I had a pretty long stay here and had multiple encounters with staff, housekeeping and restaurant staff. All of them are amazing, helpful, polite and professional. The room was very clean, it was probably the cleanest hotel I have stayed and I’m very pleased. Bed was always spotless and clean. I love that they refill the minibar in my room everyday and provide free drinking water in the room. Breakfast was amazing too, great variety of food and quite tasty.

The location is a bit far from city Center, and it takes at least 15 minutes walk to nearest supermarket. The shampoo/ bath gel/ conditional/ amenity kit in the toilet were not refilled after use. Though the front desk staff were happy to give me new ones, but it was a hassle.

It's a great hotel in very nice of area. I didn't know this part of Cologne before (Ehrenfeld / University Area) and I was pleasantly surprised. Way cosier than the city center, with fantastic restaurants, bar & boutiques in walking distance. The hotel was easy to reach from the station and the staff is friendly and professional. Bonus point for the cleanliness: the room was impeccably clean. The rooms are spacious and the bed is very comfortable.

As many others have already written in the review, the hotel is located on a very trafficked street and you can hear the noise of cars passing by. It's not THAT noisy though. We had a room on the 3rd floor, facing directly the street, and for me it wasn't an issue at all. Furthermore, the room has air conditioning so you won't need to leave the windows open at night. Those who are very noise-sensitive should probably ask for a room not facing the main road.

We were given a room on the 2nd floor, there was no big view from the window but it was calm. It was big enough and with a comfortable bed. We found a water bottle and some haribo.

The bathroom looks a bit old for a modern structure as this hotel and the 4 stars. The air conditioning system is a bit noisy once you turn it on, but I'm glad it was working because there were 30°C out there. The TV is old as well and the majority of the channels didn't work + the screencast mode was also broken (once turned on, the screen was all green and purple with distorted images). One last point is that I expected to be given a map of Cologne or a map of the public transport when arriving at the check in. A bit disappointing for a first timer in such a big city, especially because the hotel is 45-50 mins by walk away from the city centre.

Staff, very professional and polite. Many English channels on the television, a bonus. Nice beer and relaxing design with lighting in the hotel bar. Some super cool chairs are available in reception, swivel with table attached. A nice park directly facing, which is a cool walk to the bars and restaurants. Stairs are impressive, like an open plan.

I paid for a double bed, for some reason, there was only a single small quilt ( covers 50% of the bed, luck for me it was warm weather ) and one pillow. I travel all over and have never witnessed this before. Most hotels have spare bedding and pillows in the wardrobe. I only stayed one night, otherwise I Would have asked for more pillows and a quilt cover suitable for the appropriate sized bed. I did take photos incase nobody believed me.

- Great location, 5-Minute walk to Universität Straße station, and from there 5-minute ride to the old town - Large, bright, and well equipped rooms - Great soundproofing in rooms - Very nice, generous breakfast buffet, with gluten-free options too - Nice and helpful staff overall - Pretty decent gym and sauna

- Mattresses on the (very) firm side—not suitable for side-sleepers with large frame/broad shoulders - Poor air conditioning—though this seems to be a general thing in most hotels in Cologne! - Only single-size duvets available—also not suitable for larger people

We had a superior room, it was spacious enough to fit a second bed for our kid coomfortably. The room had everything, no complaints. They even put a dog bed and a bowl for our dog in the room, wonderful! Staff on reception and in the bar was friendly and helpful, breakfasts were excellent and the breakfast staff was always present and helpful. One of the best hotels we've stayed, definitely. There are several good restaurants/cafes in 10 minutes walking distance. The location is near a big park with great plaaygrounds for kids

A bit far from the center; you need to walk about 20 minutes or get a tram/metro ride. The parking is overpriced IMO, so we parked just outside on a neighbouring street, as we didn't have much luggage.

The location is pretty close to the centre (only 20 minutes walk), room was nice, big enough and the bed was very comfortable. The cleaning staff comes everyday which is great.

There is no public transport near the location (closest one it’s 10 minutes walk from the location so it doesn’t make much sense to walk to the bus/tram station and then wait for another 10 minutes for the bus when you could spend the same amount of time walking). The restaurant doesn’t have kids friendly options on their lunch/dinner menu.

Bed was little small, basic amenities such as tea , coffee , kettle were missing, no safe and no mini bar was available.

Very clean, good comfortable bed, spacious room, nice staff. I was there for Karneval so in the hallway there were always some sweets and goodies for the guests. I found this super nice. 2 mins walk there is a tram that leads direct to the Neumarkt, so this is very convenient. There is a bar in the lobby, which I didnt use, except for the coffee to go for one morning(and they didnt charge me… maybe due to Karneval :) )

It was very warm in the room, and I could not really open the window while sleeping since there is a busy street beside the hotel

- The room size was fair. - its quite - check in and out was fairly quick and simple. - the hotel located on a big corned (hard to miss) so taxis or expected deliveries wont need more address details other than the name of the hotel. but its a bit far from city center.

- no mini fridge in the room, first hotel i stayed in with out one! - they are clearly understaffed. - the room was not already prefilled with anything hotels usually provide (toiletries ..etc), it was all available but you have to go to down to the reception to get it (they did not put in the room and they will not deliver it to your room).
