We stayed there for ten days and based on that we could go again. The hotel and the room were clean. The room and lifts were a bit compact as we had wheelchair. There was a problem with the minifridge but as we mentioned about it to the staff the problem was solved within a couple of hours by totally new minifridge - very efficient! The breakfast was good for example with variety of fruits, bread, cheese, cold cut, tomato, bacon and eggs and of course bratwurst. The breakfast hall had a lovely view to the park pond, and probably also the rooms on that side of the building. The location next to the city park was great. We had every day a little stroll in different routes in the park. Nearby there was also small domestic animal park and food market apparently once a week. Also bus connections to the city centre were good. Normally there would be also a tram but this time the route was under construction. The staff was friendly and helpful.

Location was excellent for us, I didn't want to drive and park in the city centre and this location has excellent public transport options, especially a frequent and quick tram to the city centre. So the location made for a very easy and stress-free entrance and exit from Koeln for a foreign visitor. Good shopping nearby in Durener Strasse. A clean and comfortable room, not overly spacious, but as you'd expect. Lovely views over the lake and park right at the back of the hotel, you can walk straight out into the beautiful park. Very good breakfasts and dinner here was good too - and the restuarant overlooks the lake and park, with lots of outdoor seating for a beer and quiet contemplation. Plenty of parking for hotel guests. Restaurant and front desk staff were all really friendly and helpful.

Hallway carpets and some of the furnishings (e.g. the bedroom cupboard) were looking a bit 'tired'. A minor quibble, I'd still very happily stay here again.

The location at first was a bit far, but when we woke up to the chirping birds and nice weather, we realized this was the best place we stayed in Europe so far. The nature around us was the best part, there is a river at the back of the hotel and a park where we could jog. The hotel was indeed a 4-star hotel that is on par with the ones we stayed in Dubai. The place was very relaxing and gave us the rest period in our weary but fun travel plans in Germany.

It's just far away from the train, about 6-7 minutes walk. Since my ankle is injured, it took me 10 minutes to get there. Luckily, there are Tier and Bolt scooters around, which hastened my trips from the hotel to the train and back.

The staff was very friendly, very helpful. The room was clean, the bed and pillows comfortable so I slept well. The restaurant even stayed open a couple of minutes longer just to make sure I got some dinner after late business meetings kept me from arriving sooner. Not only that - the quality of the dinner was absolute top! Breakfast was excellent- there's something for everyone. I enjoyed the beautiful view of the Stadtpark with its lovely lake while I ate. The location was close to the Unikilink - just a short walk. If I had had time to sightsee, it's also just a couple minutes drive with car or public transportation (or not quite an hour walk) from the Kölner Dom and the old downtown. I'm definitely coming back soon.

The hotel is situated right by city park lake with an excellent view. The park is a very big plus - its large, well maintained and great if You come with pets or like walking and running. I strongly advise to take the room with a view of the park lake. Location is great: besides the park, there are a number of restaurants nearby and its close to old town (about 15 min by tram). Staff was very helpfull. There is a paid parking in front of the hotel, although we did not use it as there are lots of free spaces on the street (parking there is free of charge).

W stayed at one of the top floors and we could hear noise from (probably) air conditioning machinery on the roof. It was bothesome if window was open.

I was very impressed with the stay overall. Staff were friendly, welcoming and couldn’t do enough for you. We arrived and were given a upgrade which was a nice surprise. The room was spacious and had a lovely view. Bus into city centre was a couple minute walk from hotel which ran regularly.

Smell of drains in hallways was unpleasant but didn’t affect the room itself.

The only thing that was a bit 'off' was that the room smelled funny. I don't know if it's the cleaning product or just the closed room. I had the window's open nearly the whole time, but then shut them at night because of spiders getting in. It just didn't feel like a refreshing place to sleep because of this odd unpleasant smell. Like the inside of a fridge that's had food go old and then been emptied but not properly refreshed.

Superb location on a lake and a wonderful Tierpark nearby, plus good cycling infrastructure around that allows easily moving around and to the city center on a bike. A bus and tram stations, Rewe grocery store in a few minutes of walking. Friendly stuff, excellent breakfasts, and totally exceeded expectations. Highly recommended!

The room was nice, but a bit more cleaning would be great.

Very nice breakfast, much choice and nice environment with a great view to the lake. The beds are however a bit small, king size would easily fit as opposed to the queen size beds which were not that comfortable.

Queen size bed which wasn't very comfortable. The parking price could be included in the price of the room, especially when staying multiple days.

Great breakfast options right next to the lake. Each morning a staff member knew we had a baby and would set the baby chair next to our table without asking.

The location. If you are planning to go into the city and wanted to do public transportation it would take so much longer (45 minutes) rather than just driving 15 minutes into the city. It says 3 minute walk to the public tram but no tickets machines near.
