The room is huge, size and highwise, and very homely with wood, big windows, table and comfortable bed. Also the bathroom is spacious and equipped with soap, showergel-shampoo, towels, hairdryer, 2 glasses and a chair. Wifi works, you’ll be told the password at check-in. The night was good and it was lovely to open the windows to the birds singing! Breakfast was a buffet with good choice, the cheeses and meats were fresh, the eggs were exceptional (the man at the reception assured me there were fresh bio eggs from a nearby farm) and there were fresh fruits like strawberries and watermelons, fruit salad and nuts with three different types of yoghurt. The coffee machine gave plenty of options of delicious hot drinks and there was orange juice and multivitamin juice alongside with milk and water available. The inner city of Passau is only 10 minutes drive away (or 20 if you want to avoid the steep hill) and the nearest and cheapest fuel station is on the austrian side about 5 minutes past some amazing countryside views! The price including breakfast is reasonable.

The way up to the Hotel over Mariahilf is very very steep, so be aware of that when you choose your route to get there. There is no lift, and no hotel rooms in the ground floor so even though the restaurant has a disability toilet and eating in the restaurant / beergarden is disability friendly, staying over night in the hotel is not. I‘d recommend it even though thanks to the lack of disability friendly facilities we unfortunately don’t expect to be back.

Good sized room, friendly staff & nice continental breakfast. Nice, quiet location too, with a 35 minute, (downhill), walk into town and free parking.

Was sold as being air conditioned but only had a large, very noisy tower fan on the floor, circulating the air and not air conditioning, so the room was quite warm & the fan made it difficult to sleep.

When we arrived, Julia was a great host, not only on the reception, where she gave us all necessary information, but also at the dinner, keeping an eye over the happening inside and in the "Biergarten ".

The city of Passau is very far, so there is no way you can walk somewhere else to eat. There was no WiFi outside the room and additionally no mobile network, because the place is truly on the Austrian German border.

The hotel is in a beautiful location high up from the city. The service and quality are excellent and very friendly. The hotel is beautifully decorated and is also used for weddings. It was lovely to sit outside to enjoy local menu selections.

It is not easy to arrive at the hotel if you do not have a car. Generally, the K1 bus comes once an hour. If you walk, it would take about 30- 40 min.

For me very close to city center 35 min walk, overall hotel very clean, courteous employees. The dinner I had at the restaurant which was some goulash with spatzle along with a salad was absolutely delicious. Rooms were clean and comfortable.

For me what was missing was hot water maker in the rooms along with extra shampoo and soaps. there was a all purpose body, hair squeezable tube in the shower and near the sink.

Nice hotel, totally refurbished, very clean and safe. Good parking, free of charge, the room Nr. 15 was refurbished as well; the building looks like a little chalet in the Montains. The food was nice, the price ok. as well. Kindly staff!

Situated in a nice historical building just outside of Passau. Large rooms, very good restaurant and a nice Biergarten to sit outside for drinks or diner. Good breakfast and very friendly staff. Free parking and wifi.

No elevator but staff did bring our luggage in the rooms.

Beautifully crafted interiors, very friendly and accommodating staff, incredibly quiet surroundings and a very good restaurant made our stay memorable.

Room wow very huge and furnished with a style which suited the facility. The bathroom was very spacious. My room had in total 4 windows with a nice view on the forest. There was plenty of parking spaces outside. Amazing local food.

An elevator would be a nice add to the more comfortable bringing of the suitcases to the room, especially if the room is located on the 2nd floor. But the house was completely renovated in it's original style, and considering that, there were no elevators in the past.

Beautiful hotel and the staff were super friendly.

That I didn't stay longer. The place was so nice. We almost considered delaying our cruise an additional day to stay there another night.
