The common area space was large and luxurious. We didn’t see any other guests so it was like we had the whole place to ourselves! The location was perfect. It only took a minute or two to walk to Bus stop 6/culture house, which made it so easy for all our excursions. We took a bus a total of 8 times! There was a great bakery a short walk away that I went to every day. Lots of great restaurants and shops super close. Despite having the common space, I always felt very safe because our actual room locked also. I loved that there was laundry and a large balcony too. I sent a special request to see if I could check in early and they said yes, which was very nice. There was a nespresso machine which the host provided pods for, and it was delicious. If I ever go to Iceland again I am definitely staying here at B14 Guesthouse!!!

The only thing I didn’t like was that there was no closet or any drawers in the bedroom, so we had to keep everything in our suitcases. But as long as you are ok with that, then this place is PERFECT. FYI this is in a fun part of Reykjavík, so you might hear a little music from the bars & clubs on the weekends.

The location is great, right in the heart of Reykjavik at the end of Rainbow St. We stayed in the pent house, the balcony is really nice, has an awesome view of the city as well as ocean/mountains. There is a nice espresso maker with the coffee provided, kitchen is well stocked and clean. The beds were comfortable and there were lots of pillows, which wasn't the case at the other ab&b we stayed. It was easy to contact the host with questions and the staff was very nice - they helped us carry our luggage up the stairs.

There is no elevator which isn't a huge deal but we had big heavy suitcases to carry up and down them so that wasn't great. The code we were given was wrong but they sent someone to resolve the issue and help us in right away. We left snacks out in the kitchen on the counter, cleaning took them probably thinking they were left, so I would recommend keeping your (non refrigerated) food in the room if applicable.

As a seasoned traveller, I stumbled upon this gem after a disappointing experience at a neighbouring hotel. What a pleasant relief it was! This place truly lived up to its 5-star status. Immaculately clean, the apartment boasted multiple rooms with private bathrooms, offering a perfect blend of privacy and community spaces. Nestled in the heart of the town, the location couldn't be better. The thoughtful addition of a washing machine and dryer was also appreciated. If you're looking for a hassle-free, comfortable stay with all the essential amenities, this hotel should be at the top of your list. Highly recommended.

There is no staff present and all comms needs to be done via Booking... I had no issues, but I did wonder what would happen if there were issues. Also whilst my bedroom was great - the view did overlook the restaurant's large rubbish bins so I choose not to keep the curtains closed to block out the view.

* Great location - close to the centre of everything, and near to some great cheap-for-Iceland cafes and informal restaurants, and a good supermarket. * Great for a long stay - I was here for 12 days & appreciated the use of both my lockable private room, and the communal area. * Comfort and standard of rooms. Lots of thought in the details. * Communal sitting room and kitchen was VERY good: it meant we could cook meals, and get on with work outside our hotel room, with ease. Very well-equipped kitchen; ironing board & iron. *We also had interesting conversations with other guests. * Staff I interacted with - manager and person who supervised cleaning - were wonderful! Thank you so much. They transferred our luggage (and our groceries!) into a room when we had to move because I'd needed to make 2 room bookings. There are some grumpy reviews on this site, which made me a bit apprehensive. However, I'm happy to say that my expectations were exceeded. It's great value for Reykjavik, and easy & comfortable.

A couple of shelves in the bathroom for easier storage of toiletries. Maybe a chest of drawers for clothes storage - but I was here for 12 days and so needed to have a way of unpacking.

Perfect location for a first timer in Iceland as it is centrally located. You have everything within the neighborhood! Property was right in front of the famous rainbow street and very close to the famous church in Reykjavik. Property was very clean and modern. It has all the amenities.

I wish it has a lift rather than carrying my luggage 3 floors up which was very challenging for a solo traveller like me. There’s a distinct smell with the water, not sure what it was though

we really enjoyed the location and how clean it was. anything you might need can be found in the kitchen, we even managed to make some coffee! the bed is super comfy as well.

very very tiny room.. description stated 14m2 but it was maximum 10. we couldn't have our suitcase inside or even walk 2 people at the same time. bathroom had a weird smell and the walls are super thin, we could hear everything our neighbours were talking about. but to be honest these things aren't as important

Style, cleanliness, the view,outdoor deck all fabulous ! Had a great kitchen. Love the lighting. The dog was sweet and chill. People where friendly and helpful. Location is great and central.

Apartment was really nice and clean.

It supposed to be bathtub - that’s why i choose this apartment, bathtub was my priority and after i made booking i got information it will be just shower because they changed it. Also when i got this information i can’t cancel the booking because u will lose my money so this was big minus for me because it’s was saying this bathtub will be there and it wasn’t.

Absolutely Fantastic, was skeptical about not staying with a hotel, but it’s in the real heart of reykjavik, breakfast was simple to get even at 6am. The rooms were very modern and clean. Room was cleaned at request. This is honestly the best value for money you can get in Reykjavik

The facilities were great, it was very clean and felt like home. The staff were very friendly and helpful. It's very central.

The whole experience was perfect, only downfall was the noise from one of the bars until around 5am in the morning, I advise ear plugs.
