Every aspect of the accommodation is simply amazing. The attention to detail is simply incredible, all very clean, neat, exquisitely decorated and designed. The pool is itself a masterpiece, the surrounding gardens and jungle view is simply gorgeous. Everything is cared-for with utmost consideration, and the guest immediately feel 'at home'. This place is simply heaven on earth ! Ideally located just a bit away from the hectic bustle of the centre of Ubud (a 15 mn stroll by a convenient street gets you directly to the main street, Jalan Raya Ubud), the villas unite the best of both worlds : we did all our activities and sightseeing on foot in the town, and at the same time could have very quiet rest moments at night and whenever we fancied staying a bit in the villa (often at the end of the day, after extensively touring the surroundings of Ubud). We are not much demanding about tech conveniences, so this is not our main point of concern, but the villa has everything to offer on that matter, from air conditioning to TV, a very powerful and reliable WiFi, a completely equipped kitchen, etc. The main remarkable features for us where the exquisite decoration, attention to detail and the taste involved in every choice of furniture, general layout and organization of space. The bathroom itself is a gorgeous piece of work. The outside amenities are memorable, with a splendid gazebo where you can seek some shade on sunny hours, and a very beautiful overflow pool, enshrined in a luxuriant and cared-of garden of trees, bushes and flowers. Eventually the major points of excellence of the D'Legon Villas are the staff members, at the same time both discrete and the nicest people, wishing to cater for all our needs with high professionalism - special mention for the amazing breakfasts. We leaved the place with fond memories of our interactions with all the wonderful people there, and they will definitely be part of the reasons we already plan to come back ! :-)

We honestly tried to find some drawbacks or annoyances, even the slightest, and nothing comes to mind :-). Just a great and unforgettable experience.

Absolutely stunning villa overlooking the forest. Cleanliness was immaculate and despite being next to forest, no bugs inside at all. The view was magical and jungle trails were amazing. The pool was spacious and modern. Staff was absolutely helpful and they served breakfast in the villa. Breakfast was top notch

Only downside is not much privacy in the pool as the pool is next to the common stairs which was something we would have preferred.

Exceptional staff! They would take us anywhere we wanted to go at anytime, at a reasonable cost. Having the onsite restaurant with the communal pool close to our garden villa was wonderful. In fact we were, most of the time, the only ones using both. The food was very good, and would even be delivered to us anytime suitable to us. The garden villa was very comfortable , airy and private. If you aren't a confident traveller, you won't get better care and personal service than at D'Legon. It is such good value for amazing service and has all the facilities you could possibly want. If this is an example of staying at a family run villa, then we wouldn't stay anywhere else.

The driveway IS very narrow, especially for a 7 seater! Our poor driver did an incredible job backing down it, but not without some damage from an overhead branch. The kitchen facilities are sparse and cleanliness is subjective. However the friendly and exceptional service from the staff does MORE than compensate for any little niggles.

The villa complex is situated in a village about 3 km out of Ubud and backs onto jungle. The pool and dining are gorgeous - though small I often found I had the area to myself. The villa and complex are very clean and the staff are lovely- always keen to assist. It was very easy to organise a shuttle in and out of Ubud and surrounding area for a small cost. It wasn’t necessary to go into Ubud all the time as there are several great little cafes, restaurants and day spas within a 10 minute walk of the villa. If you are wanting a place away from the craziness of Ubud and a village experience D’Legon is perfect. Thanks to Maria and his staff for an absolutely wonderful 8 days.

The privacy was awesome, the friendliness of staff, the feel of the villa was welcoming. We should have stayed for longer and will definitely come back. The location to local amenities was great. The fit out was to a high standard. The offer of a car service with a knowledgeable and extremely friendly guide was brilliant.

We had a small issue on arrival, most likely due to a language barrier. All sorted immediately and went on to thoroughly enjoy our stay, and we will be back.

This place is amazing, and much better than the pictures let you see. We stayed in two rooms - one few meters from the pool, but with a private terrasse and garden where breakfast was served. We where picked up and drived to the city-center with few extra costs- such a help. City center is walkable, but after an active day it was great service with a ride. Moreover we went an a great trip to see the surrondings with Nia who is both kind, knowledgeable and the best driver. Lovely trip where we could select which things we would like to do. We loved everything. High level of service - for example when earing dinner staff made our room ready with mosquito-net and evening-light. Mini-bar as cheap as mini-marked. Clean and well kept both rooms and surrondings. We would love to come back.

One small ting: when ordering food from the kitchen the waiting time is quite long- perhaps fewer dishes or make guests aware of the waiting time.

Extremely loud at night from the neighboring restaurant and street. The houses are not isolated and there for you can hear every scooter and voice at night. Was difficult to fall asleep before 2am. I do not recommend this for families. The two houses are also separate in the private Villa. I was expecting one big house, however these are two connected houses with separate entrances.

Our villa was amazing! This was our first stop in Bali after a long flight from the UK and we could not be happier when we arrived. The location is perfect, tucked away along a quiet stretch with the bustling town centre no more than a 30min walk away. The overall feeling here is peaceful and tranquil, the staff are very friendly and helpful and the accommodation is beautifully presented. I can't recommend highly enough and we wish we'd stayed here for longer!

Everything about our stay was perfect.

This Villa was run and owned by a local family. From the pick up to them taking us from Ubud to Nusa Dua, to everything in-between, it was the family who took us everywhere and showed us everything. This is not a giant resort and that is exactly what is best about D'Legon Villas. Ubud is the type of place that suits low ley accommodation. Breakfast was delivered to us on the first morning. There was welcome food on arrival, even at nearly midnight. The owner was a wonderful man called Maria, and his equally lovely daughter Nia. Nothing was a bother for them, and they were available as much as we needed them. As my first ever experience in Bali this villa was a perfect first impression to me. I would highly recommend D'Legon and the beautiful family who it belongs to.
