Hotel Victoria Nürnberg

The location cannot be better…the Victoria is close to everything. We were also very happy with the park garage, the friendly staff, the cleanliness, the quiet and efficient air conditioning on a hot day, the elevator, and the lovely breakfast…with eggs to order, excellent coffee, and a very beautiful assortment of delicacies as well as “regular” breakfast buffet selections.

Our updated, renovated room in this older hotel was much smaller than we anticipated. It was well-appointed, but definitely sized for a day to be spent outside in the city. Not a bad thing exactly, but we did feel squeezed. We were also without hot water for probably 24 hours, due to a system breakdown. The staff was apologetic, and we understand things can “happen,” esp. in an older building, but, it’s hard to give a top rating when that happens, esp. after missing…or taking cold…showers.

We loved being inside the Old Town and the easy access to the public transportation, train station and easy walking access in the town and surrounding area. The staff was really helpful and pleasant. The added bonus was the breakfast and the numerous selections of food. We loved the little bowls of eggs and bacon that the staff served to our tables. We can’t say enough about how helpful and friendly the staff were with any of our requests.

Our room was on the smaller side but that really wasn’t a problem for us since it met all our needs. I really didn’t have a negative.

The staff were wonderful and very helpful, location fantastic walking distance to train station and just inside old town and best of all the breakfast was totally amazing and I couldn’t wait to come down in the mornings to have and the breakfast staff were extremely good and service was great.

- Shower a little on the small side - No tea/coffee making in room even if there was a tea/coffee station near the little honesty bar near reception like I had seen in a previous hotel. - If room servicing not done daily it would be good if a second roll of toilet paper is left in the rooms :))

• location! just perfect if you travel by train • rooms are very clean with no odor (the odor of cleaning chemicals is typical for many hotels) • interior is good – I personally like orange accents – there are also big black&white panos in the corridor • the bed is very comfortable, there are little and large pillows • modern and bright light in the room – usually owners make it half dark to save money • there is air condition (not that it was important for me in winter, but anyway) of a famous brand • very good noise isolation of windows • TV has channels in English (news) • the staff is very friendly and polite • if you ask they will give you an electric kettle • the dining room is beautifully decorated • hotel demonstrates creative approach.

Breakfast - food portions are tiny. One definitely won’t leave hungry, because there are a lot of sweet pastries and the food is delicious.

Healthy food, plenty of options, quiet and clean breakfast area, friendly colors and lighting, discrete presence of the staff... perfect location to start exploring the old city, central but not noisy, really clean room/bathroom and I'm also talking about the spots that cleaning people often miss in other hotels; private garage a couple of buildings away... The front desk staff are polite, friendly, with a refreshing attitude and ready to help. It looks like tradition in this business results in fine tuning of the details...

Not exactly my kind of coffee, but the city has hundreds of places to find the flavor you're loking for...

We absolutely loved this property and we loved in Nürnberg! The staff was incredible, the facilities were beautiful, clean, decorative and festive, and the staff was excellent and provided a fantastic customer service! We also loved the breakfast which was charming and delicious! I would recommend this property highly!

While everything was lovely and almost perfect, it would be great if the front desk was a little bit more knowledgeable about area closings and service interruptions during the holiday season.

Just across the street from the Hbf and you're in the fort. Super convenient to everything. Check-in was seamless. The staff at the desk was very welcoming and even gave me a map and drew a route for me and my family to take for the afternoon to explore in the fort. We followed it and it was perfect. Room was spacious, bathroom was clean, and we loved that the shower had plenty of room and the toilet was a separate room. Breakfast was excellent as well. Complimentary chilled, bottled water in the lobby! I would absolutely stay here again if I visit Nürnberg and would highly recommend it to others.

if you arrive by train this place is fabulous - just up the ramp from the underpass across the road from the station. it's a short walk into the centre of town and only about 15 minutes walk from the tunnels and the Durer Haus and the castle. Hauptbahnhof metro is a great hub to be adjacent to. it's probably 20 mins from hotel to airport. The staff were all fabulously well trained and our room was cosy but modern and the beds very comfy with window blinds that coudl either be pulled up to be totally light blocking or down to let some light in. The breakfast choices were excellent. it's not a grand hotel but it's a very well run very convenient very clean hotel very close to the main station

Orange is a colour I like but if you don't like orange there's quite a lot of orange decor.

This was a great experience. The hotel has been recently renovated because everything was new and orderly. The staff is exceptional. Its apparent they take great pride and passion with caring for the property. The breakfast was included and served ample options for my family of 2 adults and 2 kids (11 and 12 years old). The hotel is the first hotel as you exit from the underground train station exit. Super easy to walk directly from your train.

Nothing. We were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. I am certain that any issue we may bring to the staff's attention would be resolved very quickly.

The hotel has been very nicely renovated in a minimalist style. Very clean and comfortable. Breakfast was great. Staff were wonderful. All quite young. I had a single room which was very efficient, not too small (on the back side of the hotel # 345). The front rooms might be a bit smaller.

The hotel is very close to the train station and if youre very sensitive you can actually hear/feel the S and U bahn trains go by the hotel, but its no problem really.. Also, my room was on the back side of the hotel, which avoids any street noise ( the front of the hotel is on a busy pedestrian street) but there is a disco/dance club somewhere in the neighbourhood, which you can hear till 3am (on a Saturday night), again only if you are very sensitive, because the double windows and air conditioning (and my ear plugs) do a good job of filtering that out. All that said, I would stay here again for sure! ;-)
