, you will have to live with a noisy generator that switches on every few minutes and which is even noisier than the trains that pass by from Hamburg Hbf. That is a problem only if you like to sleep with the open windows, otherwise there is a good insulation if you keep the windows shut. I had to change to a room to the street-side as it was definitely quietier than the generator on the back!

The hotel was in a splendid area of Hamburg. For a business trip it is the good choice. The room and the bed were large and comfortable. Towels were changed every day.

The air conditioning was very noisy. Sleeping with the window open was possible but a bit noisy too. The curtains were not completely blocking the light so I was awake very early in the morning but that was fine for me as I had a business event starting early morning.

I would like a shout out to Miriam, the front desk staff who despite being very busy took care of us an graciously offered us a new room when the room on the 5th floor we were staying in, the ac was not working making the room to uncomfortable to sleep in. With a very full hotel she found us a room on the 1st floor with air conditioning that worked. It was a perfect hotel for a one night stay prior to flying back to the USA the next morning. Tip. Summers in Europe are getting hotter and many places do not have ac or are not very powerful. If a cool room is what you need to be comfortable, ask for a room on a low floor not facing the sun during the day. It makes a big difference.

There was no coffee machine in the room. It would have been nice to take the stairs instead of the slow elevator.

Great location, next to Hamburger Kunsthalle, the main train station and the lake. Very friendly and helpful stuff. Clean and comfortable room with modern décor, small desk, ironing board and spare chair. In general, a very pleasant stay and a very good place to stay to easily explore Hamburg.

Nothing really. The only thing that may surprise British travellers is the lack of kettle in the room ;) But you can still get tea/coffee from a vending machine downstairs.

It is located in the heart of the city and close to its most beautiful part!

The hotel does not have refrigerator in the room and the are no ramps in the corredor. there are some stairs in the corridor that leads to the rooms and I had difficult time to carry my big luggage to my room

Nice location, close to main station. I really like drinks on the breakfast, it had nice taste(usually it has some kind of artificial flavor, but not here). A comfortable bed. A double door is good against noise in the corridor, but not saving from trains noise.

A hair dryer, it took me eternity to dry my hair. Also, there is no iron in the room.

I liked the hotel and its location. You can easily walk to the historical center and see the heart of the city. Room was not too spacious, but you get all you need. Breakfast was great, even suitable for those who needs light and fresh food, water with lemon, coffee and muesli.

The only dislike is window that you cannot open, fresh air would be good to have.

The breakfast was starting at 630, but for the event of the Bemer Cyclassics they were so kind to move the breakfast start to 545, so we could get a proper breakfast in decent time before racing :) It should be noted that according to Booking.com the breakfast started at 430 but in reality 630. And they have a Waffle bar :D Every hotel should have a waffle bar <3

The elevators was a bit slow and only one to serve the rooms and you could hear the trains.
