My room was very well acquainted … nicely decorated and clean. The only issue was the shower door leaked onto the floor outside and it was a bit of a mess… however it seems that in Europe having proper shower enclosures are not popular… you seem to always have to deal with a soaked bathroom after one showers. My room was small and I had a view of a brick wall but it was quiet which I appreciated since it was in a busy area and alley which I suspect would not have been quiet if I faced the street. The bed was super comfortable… good strong shower a rarity in Europe… and I really loved the decor and lighting.

I didn’t like that the property didn’t have good security. The property was also a cafe and they tended not to welcome you as a hotel or inn would do typically .. the person in the front was always having to deal with the tables so it was very odd when I first got there. The door that led to the rooms was in the back and was not locked during the day and into the night… not sure if it ever was locked. There was no security where you would have to use a key to access the rooms which was a bit concerning for a solo traveler like me.

We loved the bed and shower. Just excellent. The bed was super comfy and actually made the city noise a non issue. The amenities we're very high quality, particular the body wash in the shower was sublime. The location is brilliant, you're in the city centre and are in the middle of shopping, attractions, bars and restaurants. Fantastic location. The hotel itself is very charming. Staff were very welcoming. When we arrived the particular lady who greeted was so lovely and helped us with a few things which we didn't expect. The breakfast is worth it and good quality if you need a bite. We always got the fruit salad, omelette, and espressos and were very pleased. The bar and cafe sitting area on the ground level is very nice and we enjoyed sitting there a couple times after a long day out.

The room size fit us, a couple, very snuggly. It is small. The bed takes up much of the room and the balcony is small too so not much walking way. It would be perfect for a solo traveller and great for a couple who intend to use the room predominantly to sleep and shower but spend most of their trip out and about (like us).

The service of the staff was incredible. From check in to check out. They are friendly and hugely helpful. A brilliant team. They arranged an awesome taxi driver called Theo as my transfer to and from Athens airport while also giving really good restaurant recommendations. As a father travelling with my 3 year old very active son, I managed to bump my head. I was panicking as I had a flight in an couple of hours out of Athens and was bleeding alot. The team called the ambulance and looked after my 3 year old until the ambulance arrived while also packing and helping me out alot. Thanks to them I made my flight and felt a sense of relief that my child was in safe hands while I was being attended to. A big thanks to them for everything. Will stay there again when I return to Athens.

The hotel is very close to Syntagma Square and, in 5 minutes, you can walk to Monastiraki and other beautiful landmarks. The room is cleaned properly and has essential furniture. The staff is always kind and ready to help you in any way they can especially the brown curly haired girl (sorry if we don’t remember your name but thank you from the Greek/non-greek guy and his girlfriend). A perfect place for your staying in Athens. P.S. if you need a taxi the hotel calls a licensed cab driver who is an amazing person: you can be brought to destination and in the meantime have a pleasant conversation.

Great location clean modern

I requested early check in had arrived early I understand rooms are not ready -girl made no effort to assist eventually got into room at 3.30 pm room had problem plumber required-She then told me if I downgraded I could of had room at 11am -I would have taken as I was leaving at 5.30 am -real bad experience-another lady there on lap top (manager)I think did not engage -night porter excellent and evening receptionist -I will be in Athens 3 nights a week for next 6 months I won’t be staying here (pity)

Exceptionally fresh, clean, well-furnished and well-designed modern place. Friendly staff. Great breakfast. Loved staying here and would love to come back. Re: noise, the hotel is located in a super busy tourist neighborhood, but in a quiet nook. Sometimes things got loud, but not too bad.

Wish the room was a tad larger. Not much outside the window except the opposite wall. A sink located in the hallway is a peculiar design decision, but I got used to it.

Breakfast was very good with a variety of local food. The location was excellent in the center of the city which allowed you to walk to most of the historic sites. Staff upgraded us to larger room with balcony for second stay.

The first room was small with little room to put our luggage. Lack of closet or drawers to put your stuff. Small refrigerator. The shower door seal was damaged which allowed water to leak all over the floor.

Métis is a absolutely great location in the heart of Athens for getting to tourist sites and great food. It was excellent value for the money.

The room is very tight and the shower was small and the shower was not well laid out. If you are looking for a quiet place, the roof top bar next door plus loud music until late. Unfortunately during our stay the complex next door was under construction and started early.

The hotel position is perfect being in central Athens, with easy access to the shops and the main square was just a short walk away. Breakfast is chosen the night before and the hotel do not really like changes on the day. However as the hotel is quite small, a buffet breakfast would not be pheasable. Quality of the food was excellent so no real complaint. There is small bar inside serving drinks and light food ,and tables to sit at outside the hotel if preferred. The english speaking staff were excellent and very helpful, and could arrange transfers,taxis and plenty of advice.

The corners of the bed stick out a little,and I did catch my leg on them a couple of times. As mentioned above, I would prefer a buffet style breakfast.

It is a lovely place for a short-time stay. The room was cosy and full of any amenity required. Centrally located just few meters from shopping Ermou street and 5 min to Monastiraki area. Relatively expensive but good value for money, especially given its location. The receptionist was extremely helpful and welcoming.

Breakfast was terrible. It seemed that they did not know to cook. Either salty, or not fresh, or bad quality. And it is not a standard breakfast. You need to choose in advance from the limited options offered. Not worth paying for breakfast at all. Nearby there are plenty of cafes to have a bite in the morning.
