I had a lovely stay. The location was nice and I felt safe. The room was on the first floor as I had requested. There also were 2 lifts. There was a balcony with table and chairs to sit outside the room. Check in was very efficient - there were 2 small complimentary drinking water bottles in the room on the first day (only). The room was very clean upon arrival and well cleaned every day, the linen white, and the bed mattress good. I slept very well. The towels were changed every day. Shampoo was regularly refilled. The shower was strong - with warm water. The air conditioner functioned well and quietly. A TV and fridge were in the room (the TV was initially plugged out but then functioned well - there was BBC World Service). The Greek breakfast was excellent and very well organized although guests tended to come at the same time. There were very kind staff at the reception, ready to competently answer questions.

There was no water heater in the room and no cups for drinking tea or coffee. Having that would have made it even nicer. My room (105) was located right opposite the cleaning staff's room. So it was quite loud in the afternoon when I returned at about 3 or 4pm as they talked. From about 5 p.m. onwards it was very quiet again as they left.

There is only liquid soap and shampoo in the bathroom. There is nothing else. The air conditioner does not work when we are not in the room and it is very hot when we come back in the evening. It is mounted above our heads and when we are inside it blows on our heads. Not good.

Nice location about 10 minutes walk downhill to the seafront to the old port where you can easily get a boat to a couple of beaches. Easy walking distance to many of the local historical sites, shops and restaurants. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Room was lovely with a view of an excavation site with a few resident cats. Aircon very efficient. Good selection of hot and cold food for breakfast which should satisfy pretty well everyone. All in all a very pleasant stay and I would definitely return if I come back to Thessaloniki

Everybody was willing to assist with everything we needed, they even extended our check out for 1 extra hour when we asked them to. We were really pleased with the kindness and enthusiasm of the reception and breakfast stuff, they made us feel very welcome. I also liked that everything was really clean, not only our room but the halls and common areas too. The location is excellent.

I am vegan, I didn't mention it because usually hotels provide at least 1-2 vegan options for breakfast, however they were no vegan foods, so my breakfast options were tomato, cucumber, olives and bread. They did provide soy milk for my coffee though and I appreciate that. Another thing i didn't really like was that the bathroom was quite small and a bit uncomfortable, the shower glass partition covers less than half of the shower area, so every time we had a shower the whole bathroom floor was flooding. Also there was no space next to the sink or any cabinet to keep our bath stuff.

With solving technical issues( elevator got stuck),they could act quicker Being without water for a day was a great impact,I don't blame the receptionists, they enabled us to change the room at the end of the day, but we were disappointed in the management.Not being able to use the toilet was terrible since my husband has a medical issue. What I would expect from the management of the hotel is to act more resolute upon the matter and at least offer a compensation to the guests that suffered from the problem

Central location but upper-floor room relatively quiet. Small balcony comfortable ,too. Hot and cold dishes with wide choices for breakfast in a bright room. Cleanliness impeccable throughout Limited capacity elevators sometimes busy but no long waiting involved. Friendly staff helpful, too. Both taxi and bus options within metres of entrance, as are shops and a variety of restaurants Good value overall.

A book-exchange would have been welcome - probably available for future guests ? Car parking at entrance limited to a single vehicle and guest parking off-site but not far.

Everything went well. Check in was seamless event though we arrived late at night. The room was spacious and spotless. The bathroom was excellent. The view from the balcony was over some ancient artifacts so that was special. The breakfast was great. The aircon in the room was great - really fast. And in the rest of the building the aircon was fantastic. Wifi was good and fast. Location was very central just 15 mins stroll from port and about 5 mons from shopping area, bars and restaurants area. Although there were bars and restaurants closer. Taxi rank across the road from hotel to take us to the airport the next morning.

great hotel close to the downtown of Thessaloniki. we had beautiful comfortable room with big balcony. breakfast was great and staff was very friendly and helpful. parking was quite easy, the hotel does not have its own parking, but they have a deal with a garage about 200m from the hotel for 13€ per night. we can recommend this hotel.

be aware, that you have to leave a car keys in the parking garage so they can move the car, this could be a problem for some people.

• From what I have read and researched about Thessaloniki, this hotel exceeded my expectations, and made my trip easier. Hence, the high grade. • The location was nice, and in close proximity to a small supermarket (Discount market). • Since I was mostly traveling, in the morning to various locations (i.e. Meteora, Pozar, Chalkidiki, Mt. Athos), a 10 min walk to Egnatia 78 was also an added bonus. • Soundproofing. It was fairly quiet at night, especially if one would close the balcony door. Although, noisy neighbors are always a hindrance, especially if they bring dogs or children. However, not much can be done in that department. • The room was fairly clean, cleaner than most 3 star hotels I've stayed in. • To my amazement not many Greek people could speak or understand English, or any other language for that matter, so for the hotel staff to know English that was a pleasant relief. It goes without saying that they were also friendly and helpful. • Overall the stay was around a 7.5 out of 10, but that's just me. Judging only by location, comfort, value for money, cleanliness, facilities, staff, it has definitely gained high grades all around. • P.S.: It has a piano and a small room, where you can store your luggage if you are early and your room is not ready, that room can be called a conference hall, however some would disagree. So overall, it's not ideal for a business trip.

• Indeed like many others complain, the breakfast could be improved. However, it's a 3-star hotel, what did you expect? • Hotels/people should stop writing SOUNDPROOFING since they clearly do not grasp the full meaning of this word. In my experience none of the Hotels had/have soundproofing. Now, if you were to sleep in a recording studio, than maybe that would count.
