The location is fantastic: just over the road from the main station ( I arrived and left by train) and immediately adjacent to the excellent park. The hotel has a large terrace attached to its restaurant. Room was large, bed was comfy (and there was space for more people, had I not been alone.

The advertised free WiFi did not work in the room, which was disappointing, but could be accessed anywhere downstairs (breakfast room or terrace). Staff behaviour was mixed. On the first evening I had an outstanding Kellnerin on the terrace, but the next lunchtime I had the feeling of being ignored and had to be proactive to get served. Overall, positives outweighed negatives: I would visit this hotel again.

it's actually a "gastropub" serving beer and food, with a few guest rooms and whole apartments upstairs. It's possible to get breakfast at extra charge, but I didn't try it. I didn't expect much, needing a room for one night by the train station, but was pleasantly surprised. There is an elevator. The place is very clean, there is a fridge and a kettle with quality tea and coffee provided, and large flatscreen TV. There is an actual working desk you can put you laptop on. The room was well heated in February--not always a given in Europe these days. The bed was actually comfortable. The location is right across the main train station, thus convenient for trains, intercitybuses e.g. to Strasbourg (which stop on the other side of the train station) and also regional transportation (checkout the Siebentäler Thermalbad in Bad Herrenalb ). 10 min by tram to the center of town or to the Vierordtbadt sauna/spa near the congress center. Next time I travel with my gang I might inquire about their apartments.

The wifi signal was very weak--that was the only issue. Note that they don't have a reception desk as such but all staff members were friendly and accommodating and they allowed me to leave luggage there during the day.

Easy access to train station, handsome building, clean and tidy. Comfortable bed. Friendly staff at check in. Nice to have a fan on a warm day in a corner room. Nicely prepared food, very tastey, and outdoor dining at the restaurant.

Shower had no bath mat, and was slippery, no grab bar. Staff at restaurant were quite slow and inattentive to a solo diner.

Perfect location: right across the Hbf, close to the zoo and surrounding small park, less than half an hour's walk from the palace. The room itself was big, with high ceilings and what I really appreciated were the hard blinds (aka shutters) that allow to block all the light at night. We had lunch at the hotel restaurant and it was super tasty.

Took a point off because although the room was obviously cleaned and the bathroom was impeccable, the floor in the room was a bit dirty. It was hot on the weekend we visited and an aircon would've been nice, but otherwise the room was perfect.

Location was perfect for an overnight stay. Directly across the street from the train station.

Wi-Fi connection was terrible. Difficult to get on and kept going off and on all night (mostly off). If you are looking for walking distance to the town then maybe this Isn’t for you. However, they did have buses and trams that did go. We were only stopping overnight so being across from the train station was perfect for us.

We arrived in Karlsruhe on a late train and left on a very early train the next morning. The hotel was perfectly located opposite the station. The shower, bathroom and bedroom were all good. It was exactly what we needed. There was some noise in the street outside but I slept with earplugs and wasn’t affected.

This charming hotel is right across the street from the train station, next to the trams, and the zoo. Room was a good size, very clean, with a big bathroom and cable TV! The restaurant downstairs if fantastic, and the breakfast was wonderful.

Right next to the Zoo and resturant downstairs. The room was perfect for my family of 5. You can hear the flamingos in the zoo at night which my kids loved.

We could not figure out the A/C in the room but it wasn't too hot so we were okay.

Location was very good, just next to the train station and zoo. Breakfast was very delicious with everything you might need. Check-in and check-out were very smooth, the staff were very friendly and helpful. The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. Thank you.

There were simply too many air fresheners/sprays. Only in the hall of the first floor, I think there were at least 5 automatic sprays. As I don’t like its smell, I had to remove the automatic spray, open the windows for a few hours to have fresh air.
