We stayed at Plataran for four nights, and overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Plataran is a hidden oasis in Ubud. Despite its central location in the city, the hotel rooms are set far away from the busy streets. We were impressed by the expansive size of the resort, which is surrounded by spacious patches of paddy fields and tropical bushes. The view from every corner of the hotel is absolutely stunning, and we took numerous beautiful photos during our stay. We were also delighted with our suite room, which was spacious and comfortable. It featured a balcony with two cosy chairs, facing the swimming pool, lush garden, and a rice field. The buffet breakfast offered a variety of tasty options, including Indonesian cuisine and Western-style dishes. We had no complaints about the food. The staff at Plataran were welcoming and friendly. We received warm greetings from the staff wherever we encountered them during our stay. We also made use of the gym a couple of times in the morning. We appreciated the well-equipped fitness house with floor-to-ceiling glass, which provided a pleasant view of the beautiful rice fields and playful ducks while we worked out. Additionally, we tried the spa, and it was a very relaxing and satisfying experience.

The only issue we encountered was that we could hear music playing throughout the day from our room, starting at 7 am in the morning. Fortunately, they turned it off before bedtime. Don't get us wrong – we love music. However, the repetitive instrumental sound we heard was a bit annoying, and we understand that it is a traditional Balinese music style, as we heard it at other places too. It became bothersome when we were trying to relax on our balcony or when we were woken up by it at 7 am. We're not sure if this can be heard from other rooms, as our room was located on the ground floor and adjacent to the road.

friendly and heplfull staff, hotel's location is great. they have also daily pick up/ drop of service for ubud center

feeding animals (cow, ducks and rabbit) is one of the daily activities, but if we think it is not related to ecological significances :( we are upset for cage

The stay was good in every sense. We had gone along with another couple to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. We had requested for a private dinner. They set it up amidst the paddy fields(which they call romantic dinner) and provided us with a memorable occasion fitting to the occasion. The staff were extremely courteous, especially Candra, Desi and many more, who made sure that we had the best moments within the property and beyond.

Privacy at the dip pool in BIMA Villa should be improved as it is slightly visible from the adjoining property.

very well maintained property amidst green plants and trees. there is a green tunnel which makes one feel closer to nature. golf carts take guests and luggage to the rooms . open view called The View is where buffet breakfast is served overlooking the rice fields is an amazing open space. The resort is very strategically located where all the cafes and bars are located. there is also an activity list available from the hotel . the lobby is being built so the checkin process is through a bar and then to the lobby area. housekeeping services is extremely prompt and service is excellent. special recognition to Gusti Petriwan and Puspa for being so cooperative, flexible and having a willingness attitude to help. the experience was better with their support.

Quality and Quantity of food . this was overcome by the fact that there are several good restaurants, bars and eateries near by .

1. My flight got delayed and I checked in at the hotel at around 12 or 1 AM. The staff that helped check me in greeted me with a big smile and helped me settle in by preparing a welcome beverage, showing me around my room, and helping me with my luggage. 2. I came during the holiday Nyepi and the hotel prepared things to do around the hotel during the holiday time. Also, I watched the Ogoh Ogoh performance that was nearby at the Monkey Forest sign and that was an amazing experience. 3. The breakfast, the facilities, the pool, the staff, and the room were all very nice and I think it was a great choice for my first solo travel.

I didn't mind this at all and think the hotel does a great deal in ensuring pest control, but due to the location and being surrounded by beautiful nature, please don't be too surprised if you find a small lizard/gecko. I was visited by just one lizard for my 3-4 night stay here and it just crawled by but wasn't harmful or anything. It wasn't a problem at all but I just wanted to write about it in case you are very scared of lizards.

Plataran hotel is very well situated and at the same time you feel as if you are in a retreat, very calm and relaxing place. It was very clean and all the staff was very caring and helpful

Just one thing was a bit annoying it is the person who cuts the grass with a very noisy machine under the windows early morning. I think this can be done later in case some people are still sleeping

The hotel is amazing, with a beautiful path to get to the rooms and with swimming pools in the middle of the rice fields. The room was comfortable, the breakfast had many choices, and I will remember the amazing kindness of the staff, always smiling and ready to help. Definitely a great place to stay and forget the activity of the city.

2 small things that did not impact my feeling about the hotel: - there were small ants which I signaled the staff who offered to help, but it was ok for us as it remained just a very few (and it is quite the case in other places as well) - the walls were a bit thin: we could hear at times our neighbors as we had a connecting door Still, we had a great time there :)

This place was amazing from start to finish. Everyone was so nice and friendly. Checkin was a breeze, golf cart straight to your room, comfy beds, good breakfast buffet, nice facilities. Particularly loved the blessing ceremony - 100% authentic I promise. Might have been one of the highlights! Awesome location for walking around Ubud. Off the street so no noise. Pics do not do justice to this place.

Breakfast was good, but not spectacular. I felt it was perfect for me. Nice combination of choices for traditional Indonesian and Western tastes. Service was always extremely friendly and accommodating.

I did not care for the restaurant for dinner. There were much better places in town.

Great location, clean and very helpful staff. Very nice rooms, with plenty amenities. Room cleaning was perfect. In the centre of the busy Ubud, but hidden deep inside and potentially can be fairly quiet (if no construction works).

Room was facing other building, unless you keep curtains closed, expect very little privacy. Came 30 minutes before the breakfast time ended, food was cold. Contruction at the site. Circular saw sounds etc...
