Best Western Hotel Nurnberg am Hauptbahnhof

I really liked hospitality at this hotel. Welcome snacks at the lobby, free welcome drinks at the minibar and you may enjoy a nice coffee whole time in the lobby as per your preference. Small, but cosy atmosphere of the lobby is fine to spend some time. I also like the variaty of periodic magazines they keep in the lobby, so reading and enjoy your drink is not a problem. We used hotel lobby until late hour after our check-out due to our midnight fligt and hotel personel were so kind and hosted us during that time.

There was some cleaning agent smell in our room after we checked-in. However, we kept the window open sometime and the smell mostly get away. Therefore, this was not a major worry.

That you can get your Shoes Cleaned, You get two complimentary drinks (labeled) in the Fridge. Its relatively quiet (Roadworks/Tram), unless some other guests leave their room door open, they do provide some earplugs though for convenience.

The Roadworks really were terrible for finding the hotel. I know the Hotel cannot do anything about these things, but it would be nice to know ahead of time that there will be inconveniences affecting access to the Hotel. If you put questions in your Questionnaires how you want your room made for the next day, and you just ignore some items on it, its not really purposeful to fill it in.

Staff fanastic, so helpful. Great location, walk to Old Town, Nuremberg Rent-a-Bike, supermarket and Dokumentation Zentrum. Happy Hour(s) awesome. Very accommodating with luggage and bike storage. Welcome drinks very welcome. Luggage scales! Beds really nice and comfy. Request an even numbered room for no road noise.

€15 breakfast promised vegan options. Only thing other than bread/fruit/cereal/salad was a mushroom pate. Defo not worth the money for a vegan. Also coffee from machine was vile at best.

I liked the room, it was not very big but cozy and clean. I really appreciated the welcome drinks in the fridge, especially after an exhausting trip. It was so thoughtful:) The location of the hotel is just perfect: close to the train station and not too far from the city center, supermarkets are also nearby. The staff is nice and polite. Hotel breakfast buffet was very good, no complaints. All in all, I can recommend this hotel to those who would like to stay for a couple of nights.

The pillows was too soft for my liking :)

Staff were absolutely lovely! Very helpful and kind. Really a highlight of my stay here. I also liked how the room had its own little theme. Breakfast with a decent amount of choice. The lounge with drinks by the reception was a nice addition. Close to the train station too, which was ideal for me.

Bed was quite hard. The walls are thin so you can hear quite a bit of noise from the hallway. Unfortunately no airconditioning, which was noticable since it was a warm day, but that's just how it is with these buildings that aren't made for this kind of weather.

Lots to like here: 1) Staff--front desk & breakfast room--were helpful & pleasant every day, 10/10! 2) Outstanding breakfast buffet included a pot of coffee at each table; other coffee options at the efficient fresh grind espresso machine. In addition to 2 juices, you can make your own fresh squeezed orange juice. Breakfasts here are delicious, fresh, healthy & have great options. 3) Complimentary beverages & water in room fridge. Hot water kettle in room. Thank you for those! 4) Modest size sitting area & tea/coffee off the entryway, beverages on sale, too.

1) The shower may be a bit small for some, but water pressure is excellent. 2) A bathroom improvement would be a wall attached drying rack, as so many hotels have. Difficult for hand wash items to dry here, but a neighborhood laundry is about a 5-10 min. walk. 3) Booking directions out of the train station should make it clear to use the South exit! Location is nearby & easy to find if you go south.

Lovely hotel within walking distance from the Central station & City centre. The staff very friendly, attentive & responsive. Excellent breakfast - good choice & tasty, I was provided with special meals upon request. I was very pleased 24-h access to tea & coffee machine. The room was very clean, they cleaned every day, although I didn't ask. I highly recommend the hotel for holiday & business trip

The staff was very very nice and helpful at all l times. The location is perfect: 10 minutes walk from the old city, 3 minutes to main train station and metro, same for bus stops. The hotel and the room are Very clean and taken care of. In my room was a mini-fridge with complementary water and beer. I didn't have breakfast but I passed by the tables and there seems to be a good selection of savoury and sweet. Free coffee/tea at all times in the room and the the lounge. The lounge is very pretty, lots of comfy seats to read, have a chat, or make yourself a drink. A selection of spirits, wine, and beer are available in the lounge, these are not free, obviously, but I guess it's nice to have them at hand - they also do a happy-hour at some point in the late afternoon. It was a lovely stay. I absolutely recommend it. I will go back to Nuremberg as it was my first time there and had little time to visit, so I want to spend more time around the city, and I'll definitely come back to the Best Western am Haupbanhof.

The hotel is very close to the main station and bus stand, about 5-8 mins of walking will get you there. Wifi was good in the room, and it was clean and comfortable. Special mention needs to be made of the two girls (sorry, I didnt get their names!) at the reception. They were always helpful, polite and ever smiling. I had to go somewhere and it was raining heavily, the hotel was kind enough to lend me their umbrella.

Air conditioning was absent, and in the heat the very small table fan they provided was awfully inadequate to say the least. The room was very small, and the window opened on to the street and so every passing train or car woke you up. The food selection at breakfast was very limited.

The location was great, even if on the main road with trams in the street - I felt like the windows were modern enough to block out most of the noise (if you are a light sleeper, they included ear plugs - which I thought was such a detailed touch - I stayed at a hotel recently in Heatherow with planes flying over and they didn't even do this!!!). The decor was great - every room is unique! I didn't expect this from such a chain hotel and so I really felt like I got very good value for money. The bed was also very comfortable! There was a free beer and sparkling water in the fridge on arrival. Tea and Coffee making facilities in the room. Nice friendly receptionist on arrival. Breakfast was great. All in all I was really happy and had a lovely 12 hours stay!

I can't make any bad comments, other than I saw a little dust in the loung area haha
