upon arrival, we turned the key to our room and it was really a disappointment, no view, on the dark side and not very spacious. I instantly rang reception and the lady told us she had one other room that had interconnecting rooms so we were moved to that and goodness I was so grateful to her (thank you!) as it was superbly spacious, big bedrooms, big bathroom, big balcony and what a view! We were over the moon as our whole trip was about seeing the Meteora and at the time of booking the hotel, I do not recall a large room being available for me to select. The rooms themselves are very simply furnished, a little old style and the beds not magnificently comfortable but they were adequate. But compared to the initial room on a lower level with no view over the Meteora, it far, far exceeded our expectations and as we were there for 3 nights, we really welcomed the extra space. At night, the view from the balcony was absolutely magnificent. I have to say all the staff on the reception desk were excellent and had good English. Location was fantastic and you literally have a whole choice of restaurants in very nearby Kastraki town or you can drive a little further into Kalampaka itself. The view from the pool is exactly as the photos portray it

We all felt breakfast could have been a bit better. Whilst there was a very big choice, there was no variation on any of the mornings we were there. The pool was a fantastic size and a good number of loungers and beanbags available to all. However, the water in the pool was very, very cloudy and green and we stayed in 4 different hotels with pools on our trip, we can say the water in this pool was the least clean for sure so that was disappointing.

The view is amazing, the hotel is on great calm location, away of noise, cars.. The lobby area was very nice. We will definitely come in spring or summer months so we can use the pool and enjoy the view. Meteora is a must see. We also visited Trikala Christmas Market and the kids loved it. The staff was nice and very polite.

As we were in December, I didn't like the floor in the room, as it was with tiles, coz it fels colder, and also no heating unit in the bathroom. The breakfast was sort of variety (salty and sweet), but still, i felt it like uncomplited, like something was missing. For winter days, the hotel is definitly missing some spa center, like sauna, turkish bath, and heated pool. Imagine taking a bath in an outdoor heated pool in December and admiring Meteora rocks behind you ❤️

The hotel is well located, not too far from the main road so easy reachable. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is very goof. The main reason you want to stay here is the view. You have a second to none view of the Meteora mountains from the terrace and pool area. Our room as also facing the mountains and we could witness the sunrise from the privacy of our room terrace, which was magical.

The hotel restaurant has a bit of a cafeteria feel, it is functional but not very cosy. The decor and furniture in the rooms are dated, still all very clean and in good working conditions but not the most modern style.

This is a fantastic hotel for going on hikes to the monasteries or just relaxing by the pool and marvelling at the view! The hotel has a restaurant that served some of the most delicious salads I tasted in Greece and since the location is remote, it's quiet and wonderful for deep nourishing sleep (as long as you don't mind the crickets :D).

Make sure to arrange transportation in advance as connections are rare and can get sold out ;) The staff at the reception is very helpful with all the assistance you might require and knowledgeable about which monastery is closed on which day etc.

This is a perfect hotel in this area!!! It is located outside village Kastraki, on the hills, facing beautiful Meteora rocks and we were lucky to arrive there in the sunset when the view was amazing! Since it is outside of the village, it is perfectly quiet, I couldn't imagine a better accomodation for visiting Meteora. Breakfast was extremely rich, many different options, you cannot manage to try everything. Restaurant is open all day, food is excellent and prices are moderate, like in any other restaurant but you can have a dinner right beside the pool in a beautiful terrace.

WiFi in the room was extremely weak.

Great view from room (we paid to stay in a room facing Meteora). Pool area was clean and with that magnificent view again! The hotel had a relaxed feel. Beds were comfortable. Shower had good pressure and temperature. Continental breakfast was more than reasonable.

The AC controls were a bit quirky, however a member of hotel staff came to help us immediately. Once it was up-and-running it was fine. We could hear people in the corridor at night (a late check-in)... but this isn't the hotel's fault! This is generally a quiet, peaceful stay. If you have a car, this is a great base to unwind between trips to see / hike / climb Meteora. The local village and nearby town have everything you could need, with good tavernas and restaurants. We were pleased to have chosen Meteora Hotel at Kastraki.

Comfortable, modern rooms with a fantastic view of the mountains. Good wifi. The Lobby area was a great space and a good place to sit and have a drink with a view of the mountains. The restaurant was v. good - after a long drive to get to the hotel it was nice not to have to drive into town to look for somewhere. Good menu and service, and with wine from the vineyard next door. Breakfast also v. good.

All good as far as I was concerned. The only point to bear in mind - not the hotel's issue - is that Google Maps seemed to be a bit challenged getting us the final few yards.

The Gardens are beautiful, it is in a tranquil setting which just offsets the view of the Meteora landscape. Being set back, that little bit out of town is totally worth the effort as the view from a distance is just spectacular, something that will not be achieved by staying in town. The staff were very helpful and laying by the pool with the full view of the rocks is just breathtaking. There is an outdoor gym for those that are interested, I can highly recommend doing a morning or sunset tour for 4 hours with Meteora trip, you are picked up from the hotel and don’t have to fight for a park at any of the monasteries! Plenty of parking available if you are driving.

This place was perfect ! We got last room day before we arrived at hotel, because of spontanoues idea to visit to Meteora day earlier. Girl at the reception was extra helpful with booking a tour to Meteora, booking a taxi for as and in general. We decided to stay this place for one more day, not to got to another hotel what we book previously at Kalabaka. She gave us great suit with balcony panoramic view to Meteora rocks, for very nice price including breakfast. Also we really enjoyed chilling near the pool and drinking coctails with Meteora view. :))

There is nothing to say, because everything was perfect !

The view at the Meteora mountains from the balcony was absolutely astonishing. Very calm atmosphere, very beautiful, nice plants around the place, nice pool. Fireplace in the evening is irreplaceable - it smells and provides warm rest after the long day. Good choice of food for the breakfast. Very nice and helpful staff at the reception desk.

Wifi connection was not working nigher in the room, nor in the foyer. The pillow was a little bit tuffer than I expected. There was a 3rd bed in the room which you can not avoid even if you travel alone. A little bit far from the city so you need a car anyway.
