The hotel is ideally suited for reaching by public transport, being a couple of minutes from the Hauptbahnhof and the tram. Even so, it is in a very quiet street overlooking the zoo, so I had a very peaceful stay. The room was a good size and comfortable, with shutters at the windows to keep out the heat of the sun. The room has a small (not very cold) fridge with four bottles of drinks provided free of charge, and a few rolls and biscuits were left out in the breakfast room for you to help yourself to. The breakfast was very good. The WiFi is secured with a password.

The bathroom, bed linen and towels were spotless but the floor in the bedroom was very dusty in the corners, under the furniture and in the foot well at the desk, which meant I picked up a lot of dust on my feet when I sat there and then spread it around the room. Obviously, nobody had really looked what was needed and given it a proper clean for a while. There was no plug in the basin in the bathroom, therefore it couldn't be filled with water; I might have to take to carrying a plug with me. Check-in is at a machine, which obviously suits a lot of people but it means there's no-one there to ask for advice, say about how you might spend your evening.

The room was exactly as presented in the description. It was nice and clean. The bathroom and shower were great. There was a breakfast available, but I felt it was a little expensive. However they did provide free sandwiches in the afternoon. We did not use the elevator, but it was off limits between 10PM - 6M, which could be an issue for some folks I guess.

Parking was tricky. There was free parking, but it was full most of the time. The paid parking limited payment to 2 hours, which made it a little tricky to walk into town. There was daily parking at the train station which is a short walk.

We thought it was a great choice to stay here.

Nobody to let you inside. Had to wait in cold rain for 20 to 30 minutes to get in. And this was only because a stranger let us in ( this is a security concern itself). I was busting for a wee wee which made it extremely uncomfortable. They have a machine on the walk that wasn't working. It didnt accept the booking number and it couldn't scan the passport. We tried many times. Yet they sent an email saying we can check-in. Another guest arrived after us and he also couldn't get inside. We sent emails via the booking agent, but of course they are not 24/7. So be warned! Fortunately, the stay was excellent. There was no apology from a real person when we checked out. But we were lucky a stranger let us inside(but not into the room)

I have stayed at the hotel before. Near Main Railway Station (approx. 5 minutes walk). Not so far to the center of Karlsruhe (approx. 15 minutes walk to the Pyramid). Clean room and bathroom. Free minibar (4 bottles - a still water, a beer, Coca Cole, an orange juice). Perfect breakfast with many kind of freshly baked breads. Perfect arrange food - cheeses, hams, fruits, vegetables, yoghourts, jams and ... Welcome sandwiches and small cookies for late nights check-in guests. Check-in by terminal. No problems and easy by the reservation code which I received via WhatsApp. Friendly staff. Comfortable bed but for me the pillow was a little bit low if an additional pillows is available it will be perfect.

The location was central to the areas we were looking to enjoy including the zoo across the street. We were able to access the hotel easily and get our room keys from the automated system they has at the front door. It was pretty slick. The room was on the top floor and had some added character due to that with ethe sloped ceiling. And the breakfast buffet was good value with plenty of selection to choose from.

The roof slope in the bathroom was a little bit in my way as I had to avoid hitting my head however not too bothersome overall.

There was an excellent selection of items for breakfast, all very fresh. The staff were very friendly and helpful, offering to store my bag when I arrived early, and to put it in my room when the room was ready.

The air conditioning system is not immediately obvious (the unit was above the door and the remote control was on the side wall). At one point it began displaying a "standby" light and there were no directions telling what that meant or what to do to get it off standby. It would be helpful to have directions in the rooms.

Excellent breakfast. Good location, almost next to the station. The reception is closed most of the hours, but the computer to check in is user friendly.

The be duvet is really thin, for winter times. I would expect a winter version in November. And I would prefer a double duvet for a double bed. There is a free mini bar with 4 drinks (juice, beer, cola, water), really nice. But I would prefer to be able to make thee or coffee whole day at the breakfast room.

Very good location, delicious breakfast, very clean room. It was also really sweet that they would leave available (and for free) croissants and sandwiches for the guests. I would come back to this hotel!

The only thing I can comment for improvement js the placement of the shower in the shower box. The hose was turned towards the door of the box, without the possibility of fully turning it more to the back. The result was a very wet bathroom afterwards. A minor thing, I would say.

Quiet location yet very handy for a rail trip stopover- its just 3 or four minutes walk away. Red Pandas performed for us during the excellent buffet breakfast- the hotel is opposite the City Zoo! Our room looked straight into the Siberian Tiger and Panda enclosures- not that we were disturbed by roars at night! Room was very comfortable for the price and we enjoyed the little perks like the free mini bar and the snacks and nibbles available at tea time. No problems with the self check in system and staff were on hand when we had a minor problem with the safe.

Our TV kept turning itself off, but we weren't staying long enough to chase staff up about it!

The location was perfect since we were on foot and relying on trains, trams, and buses. Even though we were just around the corner from the train station and tram stop, it was very quiet. The room was clean, and the beds were comfy. The contactless check in worked perfectly. It is an older building but the room was nicely updated. There was no air conditioning in the room, but the fan that was supplied kept the room comfortable even though we were there at a particularly hot spell. We felt safe and would definitely stay again.

I was a little nervous about the contactless check in, but it worked seamlessly. Our room was accessed by entering a hallway behind the kitchen of the bistro which is also part of the hotel. As soon as we opened the door to the hallway the lights came on automatically, and all was well. Everything was perfectly safe, we were just wary at first, since there was no one in the office when we checked in, and we weren’t sure we were going.
