Check-in was smoothest we've experienced. Breakfast is very nice. The location is ideal, just a 1-2 minute walk to the town square, close to great restaurants, gelato, and access to the town wall, all while in a quiet street. The hotel restaurant food is delcious!

The bed pillows could have been better. With no AC and notification that for smoking one must make sure to smoke outside but verify windows and doors are closed first so smoke doesn't get in the room - this did not happen. To cool our room, we'd open the door and window to the balcony only to have to close it a few minutes later because someone would go outside and start smoking.

Good hotel in the center of town. We were lucky to be there at the time of one of their annual medieval events. Nice room, nice people and an adequate breakfast. We took advantage of the garage to park our car. Well worth the money. The hotel communicated ahead of time about the event so we did not have any bad surprises. Overall a nice hotel in a beautiful preserved town.

With the hotter summers in Europe and the higher temps in the rooms I personally would have like airco. But with the energy crisis it is hard to add more cost to the price of a room. Hotel offered a fan which helped a lot. Everything else was fine.

The hotel is a very old building which was totally renovated. The hotel was well located within the city walla. The room was clean, as were the linens. The size of the room and bath were generous and uniquely decorated in an old Bavarian style. The breakfast was pleasant, serving up a wide variety of nice quality food. The Service varied greatly from friendly and helpful to impolite! The hotel is quite cute and quaint and is located in the old town . Quite beautiful.

No coffee machine in the room nor at a centrally located area, perhaps in the lobby of the hotel. There also was no mini- fridge in the room . There was a large complementary water on the table as you walked inside your room, but truly missed the refrigerator in room

Great location, pretty authentic hotel with history. Vintage furniture but kept well. The room came with 2 fans and even though the day was hot, the room was ok. The breakfast was exceptional. They even had chocolate milk which is my son's few foods. The desk was very helpful and greeted us warmly. We had 2 rooms. Ours was large for our family of 5 and my parents also had a lovely room that felt special.

Parking was very difficult and stressful. The hotel parking was full. We had 7 people and one car and weren't able to find a spot for over an hour. I saw other hotel have a shuttle service or are able to be more accommodating with parking.

The staff was so hospitable, friendly and helpful. The wonderful service and exceptional attention by every staff member really made this a special stay. The hotel itself is beautiful. A true gem, and historical and artistic experience. Beautifully maintained and very clean. The included breakfast was amazing. We liked the hotel restaurant so much for dinner the first evening that we ate there again the second night, and both dinners were the best we’ve had in Germany. We loved our stay there and we’d love to go back.

Fantastic location. Parking is a slight challenge but it is a 12th century walled city so be patient when parking your car. 2 min walk to the central marketplace. Homely hotel. Wonderful and helpful staff. The breakfast was nice and hit the spot. So easy to get around the town and lots of restaurants, cafes etc. Highly recommend this property.

No real issues. The only thing worth changing would be to move to large shower gel and shampoo and move away from minis but I assume this will happen over time.

This was a delightful property, very comfortable, warm and clean. The staff were welcoming and helpful. The hotel is conveniently close to the town square but very quiet as well. We enjoyed our dinner in the restaurant.

We were in what was (I think) the very highest room in the hotel. while the room itself was delightful, it was up a steep staircase once the elevator reached its limit. Dragging heavy suitcases up (and down) the staircase was, for an older couple, quite difficult. Might I suggest that booking staff try to only place younger guests in that particular room? One more suggestion is that when breakfast staff seat you at a table, that they take the tea/coffee order then? The staff seemed to be very busy and occasionally forgot to come back for our order.

Location was perfect - the staff were all incredibly helpful and courteous - we utilized the hotel's own little parking garage and staff went with us to make sure we got to it correctly as the little narrow one-way roads make this a challenge. Our room was quiet, comfortable with a spacious bath. The breakfast buffet offering was excellent, great coffee and you can walk to everything you'd want to see in the center of Rothenburg OBT...would highly recommend.

We specifically wanted a room within the walls of the town so we could come back to the room easily to warm up after walking around town. The hotel had a small garage several blocks away as there was no parking on the very small streets. The pre-arrival directions were very helpful in terms of assuring us we could drive through the city gate and park in front of the hotel long enough to take our bags in. A very helpful hotel employee then guided me through the labyrinth of narrow streets to the garage where we left the car.

Just off the main square, excellent location for exploring the old city. Very clean and comfortable, spacious room, very modern bathroom, totally fun old Europe feel, lots of thoughful details like being able to turn out the room lights from each bed. Staff thoughtful and helpful. Breakfast was delicious and included scrambled eggs!

We should have taken a taxi from the train station. It's a ten minute walk, but over cobblestones with lots of curbs and small rises in the road as you go. I wanted more time in the hotel and more time in Rothenberg.
