Nice view and location The view from the room was a square view and the church tower was also visible, which was great. It was a room with a terrace, so I enjoyed coffee on the terrace every morning. Since there is a large refrigerator, you can store a lot of things you bought at stores such as supermarkets. There is a Nespresso machine in the room, so you can buy bread from the nearby bakery every morning and enjoy breakfast in your room.

No complaints about the accommodation. When making a reservation for a sightseeing tour, the nearest bus stop will be either #1 city hall or #3 in front of Hard Rock Cafe in downtown, which can be confusing, so it is recommended to make a note of it or check with the tour company when making a reservation.

As I booked so far in advance I got an upgrade which was like a present as I was there for my birthday! Staff were friendly and helpful, it was a short walk from most of Reykjavik’s attractions, the room was spacious and comfortable, and the view from the balcony was great; I even caught a glimpse of the aurora borealis! With the door open I could hear the music from the Irish pub across the street, but with the door closed there was very little noise from outside.

The water smelled a little sulphurous but seeing as Iceland is a volcanic island, that wasn’t a surprise. The curtains were difficult to close properly and didn’t block out all light which I imagine is a problem in summer when the sun doesn’t really set.

The position of the hotel is really in the center of Reykjavik, but it is not difficult to find a park very close. The staff is very helpful and gave us a free upgrade. The room was really big and with a very comfortable bed.

I'm sorry that is not possible to have breakfast in the hotel.

Breakfast not included, but downtown and many Cafe's available. Downtown and walkable, close to restaurants. Parking difficult and had to park pretty far away but it was ok. Rooms were very big, with large bathroom, limited towels & I found the lighting to be really dim. Our room had a couch and nice space to hang clothes and place our luggage.

Lack of parking but downtown Reykjavik streets are tiny and we kind of expected that but once you are there you quickly realize how busy an area it is. Lack of lighting in room and dark colours but it would not stop me from booking there again because the bigger rooms were a nice change from what we had been staying in.

Adorable and sheak city center hotel with lots of edgy style. Staff was amazing and accommodating at all hours. Room was very large for a European hotel and quite despite it being in an area with lots of bars and restaurants open to later hours literally all around the property. Loved this place and would stay again.

Parking in the city is really hard to find. I did get a spot the second night right down the street which was very convenient for departing the hotel and heading to the airport. If you rent a car just know that street parking is challenging at all hours especially at night and they have few parking garages. Not the hotel's fault at all but a quirk about traveling to this city.

Location in the middle of the city and walking distance from the harbour where our cruise ship docked was brilliant. Front desk personnel were also full of information about their country, culture, history and general information. It was a real pleasure to talk to them about Iceland and find out so much about this fascinating land and its past.

We stayed in July when the nights were short and warm. Consequently we needed to have the window open. Unfortunately the bar opposite the hotel was very noisy and this made sleep difficult.

Loved the location and the funky decor! Beautiful rooms, nicely appointed. Clean and spacious; modern and chic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Happened to stay on a Sunday and holiday Monday, so parking was not an issue. We were lucky to find parking right outside the hotel.

The hotel is located in the city center and in the midst of many bars, nightclubs. Had read some reviews that others were bothered by the noise as the bar next door played very loud music until the wee hours of the morning (4AM). We had 4 rooms total and only 1 of us heard the noise and were bothered by it. When staying, request a room on the other side of the hotel if the noise would bother you. Hotel provided eye masks and ear plugs for us.

The location of this hotel could not be better. It is in the heart of the city whilst still being in a quiet area. The beds were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was superb with a great amount of room. We were unexpectedly upgraded which was a lovely surprise A very modern hotel.

It would have been very useful if breakfast was available, but sadly it wasn't. There is a good supermarket a 2 minute walk away which was great though!

The location was ideal being right in downtown Reykjavik and close to Bus Stop #1 and #3 making it extra convenient to catch vans/ busses for excursions and to the airport. The bed was incredibly comfortable; the room was clean, bathroom good-sized and warm, there was a mid-sized refrigerator and a capsule coffee machine. The staff was friendly and offered up suggestions where to eat, how to book a bus and always answered questions promptly before we even arrived at the hotel- so all and all excellent service! Would highly recommend staying here-

The property was wonderful yet did not have a dining area for small meals and/or breakfast. There is a small grocery store located diagonally from the property which had needed items.

Excellent location--as the name says, City Center Hotel. Very friendly and helpful staff. Basic, but clean and comfortable.

Pity there was no breakfast room, although there was a good 24-hour supermarket two minutes' walk away. Light sleepers might not appreciate the central location because Reykjavik city centre tends to party into the early hours. However, the hotel does provide a sleeping set (face mask for light summer nights and ear plugs).
