Very good l8cation. Very good bed. Swimming pool. And very nice staff, especially the staff at the breakfast and in the puano bar. The salmon tartar is very good quality. Norwegian salmon I guess.....

The prices in the piano bar are bit too high. And the beef at the piano bar (cant remember which one) was very difficult to chew. But I guess it was an "accident" this time. The rogen brot with mett was better before (I have stayed there some times) when I / we need to see something else than Bergen / Norway. The mett was not so good this time. Perhaps it is ok to have one more type of beer to serve in the piano bar.

The breakfast offered a nice combination of both hot and cold options. In the corner of the area, there is an option to get freshly made omelettes, with a range of topings. Try that ! The bread offering could be improved, not sure if the bread 100 % day fresh. The piano bar, was really nice. Very nice to return to the hotel, after dining out and get a night drink, while humming to well known jazzy and laid back tunes. Location was really great and offered easy parking in the adjacent Apcoa parking house. (No reservations options). But they offer some designated womens parking lots, just a few feet away from the elevator, leading to the Hotel lobby. The receptionist who welcomed us, was super friendly and helpfull, make our arrival a success.

The bread offering in the morning cafe, could get an improvement. Not sure if the bread was 100% freshly made, it tasted a bit dull.

The hotel is located in a nice and quiet area although it is a central one. It is a little bit off the main shopping streets and major city sights. It's a short stroll from the local public transport stops so one can easily get to the other parts of the city including the airport in Hamburg. The property has a nice lobby with a well-designed foyer including a fire place, and cosy armchairs and sofas. The hotel has three fast running lifts which means one does not have to wait long to come up or down. The breakfast is well served and has a variety of choices of cold and hot dishes as well as an offer of freshly made omelettes at the omelette station in the restaurant. The breakfast offer also includes a variety of cold and hot drinks and sparkling wines. The room I was staying in - a classic double - was spacious and had all I needed for a comfortable stay during the whole week I'd booked. The mattress and the pillows are somewhat tough but not critical at all - this is, perhaps, quite a tradition in Germany to have those things tough in the bedroom. More English language channels on TV would definitely be an asset and an addition to the very good offers the hotel has. What is most smashing about the hotel is its staff. All the staff including those at the front door, reception, bar, restaurant, room service and house-keeping, are more then welcoming and helpful, they are personable and very polite. I will definitely come back once I am in Hamburg again. Would recommend this hotel as well.

Great staff and comfortable rooms in good condition. Excellent breakfast with really attentive service by the staff. Nice fitness area including super clean pool and new treadmills.

The pool was not heated to the right temperature so was a bit chilly (we noticed a few families had the same problem). No 24 hours room service in case something basic needed like a bottle of water (lobby has these basics to be fair, but needed to make the trip in the middle of the night which is not ideal).

The location within 100m of the Gänsemarkt was excellent with easy access to the underground train and bus network. The hotel neighbourhood was very quiet and comprised mainly upper class shops. The service in the restaurant and bar was excellent. Afternoon cake and coffee can be recommended. The elevators were very quick and efficient.

The furnishings (especially the carpet) were a little bit dated. The room temperature was too high, the window could not be fully opened, and the air conditioning was not sufficient (although the outside air temperature was only 15-18C)

The room was larger than the average, quiet and comfortable. Bathroom was good size. The pool and breakfast are the two best things regarding the hotel

Overall, the rooms including the bathroom should be renovated. Looks like from the 80s or 90s, well maintained, but just getting old.

Location is perfect. Right near a train line and you can walk to the central shopping street in about 5-7 minutes. A supermarket around the corner and several restaurants and food/retail shops within walking distance. It rained a few hours each day so the indoor pool was great to entertain kids!

The breakfast had a great selection and there were never shortages. The pool was really lovely for a hotel and we were lucky that it was usually quite quiet. The rooms were spacious and the in-house shampoo and conditioner were really nice.

For the price, the rooms were a little dated. The staff service in the bar in the evenings left something to be desired.
