Dean's Home Budapest

The staff at reception is extremely friendly and helpful. The room was in new condition, everything was great. The hotel is actually a student dormitory, but new and modern, with helpful facilities. There's a metro/bus stop 2 minutes away.

The litteral only thing not ok, with our room at least, that there isn't actually a door for the bathroom, more of a sliding door, but there's 1-2 cm between the wall and door, so keep that in mind if you're a loud pooper and your mate minds :D

The staff was great and spoke English very well. We had a couple of mechanical issues and the man who came to fix them was super super nice. Our air conditioner worked great which we needed. Just be prepared it is a student residential area too so your surrounded by students however everyone is very friendly. You can’t beat the price and value. The location is very easily walkable to more central downtown or public transport, which is one of the best in Budapest.

The students could be loud especially if the windows are open however the soundproofing helps tremendously.

The worker at the bar was not nice, I wanted to sit and read a book ( was 100% empty ) and the worker told me if im not ordering now I need to leave. Bad vibe. Of course I would order something later on.

it was great, the bed was very comfortable, good location with great transport links and gym facilities. lots of things you can use in the room e.g microwave and hob. good air con, near a spar shop too. shower worked well, seemed very clean and modern. we didn't check out the breakfast but there were lots of places to sit and a nice roof terrace. value for money was great too.

when we first arrived there was a huge group of people trying to check in and hanging around the desk and we weren't acknowledged even when I asked a woman if we were in the right place, until we asked again later if we could be checked in then a helpful young man did check us in so worked out fine in the end. also the room wasn't cleaned while we were there, beds weren't made which we thought was a bit strange and unlike other hotels. also it is a bit far from the centre but the transport is good so that helps. these didn't affect our stay though- only minor complaints!

Our room (Superior Queen Room) was spacious and big. Had a small kitchen inside that consisted of an electric stove, a microwave, a medium-size fridge, and all utensils needed to cook. The Wi-Fi connection is good. The location of the hotel is great, next to it there is a supermarket and a metro station a few blocks away. Unfortunately, the metro station is currently under repair and it is not operating. Nonetheless, there are substitute buses.

During our stay, the fire alarm was activated 2 times. One time at 5:30 AM and the sound was horrible and loud. Nobody informed us if it was truly an emergency of what had happened until the afternoon when it was activated for the second time. The staff told us someone was cooking, therefore, it was activated.

It is a very convenient location for work travel on the Pest side. It is located at a very short walk from the subway station. Very easy check-in and friendly staff. The room includes a small kitchen and a desk if you are planning to do some work/studying in your room. Includes a gym and a lot of difference services onsite.

Breakfast is a bit limited if you are not into gluten. There are limited options otherwise. Artificial juice options. The Breakfast room is a bit small and some days it was difficult to find a table available. Although the facilities are very well equipped, one may miss some traditional hotel details (such as shampoo and soap in the toilet and some tea in the room). A kettle and hairdryer were available, but only if you go downstairs to the reception to get them.

It has a lot of amenities that surprised me - a gym with a good equipment, even a bench press (better than most Marriott’s I’ve stayed in), laundry facilities, and a great roof top. Honestly, I was expecting more of a guest house or hostel, but this place seems more like a chain hotel. The room had a little kitchen, and the bathroom was really good. The staff was nice enough to allow me to leave my bag in their office while I explored Budapest, since I arrived before check in. Location is right by a metro station, making it convenient to get to other parts of Budapest. Breakfast was solid, though it could get crowded.

The space/facilities for breakfast was not large enough to accommodate the large occupancy of the hotel, so it would be a bit chaotic at times (long lines for coffee). Nothing else!

Dean's Home is around 3-4 minutes away from the train station. Penny (supermarket) & a convenient store are just below the building. Breakfast is available, which is also not that bad for it's price. Few restaurants around & money changers. The room we booked is spacious, loft-type, good for 4 people (though we're only 2). We'll definitely stay here again if we come back to Budapest! ❤️

We requested in advance for room slippers, unfortunately they couldn't provide it. Just bring or buy your own. 🤪

Very clean and fun, room was spacious. Staff was very helpful and friendly, also 24 hour front desk which is great for those coming and going. Laundry available to do on sight, which was a little pricey but expected for hotel laundry. I was surprised my room had a kitchenette which was great for my trip, I could store and reheat leftovers easily. It even came with dishes and cups! Bathroom was a good size, had fantastic storage throughout the unit, I could have easily lived there lol. My room consisted of two twin beds, a desk, barstool, mini fridge, island with storage and countertop to eat at with a barstool, kitchenette with sink and stovetop, full bathroom, and two large closets. The linens were amazing I almost had to take home a pillow I wish I was able to find the manufacturer because I never slept better. The large window had layered curtains and easy to use blinds for darkening or brightening the room. I’m not paid for my review or to say anything I just love this place so much and it deserves a 5 star rating!

The fact that I had to leave lol! I really have no complaints at all. I wish it cost slightly less so I could just live there forever haha!

I've chosen this place for its 24 h reception, since my flight arrived in the middle of the night. Good location, friendly staff, nice and tidy place in a new building, easy to find.
