A treasure indeed! The host was very welcoming, and one of our favorite aspects of the stay was having a nice breakfast in a beautiful kitchen and chatting with a mix of international travelers and the host. Loved the design and decor in the house. The location is also great and an easy walk to most places we wanted to go. The host provides clear, good info about check in, parking, etc. Wonderful stay!

The room was pretty small, although very well designed, which to me matters more. I didn't mind the size, but taller people might note that you can easily bump your head on the ceiling of the bathrooms on the third floor.

This is an amazing place to stay in the centre of Reykjavík. The rooms are cozy and comfortable and there are shared kitchen facilities available to guests. A wonderful Icelandic breakfast is served to guests each morning around a communal table. The host, Steinunn, is wonderful and gives helpful travel tips and suggestions to guests. This is a wonderful option for travels who want a truly “Icelandic” experience in a convenient location in the centre of Reykjavík. We will be back.

Due to the old and quaint nature of the house, the floorboards on the first floor are creaky and may disturb light sleepers in the ground floor. If you are a light sleeper, request a room on the first floor.

The breakfast here was fantastic and tasty with home made breads etc.. and it was just so cosy to sit in the sitting room and plan the day and read our books. Everything is beautifully presented. A very welcoming place to come back to after a day out hiking. And it is so centrally located, you are near everything in the town. Its like a home away from home, only better

The beds were a bit soft, as I like a hard mattress, but then everyone is different in this regard. The room was in the attic so low ceilings so perhaps not that suitable for very tall people!

Everything! We had to change our accommodation due to sudden road closures to the east due to bad weather, and desperately called Reykjavik Treasure B&B, where we were supposed to stay later the week. They accommodated us and our stay was fantastic! One of the oldest but very beautifully preserved houses in Reykjavik. The most amazing breakfast and hostess who answered our gazillion questions and helped us to plan a new itinerary due to the road closures. Very centrally located. We could highly recommend this place and loved staying here. Thanks again for everything!

Nothing. It was all fantastic.

Steinunn is a great host, very welcoming and does a great breakfast. She gave us ideas of the best things to do during our stay and also arranged for a taxi to take us to the airport at 4am on our last day. Unfortunately the weather dictacted that we had to stay at Keflavik for another two days after leaving here. If we had known that ahead we would have stayed here if at all possible. Close to the centre where you will find great fish and chips and a restaurant that serves the BEST lobster soup! and many other food & non-food delights to enjoy in Reykjavik. Free toiletries in the bathroom, even a washing machine that we did not need to use. Microwave, fridge, TV with cable and perfect wifi. The weather during our trip was brutal but the heating in the room was exceptional.

All good.

The location is amazing! The room is unique but homey and cozy. Loved having the door code in advance so that we could just go to our room and not go through a check in process.

I wish there were individual tables, rather than one big one for breakfast. The idea is that it is a family style breakfast, but my husband and I do not like to socialize with strangers in the mornings so that made the breakfast experience a little awkward. This is just personal preference though and I am sure a lot of people would love that set up.

Steinunn is such a great host! She gave us some amazing tips and because of that we had the most incredible days in Iceland. The B&B is really a home away from home. The room was amazing, so cute and comfy with a really nice bath to relax in every day. The breakfast was really good and healthy. Very near to the beautiful Reykjavik Centre (one minute walk) but no noise from the town in the B&B. Absolutely everything was amazing. My boyfriend and I are used to travelling around the world, but Iceland and this B&B is unlike anything we have ever seen. Thank you so much Steinunn, we will definitely come back!

That we only booked for three nights. We could have stayed here forever.

Steinunn is an amazing host! She makes everything so easy from check-in to check-out. The B&B is situated in a beautiful historic building and the rooms are lovely, clean, cosy and warm. The location of the B&B is perfect for exploring all parts of Reykjavík easily by foot. The breakfast is a real highlight of the stay, Steinunn provides a spread of sweet and savoury local food including home baked bread. She shared lots of great local recommendations too from places to eat to things to do in the area. You could not ask for a better host and I would definitely stay again!

We loved everything!

love this property, so far the best stay-home-away from home facility location- right in the middle of downtown, close to everything. located on the small street - very quiet facility - well maintained, modern washrooms, heated floors, extremely clean breakfast - fresh bread, cold cuts of meat and cheese, berries, yogurt, great coffee :) rooms are cleaned up daily and so towels are changed

hostess of the property brining excellent and unique vibe to the business. intelligent, friendly and highly professional. Steinunn - it was such a pleasure meeting you!

The daily breakfast and getting to sit with other travelers was a great experience! The food was homemade and wonderful, the room was cozy and comfortable and the location was VERY close to the downtown area and perfect for sight seeing!

We had some difficulty finding our room (room 101) as the entrance wasn't located in the main house but behind a gate with no sign. We searched the main house a few times before finding the separate entrance.
