Room was larger than those in Norway and Finland. Easier to get around the bed and comparatively large shower.
The name of the hotel should be at ground level (easily visible to walkers) and note that the entrance is on the back side of the building. We were dropped off at station 15 and knew the hotel was close by, but had trouble finding it do to lack of signage. Asked multiple people where it was and, as they also were tourists, they couldn't help. Were standing at the north end of the building with the Marina sign 3 stories above when someone we asked knew that we were standing next to the building and directed us to the entrance.

locatiowise is perfect, as it’s next to bus stop #15 which is quite convenient for your pick up on tours and shuttles to the airport. it’s also close to the Reykjavik city center with plenty of food options on the way. the hotel has a bar which is great to have a few drinks before going to your room. the room itself it’s a reasonable size, comfortable bed and a big bathroom. the staff is also a plus as they are always happy to help, making everything easy
rooms are not soundproof, I could hear everyone outside on the corridor arriving and leaving their rooms.

The room was facing the Old Harbour and situated near some fabulous restaurants, as well as a short walk away from the center of Reykjavik. We had a great stay here - the hotel is very quirky and we appreciated the library and living spaces downstairs. It was easy to take the bus to and from the airport as well as to the Blue Lagoon.
We happened to be staying during the week of midnight sun. Having slightly thicker curtains to block out the light would have helped us to sleep more easily. I had to buy a sleep mask on the second day - I was exhausted from no sleep! But this midnight sun happens one week a year - so I understand why it’s not a priority! The hotel is also slightly pricey - the food particularly so.

Room very ‘bijou’ but loved the location and balcony. Needed instruction to work coffee machine and would have liked fresh milk but appreciated coffe coffee machine and ‘real’ coffee. Very few surfaces to place phone, book, glasses etc especially near bed. Loved quality soaps, etc in bathroom Did not have breakfast at hotel but reception ( very friendly and efficient) recommended Rost café opposite. Would have liked evening meal at hotel but very limited menu and insufficient space to eat because of popularity of bar, which helped vibrant atmosphere in hotel.
Better, more comprehensive restaurant menu.

Although the outside of the building looks a little bit outdated, the inside is very beautiful and modern. There is a parking lot (public) one minute away from the hotel, which is great for a rental car. Grocery shops are few minutes away by foot, while city centre is 5 minutes drive from the hotel. The rooms were perfect, there was a coffee machine and some complimentary coffee and tea. The toiletries in the bathroom were from crème de la crème and smelled amazing!
The drainage system in the bathroom could be better, as when you are in the shower, the water is not going down the drain fast and it accumulates under the toilet and the floor was all wet in the bathroom (there were actual puddles). We had to stop the water every minute, so that the surplus could go down.

Everything! The staff is super Friendly, the Hotel is Super Clean. The food and drinks at the restaurant were spot on. I enjoyed a perfectly made Old Fashion for happy hour. Dinner was their lamb plate, and it literally fell of the bone. The Calamari was alo delish. They gave me a 10% off card (laminated and no waste here as it is easy to clean and able to be handed back out) that I used for dinner. The bed was one of the most comfortable I have slept in. The windows could be opened, and I enjoyed the small balcony in my living room area. The best part was the bathroom!! Soaking tub and shower in one room, vanity and sink in the second room, and the 3rd room had a toilet and sink. Perfect if you have more than 2 guests staying. I was able to sync up my tablet for movies. They have a plethora of USB in wall chargers along with regular EU chargers next to the bed, sofa, and kitchen area. They also provided a sleeping mask (with beads in them.) 2 bottled waters were provided that you can keep refilling at the kitchen sink. There was also a mini fridge. The selection of teas and their coffee machine was set up beautifully and with real China cups and saucers. The experience in this Hotel was by far the Best I have stayed in while in Reykjavik.
Perfection!

The Room was fine. The hotel overall had lots of rooms to explore and I enjoyed very much. The library was great place to relax and read. The staff were very lovely and helpful. Particularly there was one staff member, female and worked each evening I was there ( 10 to 13th) who was lovely and very helpful sorting ride to airport and several other small but important things. I forget name but would like to personally thank her and say thank you to all staff while I was there.
That I had to leave. Also, couldn't get coffee maker in Room to work. Provide simple instructions as not everyone has used one before.

The location is spot on. We were very close to our boat trip, a stones throw from the city centre but didn't suffer from the hustle and bustle that those right in the centre did. We felt conveniently close to everything and were right on the doorstep of pick up point fifteen for outbound trips. The room was lovely, the shower and products in there were very nice and having the detachable section on the shower head was so useful. We had a bit of a battle with the TV at first but eventually got there. All of the staff we spoke to were wonderful, so polite and helpful. A paticular mention to a very tall gent with blonde hair who was very kind when we got locked out our room and the gentleman on check in, shorter gent with brown hair who did our check in. Also big plus for the room being ready early!!
The housekeepers were striking, which didn't bother us too much and honestly were quite happy to not have them in! But, our only gripe was the breakfast. The chefs were on strike also (beyond the hotels control we know) and we were a little disappointed but the first few days we were so impressed with the breakfast spread, for just cold food it was plentiful and it was gorgeous. The last couple days the breakfast turned into grab and go and we were pretty unimpressed, this was a sandwich, fruit, a yoghurt, a juice carton and a breakfast bar. Not quite the spread we'd expected. I think the cold buffet was a perfect comproimse under the circumstances, and the grab and go was disappointing. This was the only thing about our stay we weren't impressed with. Otherwise we loved it.

Great location right next to the bus stop for tours and a close walk to all attractions. Great atmosphere, welcoming staff, great bar and food at the restaurant. Room was clean, spacious enough and had everything you needed, we even got a little balcony looking over the harbour. Overall the perfect place to stay when you’re visiting Reykjavik.
Didn’t really like the bathroom - sorry! I went with my friend so shower time wasn’t ideal with the basically transparent situation. Don’t see this being an issue for families or couples though and it shouldn’t put you off cause it’s a great place to stay!
