When one compares the hotel lobby, front desk, the room with the prevalent European standards, then it is a GREAT hotel. The moment one compares to similarly priced hotels in Asia, Middle East etc., Fraser Suites is just about good, nothing more. The lobby is very nice, the effort to create a vintage ambience is clearly visible. The rooms are comfortable - not very spacious but not cramped either. The location is SIMPLY FANTASTIC! Right in between Hbf and Sankt Pauli, there is a large area of Hamburg that can be walked from the hotel with a lot of sight-seeing to do.

The hotel has a restaurant with probably a capacity of less than 40 diners. This forces them to "schedule" their guests which in turn, requires that a guest has to plan her/his time of next day´s breakfast. Personally, a hotel of this class should NOT have to do any of this. They need to work on increasing the size of their restaurant. On the other hand, I can understand that breakfast is not particularly profitable (despite being a separate line item during reservation) therefore the hotel management does not have any inclination to increase its size. However, I am sure a decent analysis of the restaurant, the banquet hall and some creative thinking can result in a large enough breakfast area and a profitable high-end restaurant.

Beautifuly located authentic historical building. True to their times breathtaking interiors, kind stuff, very high standard of service.

We were charged additional €35 as a city tax after our stay, eventhough Booking offer said clearly that all taxes were included and covered in the total pre-charged price.

The location is fantastic, our view was lovely (we asked for a view). Very quiet and clean. The building is beautiful inside and out. Comfy bed. Good shower pressure. Nice high-end toiletries and nice to have one free minibar (coffee, tea, drinks) to refresh yourself after travelling. Very friendly staff. All in all, a very good experience.

Washing machine in basement did not work correctly and this ended up being a real hassle because staff who tried to help didn’t really know what to do. We would have appreciated better lighting in the room -- it was fancy, and functional, but a good standing lamp would have been nice. We had an "executive suite" with a mini-kitchen and the cups for coffee/tea were quite small -- a mug or two would have been appreciated. Selection of TV channels could be better. App for newspapers was advertised on website but staff said they knew nothing about it.

Elegant hotel & wonderful decor. Bedroom sizes are generous & spacious. They are building in front of hotel at the moment ~ so we were happy our room was at the back of hotel backing on to the river. Thank you to the staff who arranged this for us when I sent them a mail about a quiet room! The Dining Room restaurant attached to hotel serves amazing food~ top marks to its chef Daniel Thomsen for creating such interesting & delicious dishes! Restaurant staff are very helpful & friendly ~ we’ll always return to this hotel if we are in Hamburg again.

Lovely hotel/suites. I appreciated the spacious room and comfy bed. While I only stayed for 2 nights, the amenities like a complete kitchen, large dresser etc. allow for a longer stay. Breakfast was very good. I also enjoyed the architecture, lovingly restored pre-war building, one of the rare administrative buildings of the city to have survived the bombings. I had a room on the 3rd floor to a noisy street. But the window isolation was good and the room was quiet.

I hadn’t much time to watch tv, but the selection of tv stations was a bit random. 1 French news station, some English/ UK stations.

The property was absolutely perfect! The room was spacious and had everything we needed like Airconditioning, iron and kitchen. The hotel also had a gym, laundry room, sauna and lots more. It was central and we could walk to all attractions or take the train. The staff were also very helpful.

On the morning of check out, we had a knock on the door and it was the cleaning crew. Our check out was at 11am and yet they were knocking at 9:30 and we did not have the sign on the door to clean the room. It was a bit annoying because we thought we got the check out time wrong.

Very well appointed with stylish decor and enormous beds. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Very minor point, but I would have liked a lounge separate from the bar/restaurant. Wouldn’t stop me visiting again though. One other aspect, which may be down to the hotel or booking.com, not sure which as I am still trying to resolve it, was that the bill presented by the hotel exceeded the final amount quoted by booking.com which apparently included all taxes. The additional charges are local taxes, so not sure what’s going on there yet.

Maybe we were unlucky, but the price/quality level of the breakfast and bar was a bit of a disappointment. The service at the cocktail bar was messy, we didn’t get a glass of water, no little snack and still charge 25 euro for just a fine cocktail, nothing special. Also breakfast was not worth the money, I had much better hotel breakfast for half the price. ( quite limited options, limited availability of items. )

I spent 3 nights in Fraser Suites with my sister. We stayed in an executive suite...and we really enjoyed it. The room was really big, the bathroom was not super big but still very nice. Convenient with a kitchenette and a little seating area to have a cup of coffee and chat. We had read that breakfast could be a bit complicated - and were also informed upon arrival that breakfast was fully booked for the first two mornings. But honestly, there was a nice Starbucks minutes walk from the hotel - and even a bakery 4 minutes away - so not a problem at all. We did have dinner in the hotel - and while a bit on the pricey side, it was very delicious. All the staff was very helpful and kind. The location is a relatively quite neighborhood and yet super central for everything! I would highly recommend Fraser Suites to anyone going to Hamburg

The ambience of the hotel was remarkable. The colours, the style, the comfort, they were amazing. You felt comfort as soon as you walked in. The staff were amazing and super polite and friendly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The view of the riverside was nice. The spa facilities (sauna) was so relaxing and clean. The private rooms called the library were you had your drinks was so causy. The location is superb. Middle of town amd few minutes walk from center. There were close restaurants next to us and over all, it was great.
