Hotel was awesome and great places to visit with lots of shopping nearby.

The breakfast was excellent, with a wide range of choice of Indonesian, Japanese and Western dishes. We had particularly good experiences with the chef (or one of the chefs), Mr Widodo, and the supervisor of the restaurant, Ms Yenny, who welcomed us every morning and made sure that we got the best breakfast experience. The other staff were also extremely friendly and helpful. The location could hardly be better: it is very easy to reach most districts of Jakarta from here.

In the weekend, the hotel was crowded with sometimes very loud people.

Everything was excellent! The staff were friendly and helpful, breakfast was great, the cleanliness was top notch. We stayed for New Year's Eve and I requested the room facing Bundaran HI, and they gave us just the room. It was nice to have the kids watch the fireworks. Thank you, and we'll most definitely return for another stay!

The shower needs a bit of servicing as it took some time for the hot water to come. Also, we had to wait almost an hour for the concierge to help pick up our luggage during check out, though maybe there were many guests checking out at the same time as us.

Almost everything. I was told that this is the first five-star hotel in Jakarta, commissioned at the time by the president himself as a place for official VIP guests to stay. And indeed, on almost every measure it lives up and surpasses this lofty standard. The first thing that strikes you is the gorgeous and huge lobby and check-in area. It is surrounded by incredible Indonesian artifacts and overall exquisitely designed. The room I received was no different and everything about it was luxurious, spacious, beautifully designed and comfortable. I stayed at an Executive Room so I was eligible to use the lounge which was wonderful. They serve a fantastic and secluded breakfast so there's no need to go downstairs to the main dining area. They also offer afternoon tea and evening finger food which was absolutely delicious and plentiful. The pool is beautiful, large and was almost empty at all times during my stay and the gym is one of the best and largest I've seen at any hotel.

The one issue I encountered was the *very* poor WiFi strength and signal. It is offered for free throughout the hotel but I had a constant issue with a weak signal, often times having almost no signal at all, so after the second day I switched to roaming and relied on that to get any work or surfing done. I hope the hotel spends some coin on upgrading its WiFi, at least on the various floors, because I expect more from such a deluxe 5-star property. It's worth mentioning that Jakarta has weak internet overall (barely 3G strength) so perhaps it's a matter of doing the best with what they have.

Overall, we're satisfied. Room is very spacious, location is good (near MRT station and car-free-day area on weekend), it is connected to mall that you can access by walking, staffs are superb, wide range of breakfast menu, decent hot whirlpool, elevator works really well (even though it was weekend and hotel is quite occupied, we dont have to wait to get an empty one), they also delivered a lego-like toy and cupcake to decorate to our room for our daughter.

We can hear the sound from the room next door and also from the street outside in the night, unstable hot water in the shower (most time we have to turn it to max to get the hot water, other time the hot water turn into cold for some time).

This hotel apparently have a heritage in the nation and I think it translates in its interior design - a blend between past and modern as well as looking forward in accepting new frontiers. Its accessibility to Grand Indonesia, Plaza Indonesia and subsequently Thamrin Mall is second to none. Its THE HOTEL in Jakarta in my opinion and yes it has sets the standard of how a hotel should be. Breakfast buffet is fantastic, Club Lounge is fantastic and others are also above average.

The distance to walk. Pregnant ladies should stay nearer to the lift if I may say so.

We requested a room with the best view of Bundaran HI. And we got room number 1215 which indeed has the panoramic view of Bundaran HI. The room size is pretty big for this location. The bathtub is remarkable, bath with a view. All of staff members were so polite, friendly and helpful. Their breakfast buffet was the best especially the deli and beverage sections. I also found the scent ambience smells elegant and lingering. Above all, the smart TV equipped with Netflix and Hotstar and the internet connection was super fast!

The swimming pool is not really big. The bed is on the scale of medium firm to firm so not your type of comfort if you prefer the plushy soft one. Their amenities are too standard compared to other luxury hotels nearby.

The service from all staff from reception, housekeeping, concierge to restaurant is second to none. The location is very convenient as it has direct access to Grand Indonesia and the breakfast is a must try!

Unfortunately we found three cockroaches during our stay - two in our room and one in the restaurant, crawling in the cabinet of the displayed food. While the staff were very apologetic and onto it, I think the hotel needs to review its pest control policies/processes to address this issue.

The breakfast buffet exceeded all expectations. A lot of indonesian specialties also served along with a whole array of Western specialties such as specialty breads, eggs etc. A lot of choices for fresh smoothie. The bathroom was amazing. Massive bath that fits two people easy alongside a very spacious rain shower. The room was designed romanticly since it was our honeymoon stay with wonderful view (specially in the evening) of the heart of Jakarta. Absoulety recommended!

The hotel is connected to Plaza Indonesia which is very convenient for anyone to do shopping or looking for eating places. The room is reasonably spacious and well maintained.

The pillow is too soft. but I managed to get it replaced. The menu for sahur is very limited. Hot meal is very much suitable when you have to consume food at odd hours.
