No rules were followed in swimming pool. 22nd Oct 23 people from outside not resident were in the pool without swimming costumes,without shower and created so much noise.

Lovely gardens and beautiful sunset bar. Gardens are very well maintained by the wonderful ladies that work so hard to keep it clear of leaves. Very comfortable bed. Masses of potential for a top class resort to be created.

Restaurant ambience was lacking and repetitive piped music was irritating. Swimming pool was poorly kept with only 4 beds and no cushions. Making it extremely uncomfortable. No beds by the backwater in the sun, as seen on website. Room was in need of an update, and when we asked about paying for an upgrade we were told all rooms were occupied. This clearly wasn’t the case as rooms were still available on Booking.com and there were very few guests.

Lovely deluxe cottage overlooking lake. Very spacious with good air conditioning in both living room and bedroom. Comfy bed and pillows and TVs in both rooms. Bathroom also clean and well finished. Fridge in room as well safe. Food very good and breakfast was both European and Indian. Selection of a la carte or buffet evening meal. Had a sunset bar overlooking lake. Sold wine and beer. Ayurvedic spa which was great. Trips on Lake available (charge) and could fish or use pedalo for free. Peaceful location and gardens well maintained. Swimming pool was large and could swim in but needs better maintenance. Staff attentive, helpful and friendly. Helped arrange transfer to next destination (charge) that was cheaper than using on-line taxi firm. Hotel accepted international credit card.

Swimming pool needs better maintenance.

Staff were great, very welcoming and very pleasant to be around. Everything about this place was nice. Facilities were really good. We particularly enjoyed the free fishing.

If we ordered meat from the restaurant, it would come with bones and sometimes the bones would be shattered into tiny little shards which would be everywhere in the food which made it particularly difficult to enjoy. Aside from that the food was very tasty. Some of the sockets/light fittings were faulty in the room but some of it was just old. But don't let this deter you it really was paradise.

The vast property right next to the lake with a calm surrounding let you enjoy this beautiful resort. Housekeeping staff lady was very good she arranged the baloons for my kid knowing it’s her birthday and restaurant staff also managed to get us a birthday cake. Even the breakfast spread was very good with decent options.

The spa facility was a rip off and once the final amount comes you will realise after taxes and extras it’s way beyond the said price. A cycling option would have been ideal addition to roam around the property.

I spent a month in India, across several cities, staying in magnificent places, and Fragrant Nature Backwater Resort & Ayurveda Spa was undoubtedly the highlight of my trip! The location is nothing short of paradise, and the service is top-notch. I sadly sprained my ankle while exercising, but the staff were so compassionate and helpful - instead of the injury ruining my trip, they made it better than I hoped it could be. The spa is unbeatable - Dr Sridevi and the other massage therapist were excellent, and even came up to my room later to bandage my ankle for me. Very happy with the experience and can't wait to go back.

excellent mind blowing spot were the Property is located. The food was amazing. Spa with Ayurvedic options was also excellent. The yoga point for sunset and sunrise is mind blowing, the boat ride through mangroves is an excellent experience. This place will touch ur heart as it’s very close to nature. It’s a long walk to the villas, but u will thoroughly enjoy it. Might be difficult for old people.

Road to the property is a disaster, almost turned back. They need to do a pest control for mosquitos. For us the breakfast was not buffet for one of the days and lunch was wiped out on one of the days as there was a lot of outside guest. Rooms are only good enough for two people

A place to be away from your busy work schedule’ more calm and relaxing with the nature, the lake and the greens surrounded. The property rooms has privacy and no disturbances, clean and well maintained traditional Kerala style model villas. The food served was good and excellent in taste ordered sea food for dinner, the breakfast was a buffet served and staff at the restaurant was excellent. Overall had a good time at the resort, relaxed and enjoyed.

Reaching the Villa, appreciate more signage’s on the road and also good roads taking you to the resort.

Location is awesome, far away from the noise and chaos of the city Rooms are really good, with a balcony and a lake view to sit and relax during evenings Services are professional and value for money Food quality (including complimentary breakfast) has options and nice in taste Support staff is quite friendly and helpful

Excellent staff; polite, responsive and helpful. Excellent cleanliness. Reasonably good rooms. Ambience very good.

Food could have been better. Vegetarian options inadequate. Taste of vegetarian dishes could be better too. Non-Veg preparations were quite good.
