Very comfortable bed

Noisy fridge (all night) from next apartment right behind our bed. The staff tried to help but were unsuccessful.

The staff were outstanding- extremely helpful and friendly. The swimming pool was great - a good size. The apartment was wonderful - large, comfortable bed, good shower with jacuzzi type bath, kitchen area with four ring cooker and large fridge. A wonderful veranda with great view over the bay.

Breakfast was just a little disappointing. There was very limited options for a vegan and the cooked food was often tepid. It would have been helpful to have a sharp knife and a tin opener in the kitchen. These are small issues and did not have a particularly negative effect on our stay.

We liked basically all about this place! We had an apartment with a terrace and a jacuzzi, with a beautiful sea view. Room was spacious, very well designed, quiet and equipped with very comfortable bed. Staff was helpful and very nice. Hotel is located approx. 10mins walk from the old town, in rather quiet neighborhood. Breakfast food quality and selection was also very good! Highly recommend!

We had the suite with 2 bedrooms and living room on the 8th floor. Fantastic terrace with a great view. All rooms have access to the terrace so no need to go through other rooms. Staff was very nice, breakfast was great. Pool was good. Will for sure come back here.

The best part for sure was our room with jacuzzi in it and the view. Also the pool was great and the all the staff was helpful and really nice. We enjoyed it and we recommend it if you are looking for a nice hotel with a spa, pool, good food and excellent location 10/10

The only thing that was frustrating was the coffee machine in the room that wasn’t working but it’s OK we went in the bar and had one delivered to the room.

I really like the staff the were very friendly and did anything that was asked of them. The balcony was amazing with a lovely sea view. The pool bar was exceptional and i really like the pool table

The pool was a little on small side. There was limited choice at breakfast. The chairs in rooms were not very comfortable

Excellent choice at breakfast. Hot dishes, fresh fruit, local preserves and honey. Dishes regularly replenished. Beautiful views from our 8th floor room of the coast and the old town.

Location was a little far from the old town, but taxis were plentiful and the staff at reception were always happy to call one.

Perfect views of the Mediterranean. Friendly and courteous staff. Great breakfast. Very nice pool and bar. The Suites are comfortable.

The chairs need felt tips on the bottom, otherwise they are too noisy and disturbing.

Everything was great!! The room, pool, restaurants, and the staff were amazing. We enjoyed our time at Macaris and wer were sad to leave.

Honestly, there wasn't anything that we didn't like. The only thing that I would change would be, to let the staff wear shorts. It is too hot to be working in pants.

Small & cozy hotel with big & modern suites and terrace facing the ocean. Very Clean. Superfriendly and and professional staff (extra thanks to Ioanna, Maria, Giorgios who took care of us during our stay). Small-scale but great pool area. Exactly the same with breakfast, small-scale but very good quality with mix of local and international varieties. We preferred that the hotel was located on walking distance from Rethymno city centre requiring us to take a scenic walk through the fantastic old town to get to the big beach.
