The place is easy to reach from Frankfurt airport with S-bahn S8 or S9, one stop from the Regional station. Be aware that the key must be picked up in the Stadtcafe on the S-Bahn station. If you walk out the tunnel to the end, you miss it. The owner will walk you to the room. The room is pleasantly big, the village is nice and quiet, you can walk to the Main river in 10 minutes. There are a few nice and simple restaurants nearby, I liked Kristall.

The hotel is currently under construction/expansion. But this did not impact our stay. It’s the perfect location, if you have to leave from the airport, which is a few minutes drive away. There is also some free parking on the property but it’s limited and therefore needs to be reserved. Our room was in the back and quite. The room was nice, clean, shower was great, and the bed was comfortable. The owners are very friendly.

There was supposedly breakfast but we were never told the time and don’t know where they even would be able to serve it since the hotel is under construction. But owner brewed us some good coffee.

We wanted a hotel close to the airport but with interest - Kelsterbach and Hotel Athen fitted the bill. The hotel room was large with two single beds pushed together in a location walking distance to the river Main amid charming houses and parks. Furthermore a train from the airport is 100m from the Hotel.

Hotel Athen is under some renovation. The front of the hotel was confronting but the new section where we stayed was out the back and was very pleasant, more so post renovation. The room needed one more blind/shutter to make it completely dark on those short summer nights.

We were stranded in Germany and told to book our own hotel. We did so, we didn't want to go into the city so we booked here. Was half built but lovely. Host was fantastic, welcoming and accommodating. Can't speak highly enough of him. His Dad was also awesome. Glad we chose here.

The town was a bit up and down, we experienced racism and aggression on numerous occasions, but also some fantastic places and good food. This is of no fault of the host who was amazing, he even told us were not to go but we didn't listen.

The staff was very helpful in providing recommendations as to where to eat (since most of the town was on vacay) and got us a cab when it rained just before leaving, where walking to the train station despite it being close would have still gotten us drenched. And the restaurant he suggest proved to serve the best veal schnitzel we’ve ever had.

There was a lot of construction (adding new facilities and such)… but the room was impeccably clean with everything fully in order and working.

This is a lovely new building hidden behind an older one, and is run by a nice couple. Everything was clean and new, and the suite was super quiet. It’s only one S-Bahn station from Frankfurt airport, just minutes away, and the hotel is right near the train station, which makes getting to the airport quick and easy. There’s a lovely walk along the river (photo included) and restaurants and grocery stores close by. : )

Really appreciated help I received from the front desk. I was tired and was carrying a very unwieldy heavy bag (long story as to why). Reception (without me asking) moved me to a downstairs room and carried my bag to the room. I don't normally travel internationally on my own so I was initially apprehensive but because of reception I felt safe and relaxed and slept really well. Thank you.

I had a little bit of trouble finding the Cafe door to check in. I went left instead of right ... (it was dark and I was tired ...). I would suggest that the sign on the door at the front of the building, directing people I presume to the correct door, should also have an English translation. It added to my stress levels that I couldn't read the sign and my phone wasn't working... I would also chat to the neighboring pub as to how to direct people, as they couldn't help me when I asked.

Friendly staff, took care that we get what we need. The hotel is 5-7 minutes drive from the airport, which was important to us. We got a room in the backyard building which was fairly quiet given that there is a railroad nearby.

Not really much, to complain about. If you like to take a shower a bit longer, the flat tub may overflow and flood the floor. Having a couple of bags of black tea in addition to Mint and Fruit-tea would be nice.

The room was new and very comfortable. There was a place to park our car for free. We chose this place for our last night as it is close to the airport. The young man and his father were very helpful.

The hotel is being renovated. We were a little worried when we drove up to the front but after finding the entrance we found that the rooms they are renting right now are in a new separate building at the back.

The room was spacious and spotlessly clean. The room was very nicely designed and the decor was very modern and stylish. The furniture was new, the bed was nice and large, plenty of room for my husband and I. We had a comfortable night's sleep. Overall the room was well kept and pleasant to stay in. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It was very close to the airport which was nice for us taking our son to the airport in the morning.

No air-conditioning in the room, but they put a fan in the room which we needed to use, we had warm weather at the time of our stay, air-conditioning in the room would have been nice. Checking in was at a different location to the hotel. Thankfully the distance was not too far to travel. The owner accompanied us to the hotel and showed us to our rooms. He was very friendly. Once they finish their building work on the hotel it will be better to check in at the actual hotel.
