Gatsby Athens is a charming, well-located property. Walkably near everything most tourists explore, plus near many restaurant options and nightlife. Public areas are lovely. Breakfasts were delicious and abundant. Room was pleasant, clean and well tended. Lots of hot water. Comfortable bed. But the real strength of the Gatsby Arms is its staff. Absolutely terrific. Helpful, anticipatory, kind.

Had a leaky shower. Staff immediately addressed, but not easily repaired. A simple rolled towel at base of door resolved issue. Staff provided take-away breakfast boxes for early starts, but sadly no spoons to eat the incredible yogurt - twice.

Everything was perfect! The rooms were beautifully designed and very cosy. The bed was comfortable and huge, nice pillows as well. We felt at home and very welcome, also because of the amazing staff. The breakfast was the best ever, and the cocktails very tasty. For Easter they gave us a surprise package, explaining the traditions. For my birthday they surprised me with a cake that was brought to our room. Beyond happy with our stay! One of our best trips thanks to this amazing hotel.

The hotel was very beautiful and had a unique vibe, the staff was very delightful and kind, they helped us with everything we needed with a smile on their face. It’s close to everything you could ever want in the city- shops, supermarkets, restaurants and other activities.

The breakfast was nice, but we preferred it to be a buffet. The menu didn’t have enough of a verity. In addition, when we asked for cleaning, they just organized the room, but didn’t clean or take out the trash. Their gym and massage were closed due to renovations, but they told us just when we arrived, I’d like to know it before hand (they offered other places in the area instead).

Wonderful staff and so easy to communicate with them on WhatsApp. Responsive to our needs and sorted any issues - including complimentary upgrade to a suite! WiFi was excellent, room well-appointed and comfortable bed. We had the breakfast every morning and also dinner in the restaurant - all fabulous. Especially the chocolate pancakes!

We did move room because of the noise from the bar (live music each night) - once we were on the 5th floor this was much improved. Otherwise, all perfect!

From the moment we arrived, Hotel Gatsby demonstrated why they're a top-tier accommodation. Our initial room didn't meet our expectations, but the hotel's response was nothing short of exceptional. Maria, the Assistant Hotel Manager, personally intervened. She listened to our concerns and promptly upgraded us to a stunning suite. Her commitment to ensuring guest satisfaction was remarkable. We were moved to a spacious room before check-in time, completely changing our experience. The Geco Restaurant deserves special mention. Excellent cocktails, delightful cuisine, and a very lively atmosphere made our dining experiences memorable. The hotel's location in Athens is also perfect, adding to the overall appeal. What truly impressed us was the staff's proactive approach. Instead of being defensive, they were genuinely committed to ensuring our comfort and satisfaction. This level of service transforms a good hotel stay into an extraordinary one. The staff, the size of the room, the breakfast that was served until 12:00.

Even on the 4th floor you could hear the loud music from the restaurant and bar on the ground floor. No cooling A/C during our stay (December), the room was hot and we needed to open the window for some fresh air, then the music bacame louder. Also, there was a smell from the sewerage in the wet area. Other than that the stay was fabulous, the hotel is really really great and the staff too. I also must mention that all of the above wasn't communicated to the team in real time. I believe that if it was - it probably would have been handled, properly.

Exceptional Stay with Outstanding Staff! I recently stayed at this hotel with my family, and I can confidently say it was one of the best experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make me feel welcome. The check-in process was seamless, and we were greeted with genuine smiles and warm hospitality. The room was spotless, beautifully decorated, and equipped with everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Housekeeping did an excellent job every day, ensuring everything was perfect. What truly sets this hotel apart is its incredible staff. Every single team member we encountered was friendly, attentive, and eager to assist. They provided great recommendations for local attractions and restaurants, and nothing ever seemed too much trouble. The concierge team, in particular, deserves a special mention for their professionalism and efficiency. If you’re looking for a place where you’ll be treated like royalty, this is it. We can’t recommend it enough and will definitely be returning. A huge thank you to the entire team for making my stay so memorable!

The hotel had a great vibe, the room was spacious and very week decorated. All the amenities were great with highlights of super comfy bed and great shower. Location was great as well and ideal for anyone doing sightseeing.

Unfortunately the room was very hot. It seems like the ac system is centralised and if you want to use cold during the winter, the room won’t accept it. For whatever reason my room was nearly 28 degrees and we had to change rooms. The only solution ended up being opening the window, which solved the issue but then brought the street noise as a new issue.

What a beautiful hotel this is. From the first moment you arrive, till the last moment you leave. All the staff are extremely customer focused, friendly with a personal touch. Rooms are great, high quality and comfortable, from good beds, great shower till romantic lighting. The reception went out of their way to reserve a fantastic restaurant with traditional Greek food. Also their restaurant is of high quality which will excite your tastebuds. You couldn’t find a better place to stay, their location is in the middle of the old centre, restaurants, nightlife and main sightseeing spots. GATSBY is a true gem to stay in Athens!
