The room was lovely, clean and spacious and the hotel had a great vibe to it. The staff were really helpful and we could tell that lots of things about the hotel had really been thought through. When we stayed there was live music on the roof terrace which was a nice touch. The area isn’t central but it’s in a nice neighbourhood within easy reach of the S-Bahn so good connections to the city. Plus there are some nice places to eat and drink in the area - obviously the hotel restaurant but we would also recommend the pizza place across the road.

Our only complaint was our room, on the top floor, was incredibly hot (we were staying in August but it wasn’t a particularly hot day). There was thankfully a fan in the room though which sorted us out.

The architect did a great job. We really liked the vibe of the hotel. The staff is polite, the location is good. It is not a closest hotel to the city center, but the metro station is 5 minutes walk from the hotel. There is also a market, bakery and pharmacy right next to the hotel. The breakfast can be additionally paid, and it is great. There is a common space to be used, which includes many interesting facilities - a photomat, table tennis, table football, etc. I would always recommend this hotel.

No air conditioning. In the summer it can be very hot. The room lacks a dresser and hanger for clothes and stuff, everything else is amazingly designed.

The design of the hotel is great fun. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The 'honesty' bar means you can go and help yourself to drinks and snacks at any time.

The shower has no temperature control and if someone else on the same floor has a shower at the same time the temperature changes. The room was very hot with no AC and the opening window blocked the access. Some of the trendy lights have no switch - the only way to turn them off is to remove the adapter block. Breakfast was poor with only coffee and bread up to standard.

For a budget hotel it is actually relatively charming and well decorated. Room was spacious and pretty. felt more luxurious then a lot of much more expensive, outdated hotels. Nice looking breakfast and restaurant, though I didn't eat there. Has the charm of a hostel (young people, metting travelers) without the inconvenience and student feel (you can have your own room and it feels quite clean and hotel-like). The room was actually very spacious.

Didn't love the fact that the windows gave onto the middle of the hotel and a stairway, so that if you had the curtains opened there wasn't much privacy. Bathroom was also not super private, so you'd better be pretty cofortable with the person your staying with. Staff could have sometimes been more helpful (especially concerning parking). Parking is not easy to find if the hotel parking is full.

Friendly staff, great facilities to hang around with people. There is a bar but also a self service system for beer and wine. You can also bring your own drinks. Same for food: you can get food from their restaurant or bring take away. Great place to stay with a big group of friends but it's also child friendly.

The breakfast was too expensive ans I didn't like the options. But as it was not included in the stay, it wasn't a problem at all. For vegans, the breakfast has many options, though.

The restaurant and bar were super comfortable. It was fun to hang out there in the sunshine or for a drink after a long day of sightseeing. The value of the hotel was incredible. It's important to note that the location of the hotel wasn't in the city's center, but it was about 20 minutes by bus to the town hall so it was definitely doable!

We visited during a heatwave, so that was a significant contributing factor, but the room was a bit stuffy.

Probably the room the most confortable I ever stayed in! The style is exceptional, witty and well arranged. There was family games in the bedroom, which we enjoyed a lot. The playful decoration was highly appreciated by my son, which now requests that in his own bedroom. :) This is definitely somewhere you can call home. The candy bar was super to take a last snack before leaving. We unfortunately forgot to take a picture in the photo booth which means we definitely need to come back! Will forever be, our at home when we come to Hamburg.

It was super all around! The decor and layout of the 4 person room was so clever and comfortable. I really appreciate the thoughtful design. The linens were quality all cotton. We felt safe in the neighborhood. And the breakfast spread was amazing! Housemade strawberry rhubarb jam - where else would you get that?! And the huge loaf of fresh bread - so good. We are looking for an excuse to get back to Hamburg so we can stay there again!

Cool, quirky hotel, with relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. When I realised i'd forgotten my adapter plug, the reception staff were happy to loan me one for free.

Signage on room numbers was a little unclear (spray painted onto vinyl records on my floor), meaning two visits to reception as I thought my door wouldn't unlock. It transpired that I was trying access another room! Would have like some drinks facilities in the room, but the trust system in the breakfast room and reception meant it was easy to take refreshments up and pay later.

Super friendly staff, tons of attention to detail (photo booth in the lobby, small secondhand and handmade stall in the entrance, wine you can take from the fridge with trust-bar-concept…), politically engaged, cosy and spacious rooms, clean, well connected in Bahrenfeld and close to Ottensen. Used to live in Hamburg for many years and this hotel really felt like home for a couple of days. Great concept, would definitely recommend and come back!
