It is a new hotel. It is the closest hotel to the Acropolis. The staff was surprisingly excellent and friendly. We felt we were welcome.

The restaurant is fairly poor, which was entirely unexpected for Greece, with neither dinner nor breakfast to our liking. But again, the staff was very attentive they managed to find lactose-free yoghurt even though it was not on the menu. The gym was really tiny and the equipment was old and poor.

Location is perfect - just by Acropolis and museum, also Plaka district. Breakfast room with view of the Acropolis is gorgeous. Athens Was suite had a great view and was spacious.

I found the bed too hard and would have liked a more substantial doona. Booked a taxi for 6am the night before and it didn’t arrive until 6.15am. When you are on a tight schedule going to the airport, these details are important.

Incredible location. A five minute walk to the Acropolis area and right on the edge of the Plaka. Great for walking everywhere. Great breakfast in a small and beautiful rooftop restaurant with great views of Acropolis. Room was comfortable. Staff very friendly and helpful. I’d happily stay there again. Would just fine-tune the housekeeping and have them show us how to use the lights, since it was confusing,

We never received housekeeping. We’d be gone every day from about 8 am until at least 1 pm, but housekeepers didn’t come to our room until after 2. By then, we were tired and resting. They did give us fresh towels and were otherwise helpful. I requested that they come earlier the next day but they didn’t. Lighting in room was a bit odd. We couldn’t figure out how to turn on/off the fixtures on either side of the bed and ending up unplugging them.

Location incredible.

Rooms are small (it’s a city centre hotel!), it lacks spirit. Bar only opens at 6pm. It’s functional but not exciting!

The location was unrivalled, the staff were very pleasant, the breakfast was fantastic and the restaurant in general was excellent.

The walls are paper thin. We were privy to at least two crystal-clear arguments from our neighbours, which was not ideal. It also makes you very conscious about your own volume levels. Also, the TV was very dated; whilst you don't want to waste your days in Athens glued to the gogglebox, on your downtime having the ability to watch more than BBC World and/or be able to watch Netflix or cast from your phone would have be nice.

My wife and I had a short wonderful hassle free 2 night stay at this boutique hotel (early Nov 23) The location is great central with lots of amenities and food options close by. Entrance to the Acropolis is a minute away with Plaka 5 minutes away. The hotel is in a pedestrianised street. On arrival we were warmly welcomed by Margarita (who was exceptional throughout our stay) and the kind porter. They gave us small canapés and a welcome shot. It was our anniversary and they kindly arranged a bottle of alcohol and chocolate cake and a hand written note. When we advised we don't drink alcohol they exchanged for a mocktails which was lovely. There was a very small issue with the room which was resolved immediately and we were kindly upgraded us immediately to a suite. The room has full amenities with iron and ironing table dropped off for the full stay. Even for tea they kindly provided hot milk upon request. Breakfast is a la carte on the rooftop with views of the Parthenon. It was a extensive menu with freshly baked bread which was delightful. The breakfast was exceptional and the roof also retracts so in good weather its outdoors! On the first night we had mocktails in the evening which was a lovely vibe with a wonderful lady serving us. Rest of the restaurant staff were ok. The front of house service is exceptional, Margarita and the porter were truly great. We booked airport transfers through the hotel, as it was our first time in Athens, it was very reasonably priced. When we needed a taxi they went above and beyond going to the main road with us to get a convenient cab. Margarita has exceptional restaurant recommendations, noting we were vegetarian, and we had some of the best meals in Athens. She really knows her stuff and is a credit to the hotel and Athens. This hotel is highly recommended for any trip to Athens with great service and exceptional location. We had a great stay here, the service was exceptional.

Beautiful stylish hotel incredibly located for touring Athens. The hotel is very well designed and the rooms, while not large, are comfortable with excellent amenities. The top floor restaurant has a great breakfast menu also features a mind blowing view of Athens but mainly the unobstructed view of of the Acropolis. The staff is very helpful and friendly. We started our trip and tour of Athens here because it was located in Plaka, one of the nicest areas of the city and also centrally located to most of the sites there are to see in Athens. The entrance to the Acropolis for example is 100 yards up the street and the Temple of Zeus is across the street in the other direction.

Although not tiny, the rooms are a bit on the small side but still comfortable. Compared to some other hotels in Athens that are at the same level of style and comfort, this was an expensive stay, especially considering that it was during low season. Basically, you are paying a premium for location. In this case, we chose to do so and were happy we did.

This is a lovely, lovely hotel! Having a really delicious breakfast [and it is Michelin stuff!] looking onto the Acropolis's is out of a Disney playbook! Memorable and defining of our Athens holiday! An unbeatable combination of 5 star venue in the perfect location if you are doing the sights in Athens!

I stress this wouldn't stop us returning to Athens Was. We have traveled more than most! We are not nit pickers ...accepting all hotel experiences come with great and less great aspects. But... we found our room just a 'little' dark. A product of contemporary modern hotel room design. Looks great... but steals from the 'total' enjoyment. [just one example- we needed to use our phone torch to operate the safe - the room lighting was not sufficient for us to confidently read the display keypad. There are heaps of lights designed to provide a 'mood' ambience. But we stress again - we would have no hesitation returning to the hotel. The experience was terrific!

The location of this hotel is great, right where you want to be in Athens and VERY close to the Acropolis. The staff is wonderful, the food served at the hotel was great and the room amenities were awesome. We did eat at the restaurant a couple times and the food was amazing and of course the view of the Acropolis is out of this world.

The only thing I would complain about was that we paid around $500 to upgrade our room and where we were at, we had a view of the street, which was fine but it was noisy 24/7. I expected maybe sound proof glass or something but it was noisy all night and woke us up several times. Nothing that would prevent me from staying there in the future but if you're a light sleeper, request a room not over the street.

Great location in Plaka near the Acropolis and all the pedestrian areas. The room was comfortable and large by European standards. The staff were friendly and helpful. The restaurant was awesome. A daily view of the Acropolis is hard to beat.

The only negative is the hotel’s close proximity to a major road. It is a bit noisy at times so ear plugs are required unless you’re a heavy sleeper.
