the most friendly, attentive staff. couldn’t do enough for us. absolutely stunning grounds, right in the heart of ubud but still tranquil and away from the crowds. a true oasis. came with my mum and the facilities and overall vibe of the place was exactly what we both needed

shower didn’t work too well, the head needed a bit of a clean as the spray wasn’t equal. breakfast was ok but I think for a 5* could have been improved - although nice that barista style coffee was included in price not just drip coffee. but other than that can’t fault it!!! just fabulous. if you stay in ubud make it here!

I loved almost everything about this hotel. My stay here was so super comfortable. I had a bathtub in my room, which is not something I ever thought I would need but I was happy with it. The bed was comfortable and the staff is incredibly friendly. The pools are nice and they weren't too busy when I was there. There's room service from a nearby restaurant. Location is right smack in the middle of Ubud. It's busy but you won't get that feeling in the room.

The breakfast (when it isn't included in your room price) is best to be skipped. It's pricey and it doesn't have many options.

maybe a bit to big to ensure safety neighbouring Yoga Barn with loud techno parties, luckily not so often so it rarely disturbed very bad breakfast, even when its included it seems to be better have breakfast somewhere else which we did

the property is centrally located and at the same time so calm. The suites were comfortable, cosy, clean, well equipped and just so family friendly. we loved them. the massages at the spa were great.

there is a huge room for improvement for breakfast which is absolutely not to the standard. cocktails at the bar could be improved in terms of taste.

Only the fact that there wasn’t a separate bathroom but just only a curtain which separated bathroom facilities from the bed. the mattress and the pillow weren’t really comfortable and I do not suggest to have breakfast in the hotel, very small portion and a limited choice.

Screechy chairs on the balcony-put padding please! Other guests make a lot of noise. Mattress wasn't comfortable either; should have been either harder or softer. Everything else was super quality so the bed was a let-down. Tip: ask for top floor room, as the people walking above make a lot of noise (not sound-proof apparently)

Fantastic location. Can walk anywhere such as The Monkey Forest, Ubud Palace etc or just a short taxi or bike ride to the rice fields, swings etc. Next door to a supermarket for supplies and safe ATMs. Perfect location for selection of Vegan and Plant Based Options such as The Sandwich Bar, Seeds of Life, Kafe and local vegan warungs. Facilities are good with two pools, spa was amazing!! Staff were always smiling and friendly. Quick turnaround with laundry and room service.

It was expensive at $60 for the transfer from airport and it was a driver that is usually a taxi driver, no English (which is fine, we are in Indonesia!) however he was not at the meeting location and took over an hour to find him - not ideal after an early morning flight. Suggest a $30 AUD taxi from airport would do the job. For $2,000AUD for nine nights, it is what you expect in regard to cleanliness and friendliness.

Restaurant(s) and pool bar. Breakfast: confusing that everything is a la carte -why not boost to a full buffet style? A bit noisy at the lobby/restaurant with the heavy traffic just outside in open connection. Too much wating time for the in room dining, not really many vegitarian options in general. Poolbar a disaster considering how this Hotel is marked: Please have staff present all the time -turn on some lights (Dark even mid day!?) - turn on some ambient/relaxing Music - do something to make it welcoming (more Beach bar style or something!) - add more soft drinks - towels we out of stock every morning and after 4 pm??! That is a low hanging Fruit.

Would definitely recommend the hotel even if we had some issues with our room door not letting us in - this took a while in the night which was very unfortunate

the food at pison wasn’t good and as a restaurant belonging to Alaya it was quite disappointing, also the staff there were not so friendly they seemed to just want to finish with their day (we came at 9pm)
