Reception personal was very professional and very quick at check-in and check-out process. Room had access to shared balcony that had a great view to the city. Location of the hotel is perfect and everything is reachable on foot and very convenient.

Room was extremely small with little storage for clothes and not convenient closet. Also bathroom was dirty and needs some maintenance.

Firstly, the staff was kind and attentive, that's for me is a big plus. Facilities were to my liking, The location is in a silent area, very close to a metro station (few mins of walking distance) - nice area of coffee shops and nice vibes next to Alster lake are also very nearby. Breakfast was good to me, over packed at times but you could always eat at the adjacent bar seats,, so no big deal

The one thing I didn't like was hotel renovation works, not the works per se, but the fact that I got a room where I could literally see a construction worker on my room's window - I went to the front desk and received a different room in a building side that was renovation-free. My original room should not have been used for guests booking during the renovation period - but again, the staff assisted immediately.

Renaissance Hotel is located in the most central location in Hamburg, 5 minutes walk to the Rathaus and the lake, 20 minutes walk to the port, and around many shops. However, there is some noise, especially early in the morning, requiring sleeping with a closed window. The staff are very friendly and helpful in everything needed. The cleaning staff arranges and cleans the rooms daily, puts away the hygiene products, and does an excellent job. You get a bottle of water every day. The breakfast is very good, rich, and varied, but repeats itself precisely every morning. The room is large and spacious. However, in my opinion, the coffee point should be removed from the closet and thus free up more space in the closet and make the coffee point more accessible. Additionally, the hotel should set a higher water pressure in the bath. After 6 nights stay, the overall impression is that Renaissance is a very good hotel. It is better to define it as a 4-star hotel and not a 5-star one because it does not have the luxury of a 5-star hotel.

There was ongoing construction at the hotel (the outer surroundings) during our stay. When we entered our first room, we could not hear each other. Hence, we requested a room change immediately and they tried hard to find a similar room. Thanks a lot again : ) Once we changed our room, it was much better in terms of noise. I believe they should let the guests know about this construction in advance. We purchased the breakfast while reserving our room. We really enjoyed the breakfast. They provided good choices and every worker was very polite. The location is great. You will be close to many important landmarks. Additionally, there are passages close to the hotel. You can even walk even less than the distances shown at Google Maps. You may need a couple of days to discover :D

Everything, from the location to the breakfast buffet, was excellent! The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. The room was large and comfortable. We are very pleased and will definitely come back under better circumstances (when not travelling for medical reasons).

There was really only one thing we didn't like - the shower! The water constantly went from hot to cold, and the floor inside the shower was very slippery, a rather big problem for someone with extremely poor eyesight and balance issues, as well.

Property is at a very nice location. Very close to Jungfernstieg. Lots of shopping options in the neighbourhood. Apart from the dust, the stay was quite comfortable.

Same breakfast offered daily. No change in the menu. Some of the charging plugs were not working in the room. Bathroom did not have input plugs to plug in the dryer. Only 2 options in dinner for Vegetarians in the Hotel restaurant. There was lot of dust when we checked in. Bedsheet was not changed even on request.

Perfect central location. Parking facilities on hotel site. Helpful and friendly staff

Room was too hot with aircon that appeared not to be working. Window opened fine but a little noisy. Breakfast buffet at 32euros far too expensive for a small requirement with very limited alternative a la carte options

Hotel is in the middle of everything ... Breakfast is Very Good, Very Clean with Excellent Staff assisting the guests ...

Although I'm an SPG Gold Elite Member but what I got shocked with is the South Asian Receptionist (I don't know her name and don't want to) who checked us in ... She was Very Rude, Not Responsive to our requests and Not Cooperative at all ... She distribute our rooms (although we are one family with different ages categories requested five rooms) distantly throughout the hotel floors ... We discovered later that the hotel occupancy is not high that night ... Furthermore, it was "EXTREMELY IMPOLITE" from her speaking with here colleague angerly about us & in front of us in a language she knows we don't speak (German Language) ... However, next day the staff at the hotel understood our issue and gave us rooms next to each other for the rest of our stay ...

Fantastic beautiful hotel. Breakfast buffet was amazing. The rooms spacious with coffee and tea options. The bed big and very comfortable.

The location was good but in a commercial area with not much restaurant options in the vicinity. Many were closed, but it may be because it was Eastern. The hotel has a good bistro.

The Hotel is clean, currently unser Fassade renovation and the staff helpful. We appreciated the Valet-Service and Gym as well as the perfect central location right besides Hamburg’s luxury stores.

Unfortunately the air conditioning didn’t work during our stay, which in summer obviously is a huge downside, but we were offered late checkout due to those circumstances.
