- location in fact is bad: it's in an industrial part of the city, surrounded by car services, gasoline stations, etc. All the restaurants are at least 15mins away. The beach in front of the hotel is quite small, dirty and rocky, and the main blue flag beach is around 30-40 mins away from the hotel - as for us, breakfast was a bit late - from 8:30 till 10:30. We used to get up early and would rather have breakfast earlier. Also, because of the late time, it was often overcrowded at 8:30 and even people have to wait for an available table

The location of the hotel is great, walking distance to the old town (10 minutes). Many restaurants and shops in the surrounding. Room is clean, spacious, breathtaking view from the balcony over the sea and the old town. Very good and large bathroom. The room, the bathroom are both modern and comfortable, also the bed. Breakfast is delicious. There is lot of free parking near the hotel which is an added value if you want to rent a car. In front of the hotel, crossing the road, there is a cozy sand beach, crystal clear water, with a small bay where family can swim safely. We love it so much. Not to forget the friendly team in the hotel. Even the owner of the hotel (Mr.Stelios) was available and provided us with needed assistance and tips which made our stay superb. Definitely we will come again especially after finding out how beautiful Rethymno is.

Staff is really friendly. Excellent recommendations for small stunning beaches and good restaurants. Hotel kept very clean. Nice view on the sea and 15 mntn walk into the old town.

Airco made a lot of noice in the bedroom, but was fine in the living room. We had a room with a spa bath, with no place to hang the shower head so not easy to have a shower. We arrived early and there was not really a place to leave luggage, other than taking it to a hot pool area and wait there. Not ideal. We were with 4 people and only could have 1 key to the room. Understand the extra key cant be used to keep the airco going but 1 key for a family with older kids that also want to explore things on their own is not sufficient.

Great location, lovely swimming spot across the road, very attentive staff, stellar views from the balcony, super comfy bed, very clean. Stelios went above and beyond to accommodate our needs including stopping traffic for us so we could drive across the busy road and gave us prime parking spot for as long as we needed. Bonus points coz he was also hilarious. Pool bar was great and well priced drinks.

Staff could have told us or there should have been a sign saying that the air con stops working when your balcony door is partially open - we thought ours was broken and wasted time troubleshooting. Phone in room wasn’t working either. A few elements in the room didn’t make sense, like a hot plate for cooking but no cookware, no plugs in the sinks, a kettle and coffee pot but no coffee/tea/milk provided, cutlery and crockery yet no way of cooking a meal (?). Dinner recommendation from Stelios was unfortunately very average (sorry Stelios) - Taverna Galera - a bit touristy and missed the mark on both food and service (they forgot one of our dishes and the seafood risotto wasn’t great).

Exceptionally friendly, helpful and knowledgeable host and staff. It was great to be welcomed to the hotel and found out great information about places to explore in neighborhood and region The breakfast was good and balconies and porches added good value

There was a beautiful view of the pool and sea from our 9th floor room balcony. The pool was large, clean, and very nice. There was a pool bar and food available. There were loungers on the pool deck overlooking the sea and city. The manager was very friendly and helpful showing us to our room, where the best restaurants were located, and places to drive to with excellent beaches. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was provided by the hotel. The hotel is located about a 20 minute walk from the old town center. This area is flat and easily walkable. If you choose to walk along the seawall it is a more scenic walk. A city bus also runs into town. There are many shops, restaurants, and bars. The beach in town near the strip of bars was not worth spending time on in my opinion. This hotel had a small, rocky beach across the street that was not crowded. The hotel provides you with beach towels. The beach is good for a swim in the sea, but not for lingering for hours. At this time of year, we were able to find free parking near the hotel, but in very busy times I imagine this could be a challenge later in the summer. We did not meet ANY Americans at the hotel. The hotel was surprised we chose to stay there. I encourage my fellow Americans to check this place out. The staff speaks English and there is no problem staying in this area.

Breakfast was provided by the hotel. We stayed only two nights and there was some variety in the food. Many items were served cold and crescents, etc were warmed up in the oven and not fresh. The staff was working hard to replenish items. Fresh boiled eggs and 2 hot dishes were offered each day which was good. The food, however, was plentiful. If you stay on a high floor 5+, be aware that you must use three different small elevators to reach those floors or use stairs. My husband and and I were on the 9th floor and had no problem using either, but if you have mobility problems, just be aware of the fact the hotel is on a hillside.

Room views were fantastic, the beach was a five minute walk straight across the road and easily accessible, the hotel was clean and the staff extremely friendly. The breakfasts were always cooked fresh, were really nice and had lots of variety.

Not a huge issue but our room aircon could have been a little colder as it was very hot in the day, the 9th floor was a great view, very quiet and really nice but the trade off was 3 separate elevators or lots of stairs to get up there but it didn't spoil our visit at all and the exercise was welcome, so would we go on the 9th floor again - yes so it obviously wasn't a problem.

We had a fabulous stay. Whilst there was a little confusion over our room on the first night, we were upgraded so had a great stay before moving into our room for the rest of the week. The staff were super friendly and helpful, always willing to order taxis etc. Bed was very comfortable and bathroom super clean. Only 20min walk or 10min taxi into the Old Town and a great little beach opposite.

We did have to move rooms after our first night so weren't able to unpack immediately but otherwise fine. The pool bar was closed without notice one day.

Evrething was great,great apartments with excellent air conditioning,great pools,close to the beach,a huge balcony overlooking the sea,we had a great family rest!!!

The room was very clean and comfortable, the view was superb. The receptionist was so helpful and friendly. We also loved the pool area and the bar there. The breakfast buffet was good.

We were aware that there might be multiple elevators, but is is definitely something to keep in mind if you are going to stay here. It is quite a maze with 2 or 3 elevators to get to your room, but they payoff is the beautiful view (picture below!) It would have been nice to have coffee in the room. This isn't about the hotel, but the area for walking was not great, only one restaurant we could find within walking distance.
