Great location. Good breakfast. Nice for one night precruises. Got the connecting room for my family with two teens and was decent value but great to be able to walk around near plaka and acropolis. Since our 2nd time in Athens we didn't need to do all tour stuff again. Great view from balcony to see Temple of Zeus.

Stairs were dangerous. Elevator was the normal tiny so we try to use stairs in Europe but felt these posed some hazard as they were spiraling.

The hotel was very high quality and the view from the rooftop restaurant was amazing

The breakfast needed to be better organized, but it was a busy morning for them.

The check in desk staff were all helpful and friendly. Check in went well, we were able to store our bags since we arrived in the morning, and when we got back in the afternoon, the bags were in our room. Breakfast on the terrace was lovely, I wish we had planned ahead to eat dinner at the hotel. The location was an easy walk to so many attractions, and we also used the bus, and could have used the metro. It was a perfect location for our interests.

Our room did have a fair amount of street noise, but to be fair, the hotel is located on a major road, so that's to be expected.

The hotel is really nice! It is very close to all the sights, you can just walk! The rooms are big and we had a balcony with view to the Acropolis! The staff was wonderful! Breakfast was served on the rooftop and was amazing! One side with a view to the Acropolis, the other side with a view to the Zeus-temple! I really liked the strict guidelines for Corona-safety! There was a lot of space between the tables, fresh air and the buffet was monitored carefully by the staff: masks and gloves were mandatory while standing at the buffet. All in all we had a really wonderful time in Athens!

We had the most amazing time at The Athens Gate Hotel because we stayed at the top of the building in a suite which had a balcony facing the Acropolis one way and Zeus' temple the other. It was a perfect room for viewing the Acropolis in the day and at night. We could also see other historical sites from the balcony. The hotel is a short walk from all the historical sites and the old town. The suite itself had a large bathroom, bedroom and lounge - giving us a perfect base for lots of site seeing.

The breakfast could be improved with more fresh fruit and variety.

Location was great-2 minute walk to the Acropolis and Hadrian's Gate and the Temple of Zeus right directly across the street. Restaurants and shopping close by with easy walk. Breakfast buffet very good with great view of the Acropolis from the rooftop while eating. Rooms clean and beds comfortable with a mini refrigerator in the room. The public areas were attractive.

For us, we found the bathtub and shower difficult to use-there was a quarter panel glass shower door with no shower curtain, so water tended to get all over the bathroom floor. The shower sides were tall and it was a bit difficult to get into and nothing to grab on to to help. The elevators were tiny, holding only two people at a time so there was often a long wait for the elevators. Unable to accommodate our requests to get into room a bit early after a 24 hour travel day and unable to place our family's two rooms on the same floor.

Our room did not have a view. Shower was great - not a tub shower and the beds were comfortable and the room was serviced daily. The location of the hotel is excellent. The staff were really great to deal with - especially the staff in the dinning/ bar area. One even remembered us from a visit 9 years ago and related a story that we had forgotten about. Nice touch! At breakfast, staff looked after our needs even when extremely busy with travel groups. And the food was excellent as we had a couple of dinners there in addition to morning breakfast (which was outstanding). At dinner, choice was good and the lamb dish was particularly well prepared.

But the three things about the hotel that could use a change - first the temperature in each room. We stayed there twice over the past two weeks and found the room hot, and could not adjust the AC. So we had to leave the balcony door open, which really did not help. The second thing are the elevators - two and they each only take two people, so waiting times are sometimes long. And third, if you want to walk down the stairs, there are no hand rails until you reach the bottom floor - and the stair case is spiral, so somewhat dangerous for older folks. But still, overall, a great place to stay and Athens and this is reflected by the fact that this was not our first stay at the hotel over the past years.

Room is a great size and very comfortable. Central location is worth the money.

When you book and told you are getting a monument view you expect better than 2nd floor with obscured view. It was very underwhelming and felt like not a good value for the price paid as far as the view. Also it was annoying paper given said check out night before, I went out of my way to do this but was told just check out on the morning which obviously makes sense. This should be changed

This was an exceptional and safe feeling hotel. We had a beautiful room with an Acropolis view and balcony. Everything was perfectly clean and comfortable- the bathroom and bedding especially were top notch. The roof top restaurant at the hotel was the icing on the cake and we had one of the best meals here during our 3 week stay in Europe! My favorite part was I could adjust the air conditioning to my preference- not a lot of hotels do that apparently. The staff also was very helpful and friendly, answering messages from the booking.com site very quickly too. They even gave us a to go breakfast box because we had to leave so early and arranged a taxi for us. We would 100% recommend this hotel!

There wasn't a single thing we didn't like!

Hotel is walking distance to train, botanical gardens, shops and markets. Breakfast had a selection of bread and cakes on the roof top with a great view of the acropolis. Doormen were fantastic.

Rooms were small yet comfortable. Little amenities were available in the bathroom eg- no toothbrush. No early check in was available on either room. Staff(man) at reception and ladies at breakfast weren’t helpful. No Gluten free options at breakfast. Only 2 at a time in the lift.
