We actually stayed at the Maroon Bottle Boutique Hotel. They said it was an upgrade to a King Suite. the room was very nice and the breakfast was very good.

There was construction and lots of traffic and street parking congestion made it impossible to drop off luggage. The street was closed on leaving so picking up luggage from the front of the hotel would have been difficult. had it not been for the construction we may have had a different experience in this regard. The room we had, indicated it would be good for 4 people however you would want to be very close with those people as the shower is see through from both living areas. We were a couple so it didn’t bother us.

The staff was suuuper nice, always worried about your well-being and put a huge effort in helping you with every issue or question immediately. The room was quite nice, very modern and with a cute design. The climatization worked very well and was easy to handle, which is a useful aspect in Greek summer. A detail I personally really liked was the good smelling ecological soap and shower gel in the room. :D The hotel is well located for exploring Thessaloniki and for traveling by bus or train. The breakfast concept of a mixture of buffet and being served was a nice alternative and worth an experience.

A central light in the middle of the room would have been more useful than the many passive lights at exposed places of the room.

The staff at the reception is absolutely amazing: really helpful, nice, chatty and lovely women. The location is convenient to many places of interest to visit and also close to the seashore. The coffee is really tasty at the breakfast and so is the fresh orange juice.

The mattress of the bed is an old one so if you have a sensitive back or back problems, it is quite a killer. The room had almost no natural light due to the window being towards a dark inner courtyard. The internet connection is very unstable and so it is the mobile coverage. Unfortunately the breakfast barely has any veggies (only cucumbers & tomatoes) which are not always quite fresh and the food options are very limited so it’s not necessarily a good deal to pay for it.

We got a bit more spacious room than we had booked, with an extra "antichambre". It was very comfortable. The hotel is located very close to Ladadika. The staff was very helpful and gave as, for instance, hints for very good restaurants. We liked having access to Netflix. Airco was very efficient and quiet. The room was equipped with a fridge and an electric kettle.

The bathroom was not separated from the bedroom by any door. It was also not very well lit. WC was very smal and with a door, which was difficult to close when you were standing inside. The room's windows looked out at the inner yard. An advantage was the protection form the street noise; a disadvantage was the reduction of the amount of light getting into the room. The breakfast was a la carte, choosing from a fixed and a somewhat limited number of options (for a short stay this was OK). To indicate the choice, we had to fill in a form, which was not obvious at the first time.

Blue Bottle management offered to upgrade me to their newer sister hotel, called Maroon Bottles, and I accepted. I liked everything at Maroon Bottles. The room was spacious, clean, nicely decorated and quiet. I particularly appreciated that the hotel uses refillable containers for toiletries, instead of monodose portions. Breakfast was good and varied. Communication with hotel staff was very smooth and efficient before, during and after my stay. The area is quiet and there are many cafes and restaurants close the hotel. I definitely recommend staying here

It is a hotel where we decided to go to Greece for a holiday with my wife and made a reservation after seeing the reviews on booking.com and stayed for 2 nights. In this hotel, where we had to go earlier than the check-in time as a result of a change in our bus, everything has been thought for the guests. They hosted us in their cafe and helped us. The hotel is quite central, the rooms are clean. Breakfast was nice. Ms. Rose who took care of us was very friendly and helpful. We loved it very much and if we go to Thessaloniki again, this will be the first place we will stay.

Very good hotel with its own conceptual design across common space and rooms. We stayed twice there on our way to Corfu island and back and room in the second time was much better as it had balcony and big windows looking to the street. Room was clean, bright and enough big for 1 night stay. Hotel located conveniently close to city center. ~10min waling and you are on the main central street. Convenient parking nearby for 14 eur/night

Approach for breakfast I personally do not find convenient when I do not see food which I choose and need fill in the form first. The rest was good.

I liked everything. The location is great. You are close to everything, yet in a quiet street. The rooms were spacious and super clean. The bed is extremely comfortable. The breakfast is tasty and after a week there I still have not managed to try everything. The staff is wonderful and very helpful. The only reason for not staying there again would be that they are fully booked on my next planned visit. Blue bottle thanks for a great stay!

There is nothing not to like :)

- the location was great, in a small street but close to everything - the staff was very welcoming and gave us a lot of great recommendations for place to eat. - the hotel has a cool and modern vibe as much in the communal spaces as in the rooms. It was always nice coming back to the hotel after a day out. - great breakfast - the room were comfortable (amazing bed), with a good size and we had a cute balcony

- We knew about it, so we were not surprised, but guests should be aware that there is no proper bathroom (at least in our room), the toilets is separated by a translucent door and the shower is in a cubicle in the room with a pretty much see-through glass facing the bed. There isn’t much privacy which can be awkward according to who you’re travelling with. - the room could use more hangers for the towels.

We were actually offered to swap to the Maroon Hotel, which looked like newly renowated. It was clean and modern. The hotel is in a very old building making the place feel quirky and interesting. Great location, central.

Breakfast was a bit poor, you order a few set choices from the menu card and portions are small and were not presented well, bread we ordered was just a few pieces thrown on a plate together and 3 small pieces of omlette made in a cake tin for 2 people. Could be improved.
