Staff is polite. The parking lot provides more than enough space and is secure. The water pool is clean. The beach was clean and has nice rock formation. Place is ideal for people appreciating a relax atmosphere and prefer to walk a while. I enjoyed the evening walks worth the sea breeze. The hotel it is maintained recently, and owners try to give to the rooms character. However, the technical staff did a somewhat sloppy job. My feeling is the owners will fix these.

My advice is avoid the ground floor rooms! All the negatives aspects of my experience derive from the fact I stayed in one of these rooms (101-103). Actually, it is not ground for, rather it is half basement. Air does not circulate properly and are spots with bad smell. Think of something like deodorant combined worth mold. Upper floors obviously will not face the same problem. Mattresses are a bit firm and not really comfortable.

Six stars! Silver sun checks all the boxes and more: family run and always available to help, quiet clean apartments, beautiful grounds, a large pool with a poolside bar offering food and to top it off an almost private beach. Hint: save yourself the hassle of driving and parking in Malia; leave your car at silver sun and take a taxi into town. There are also two very good tavernas within walking distance along the beach, one to the west alongside Malia Port and the other to east before Potamos beach.

This place is a bit far from the centre of Malia, but it's in a very calm spot with barely any people on the beach. They have a nice pool with plenty of chairs and parasols, a restaurant kiosk and a few tables for a snack. The staff is delightful, they are always ready to help, very prompt and very friendly. There's wifi everywhere, ample parking space, aircon in the rooms, a balcony, a rack for our clothes, a small kitchen with cleaning tools and plenty of power outlets. The beach is rocky, but a less rocky area is a stone's throw away from there. It was my favourite spot in Malia.

The bed is not very comfy and my wife and I prefer double beds and ended up with twins. The shower has no barrier and the whole bathroom gets wet. There's no hair drier.

The location is absolutely amazing! The hotel swimming pool, sun beds and bar are really welcoming and not too crowded. The beach is also great, as there aren't many people. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. The views are spectacular, both at the sea and the mountains. The area is quiet and perfect for relaxation. There are shops and restaurants nearby.

Kitchen appliances in the room could've been better, but they are enough for basic meal preparation. There aren't door locks in bathrooms.

Utterly beautiful, peaceful and blissful location away from the mass tourism of nearby Malia. The hotel is owned by a lovely local family who are so very helpful and kind which really made our stay even better. The apartment had everything we needed and our balcony had a view of the sea and the mountains to the rear. Watching the sun go down of an evening and the local boats come into port will be a treasured memory. I loved the Greek salad and the special omelettes are loaded with vegetables and bacon and cheese. Great when you are gluten free! Absolutely nothing!! It was fabulous!

If you are looking for a quiet place and a fantastic sandy beach this is the place for you ❤️ this family hotel is located right on the beach which is a big advantage and offers self catering accommodation but you can buy a variety of drinks and dishes at the bar if you like. The rooms open into the balcony with astonishing sea views so you can observe the boats sailing and sunsets/sunrises as well. The entrance into the sea is really comfortable if you go with children as it is not deep unlike the other beaches nearby. Lots of flowers, lots of sunbeds, nice pool, there is even a small library so you can enjoy reading while sunbathing. Katerina and Eva were always very helpful so if you need anything just contact them.

Perfect location right on the beach, spotlessly clean, great little pool and bar, amazing value, wonderful hosts, quiet and peaceful, great food and service. We loved this family run hotel/apartment so much we're returning next year.. Katerina and Eva were so warm, friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We loved staying here.

The beds were a tad hard, but they were very clean, with daily maid service. Other than that, everything was perfect.

Very friendy hosts.The hotel is near the beach, has a swimming pool and a nice bar. Rooms are big enough for what you need on vacation. Close to the motorway.

The only thing that bothered us was the small shower without curtain or door. Maybe could have more storage units, since there is enough space in the room. Otherwise perfect!

  Located on the beach, with well kept pool, with children's section, a nice garden, with plenty of sun beds. The hotel is quiet and the neighbouring up market hotels are also quiet Pool side snack bar. Rooms have free; safe, WiFi and AC. Wifi is not very fast and drops out. Sandy beach in front of the hotel leads to sea with access points to avoid the rocks, no sun beds on the beach. A couple of restaurants, supermarket within a few minutes walk. Car park for residents. The downtown Malia beach area is 2km away a 25 min walk. Rooms are small, all have small balcony with a table and two chairs, There is no room inside for the table and chairs. Rooms have very limited storage space, but nicely decorated and well maintained. No TV. Nice small bathroom, with very small shower cubicle with no curtain, lacks shelves for toiletries and hooks for towels. Water was hot all the time apart from one day when it was cloudy, likely solar water heater, water pressure is good. Kitchenette in small area, sink, fridge, two ring stove and utensils, no microwave or oven. Cleaning was first class, but rooms only serviced every 2 or 3 days. The whole hotel is kept very clean and tidy. We enjoyed staying here and would highly recommend it to anyone wanting a quiet relaxing holiday.   The apartments lead on to the well kept garden in which the pool is located, plenty of sun beds. The beach is beyond the garden, which is a fine sand beach but some rocks in the water, pathways lead through the rocks. The apartments have a Snack bar and attractive seating area. Location was spot on ,,, pool, sandy beach beautiful blue sea, what more could you want, the pool bar was lovely,the food I had there was well made and very tasty, the pool and surrounding area was very clean, as were the rooms, cleaners came in regularly, fresh sheets and towels,

There was nothing I didn’t like, you do need some kind of transport but if you want peace and quiet, this is the price you pay,
