Very comfortable room and bathroom. Really good choice at breakfast, although some of the hot buffet items were lukewarm (eggs, baked beans). Good to have a coffee machine, but see my other comment. In a nice quite location with transport links close by. Very helpful reception staff.

Having to pay HUF 500 for each coffee pod provided - I've never been charged for pods in any other hotel that provides a machine.

Location. Right next to the metro station, close to the city center and Heroes' Square. The hotel is small but chic. Good breakfast.

Even though the room was clean, the towels were old and musty. Cleaning was only done upon request, including shower gel, hand soap, and toilet paper.

Ive stayed several times in this hotel, it has a good standard. This time I had a regular room and this one is not really exciting, it looks like the furniture, in this case the desks where you can work and where the TV is were randomly put together and it doesn't fit somehow the room. Last time I got a room which was just amazing, and this time as said it was a bit disappointing and I wonder on the value. Overall, the breakfast was great as usual, the staff is great and helpful, parking just in front of the building, and the floors, reception etc are very nice interior architecture, well done.

Room categories are quite different and the standard rooms are quite basic, while the better rooms are just great and worth the premium.

I normally stay in the nearby hotel Benczúr which was full this time, however. I chose this accomodation because of the promotion price, otherwise it would a bit expensive for me. Stayed in the third floor, windows to the courtyard. Silent in the night, you can only hear traffic from Andrassy street if you leave the window open. The heating works through A/C and there is a control panel on the wall which allowed me to adjust temperature according to my liking. Fast wifi, hot water anytime, room service only on demand (which is fine by me). Really good breakfast - plenty of choices and with hungarian products, too. Friendly personel. You can order a taxi to the airport in the reception and pay for it there in advance. The hotel is 5min from Bajza utca metro station, so you can get anywhere you need quick.

The ceiling fan in the shower was permanently on and it was not possible to turn it off, it was quite loud annoying sound. Closing the bathroom door would solve this problem, though. The table was really small for working on laptop.

Reception staff auper helpful with local knowledge, also helped with a taxi driver problem I created. Location is fabulous, 200m from underground railway into the heart of Budapest, 10 minute walk to Szchenyi Baths and four wonderful museums and art galleries, and a park. The surrounding streets are full of beautiful mansions with wonderful art nouveau features. Room was a good size, bathroom excellent. I ate breakfast most days, delicious offerings for all tastes, Eastern Eoropean and Western European fare. I also ate a late dinner on arrival at about 9.30pm. Small but good menu. They also arranged taxis for me. Wonderful staff.

I wonder if the wardrobes could cater for the length of women's dresses, this was a minor problem in Berlin and Paris too.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at the hotel. The room was not only pleasing, but I'm also especially grateful for the upgrade, which made the room spacious and beautifully appointed. The rooms are generously sized, offering plenty of space, and the fireplace in the lounge creates a particularly pleasant atmosphere. The breakfast deserves special praise, with a wide variety to suit every taste, including options for healthy eating and indulgent treats like fried sausages. The hotel staff is exceptionally courteous, and interactions with them were delightful. I found the hotel's location to be perfect. They arranged a transfer from the airport upon my request, which was particularly convenient as my flight was delayed, and I arrived late at night. It was reassuring to have the driver waiting for me. I definetly recommend this hotel.

Toilet brush not clean Fabric of large towels too thin. The way the bed was made was impractical: top sheet would only get to cover the lower half of my body. Bottom sheet would come off every time I moved in the bed because it was not fixed at the side of the head. I had to re-do the bed all the four nights I was there Breakfast: it is pointless and irritating to have two machines for hot drinks both making awful cappuccino and then give the customer the option of a cappuccino made by the barman at and extra and unreasonable cost. Just have the barman prepare the cappuccino or any other hot drink. The capacity of the breakfast room easily allow an average barman to do a decent job Overall they could just pay more attention to details which could easily justify the price

We've stayed at the Mamaison previously and will stay again in the future god willing. The location is excellent, the room lovely, the bed comfy and the staff very good.

Breakfast was an issue on 2 of the 3 days, as the cooked food stored in the buffet style containers was luke warm at best. There was a lot of choice, fruit, cereal, cold meats, cheese, pastries, rolls, coffee, tea, so much it's almost wrong to criticise but the food that was supposed to be hot wasn't. We mentioned it on day 2 and yet this morning when we went for an earlier breakfast, it wasn't hot or even luke warm. Our mark would have been a lot higher if the breakfast had been hot rather than tepid and really don't understand why our complaint seemed to be ignored. Hopefully the hotel will think this a fair review as everything else was very good, the cooked breakfast being cold once is bad, but two days running unacceptable and disappointing for a 4 star hotel

Superb location. 5 minutes' walk from Heroes square and city park with all the wonderful museums. 2 minutes' walk from the metro stop (yellow line). For me, the link cation was perfect....away from the noisy, crowded, and less clean stretch of Andrassy Avenue (e.g. Opera and Oktagon) but only a 15 minute walk on the beautiful boulevard to the busy parts of Andrassy Avenue and very easy for metro access to go to all the sights. Clean, spacious room. Hotel surrounded by the stunning buildings of this famous avenue. You can get single use public transport tickets at reception.

The seal on the windows in my room (with a balcony) needed to be a bit better to keep out all the traffic noise. The hotel is located in a very quiet area but slightly better window seals would have been perfect...but this only applies if you are very noise sensitive! No shops nearby....nearest at least 10 minutes' walk away...but this was to be expected as this was the embassy quarter which was beautiful, clean and serene.

Loved the location between Heroes Square (5 minutes walk) and the Basilica area (20 minutes walk) on Andrassy Street with also a 20 minutes walk to the danube. Surprisingly peaceful considering the location. Rooms are spacious and comfortable , we had a balcony which overlooked a side street, great to enjoy your morning coffee. The onsite brasserie restaurant and bar is very good.. All the staff were friendly, helpful and polite. On site parking at €17 per night is a little high but there are other options in the side roads. Will definitely stay again, next time in Budapest..

Not much to not like. It is a little pricey, there are cheaper options but you get what you pay for.
