It was an easy train ride, less than 20 minutes, three stops from Cologne/Bonn airport to Troisdorf. Then a five minute walk to Hotel Primula. it’s a cozy hotel, with everything within easy walking distance. I was greeted by Mr. Eissa Nabil, an Excellent Host, who went out of his way to make sure I understood where the restaurants were located, and he was happy to translate German to English for me! He felt more like a good friend, rather than hotel host. The bed was incredibly comfortable…..and I had two excellent nights sleep! I ate two delicious meals one at Ju Ju, an Asian Cuisine as well as a variety of Hearty German specials.. it was a plate of wonderful food, enough for two people! The second night I ate incredible Pizza at Il Giorgio, only a few blocks from Hotel Primula. they had a lovely setting in the back garden among Olive trees and grape vines under a series of open umbrellas….real Italian food…..welcoming staff…… I was having trouble walking but after a 90 minute Thai Massage, I felt like a young man again, and could move on without my cane. It a tiny place, diagonally from the old church, look for the High steeple. I wish I could have stayed longer

very clean, cosy room with a big conformable bed, friendly staff in a central location close to the train station. The rich breakfast was prepared for us ahead of time because we had to leave very early.

a coffee/tea facility and a small table for the computer work would have been nice.

'Credit card as payment guarantee' is what it says on the site. But arriving at the hotel the card has already been charged, and they are unwilling to change it so I can pay with a different card. Not good.

Great value. Hotel is 3 minutes' walk from railway & bus station so easy trip into Cologne & avoids having to obtain & pay for green sticker if having to drive to a Cologne central hotel. Very good breakfast. Located very close to bars, restaurants & shops.

If you leave the car in the parking and you have to drive something at night (I had to be at the Cologne airport at 2:00, pick up a husband) do not leave the car under the sign Primula, because you will not be outside. Leave the car closer to the entrance. And it will cost 2 x 6eur

I liked the breakfast lots of coffee and food selection. The bed was comfortable and clean. Nice hot shower, nice big tv, good WiFi. Friendly staff. Location in the centre of town is good.

The room was small. A bit noisy outside, but okay.

The Staff are very welcoming and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Despite being in the Covid-19, and thus fewer people staying in the hotel the breakfast had an excellent choice of items and everything was of quality and was fresh.
