Good hotel. Nice comfortable rooms, although bathrooms are a bit small, nice view on the river, good location, close to everything.

Coming from the Balkans, the attitude of the staff seems a bit strange. One day our room was not made, another time they left dirty cups and empty water bottles in the room. Service during breakfast was a bit slow. When asked about recommendations for dinner, the reception staff replies: "Go downtown, there are many restaurants there". Nothing major but I got the impression they do not really care much. However, it did not spoil our stay.

The hotel (that I know from my childhood) has been nicely renovated. The rooms are spacious and well equipped (I always appreciate a water cooker), the view on the river and on the town is amazing, the location is great (only half an hour walking distance from the city centre). The staff is very friendly and supportive. The breakfast choice is great. It is possible to eat lunch a la carte and order a buffet dinner (also on short notice) which has great variety of meaty and non-meaty dishes. And tastes very good. I will surely return. Because this place is perfect for a city stay.

My key card got demagnetised quite often. But the staff (reception 24 hours a day) solved my problem every time very quickly.

Room was comfortable and had enough space for 2 adults and 2 kids of 10y. Breakfast was great, but you are advised to get on breakfast before 8:30 because it could get crowded around 9h if there's lot of guests in the hotel and sometimes people were waiting to get a table. Bed was a bit on a hard side, I prefer that better than a soft one. There was a water heater in the room and few coffee and tea bags which was nice and practical for afternoon tests in the room.

There wasn't enough parking places in front of the hotel on some occasions, but we always managed to find parking in nearby street so it wasn't much of a problem (price is same). We agreed with hotel stuff to not change us hotel parking on the days when we parked outside.

As we regularly visit Szeged we always use Novotel as it combines in one the quality of room and beds with very good breakfast and a central location from which the lively pedestrain zone is just 5 minutes walk through the river park away. The absolutely amazing is that my doughter lost her bracelet in the room and we realized it hours later. A simple call to the hotel was enough and we got an email later that it was found and we can get it by our next visit in two weeks. We got it back. Absolutely amazing a brilliant staff!!!

The room was quite very comfy, not large, but the size was just good enough, nice view towards the Tisa river. It was very clean and by the looks of it the hotel must've been renovated within the last 2-3 years because all looked very well and modern. The room also had a balcony with a view to Tisa river so a nice place to have a morning coffee. The bed was excellent, very comfortable and with really nice pillows. We liked it very much.

The bathroom could use and extraction fan and the large balcony window could definetely need replacing as during the night given that outside was sub zero C the whole window in the morning was covered in droplets of water(condensation due to poor insulation) plus you could feel it was very cold near the window.

The parking seems not enough for such a big hotel. Also, the secured places behind a barrier are also just a few, and if you are not lucky, you need to park on the side of the hotel. You have to pay for the parking, too. The price for it on Booking.com is 8 euro per night. The price on the signs in the parking says 3 000 Hungarian forints. And we were taxed by the hotel 4 000 Hungarian forints... This definitely needs some attention!

The breakfast is very good. Clean, quiet room. Everything you need for one night. Parking opposite the entrance. And a good location for walking around the city.

When booking, I ordered a room with a river view, BUT it turned out that the view was on the roofs of neighboring houses and the road ((. In addition, there were several minor flaws in the room (a non-burning light bulb, a dangling shower head ...), they are not critical, but not pleasant! I am writing this not to criticize, but as an advice to the staff - it is better to look after the rooms!

It's a dog-friendly hotel, which, for us, was vital. It's clean, located on the river, with nice views, and also quite clean. The hotel is also maybe not brand-new, but modern and well looked after.

The beds were not super comfy, and the bedding, especially pillows + duvets, were lumpy. Breakfast was somewhat limited. On the bright side, dogs were allowed and present everywhere :)

The hotel is very comfortable, the double room is spacious and well equipped. The staff are quite pleasant. Breakfast was nice, available for long strech of time. The location is excellent, very close to all attractions, we walked or used rental scooters for most locations. Paid parking is available at hotel, though we used public parking at street as we visited over weekend.

The only remark was that the lobby bar had limited working hours in the evening.

The hotel was good. The staff at the restaurant was really nice and the food was excellent.

I waited at the border from Serbia for nine hours and only checked in early in the morning. They did check-in took really long and they did not even offer alternatives to let me stay longer, even for a fee. The check-out also took some time.
