Wonderful staff!! Facility is amazing and big. Choose the jungle suit If you are picky like me and don’t make friends with insects & lizard and want a closed bathroom (unlike the open bathroom Balinese cottage/villa).

Breakfast is very poor if you are not Indian/Asian, the desert selection is more than what a non Asian will eat, it’s literally two sorts of cheese, one ham, cereals that don’t include oat (more like kids cereals!). Shuttle service to Ubud could be more, they only have it three times a day @ 11, 14, and 17, knowing that U UD palace is just 5 min drive!! They can make a shuttle service every half an hour without any problem!

Great breakfast with number of choices.

The design of the property is fantastic. The pool and reception area are impressive. Looking out over rice padis at mealtimes was so relaxing. The staff were exceptional, especially Mahendra who genuinely worked constructively with us when we had an issue with our credit cards. I recommend you always opt to let any resort in Indonesia to take a deposit upon checkin. We discovered our problem arose the night daylight saving commenced in New Zealand and the 2 countries banking systems were ‘out of sync’. This caused real stress. Do not miss the Balinese dancing. The shuttle into UBUD was really helpful especially now they have to detour around a landslide caused by heavy rains. We loved being in and around Ubud and enjoyed it much more than the beachside areas.

The in-house boutique stocked beautiful garments but I wonder if some cheaper but good quality items could be added to achieve wider appeal.

The resort is located about 10 mins from Ubud village and they provide shuttle buses in and out during the day. We stayed in the a presidential villa and it was good, slightly aged however very clean. The bed, linen and pillows were very good and the bed was the most comfortable I’ve ever experienced! We did a private cooking class with the resort and that was a real highlight of our trip, highly recommend it. They have a flower farm and fresh vegetable garden and so nice to visit. Each day they bring down to the breakfast area a dairy cow and ducks that you can feed, it’s lovely and the kids really enjoy it. The staff are fantastic at the resort especially at the restaurants and room service.

The day spa is in a ex hotel room with no atmosphere and the staff not very friendly and it’s expensive. You can get good spa treatments for less in Ubud Village try Taksu Wellness Centre, it’s fantastic and they have a cafe for healthy food. There is no body lotion at the resort so pack some. They do provide shampoo and condition and body wash though. Beds are made each day but bed linen did not seem to be changed during our 6 night stay. New bath and pool towels were provided daily.

It’s ambience

not providing normal water to drink in restaurant. it’s really sad that we had to pay for the water in the restaurant which was very sad. no where in Bali this happened with us.

The resort, rooms and staff are exceptional. We really loved our stay here. The hotel is in very beautiful grounds and only a short 10 minute drive to the centre of Ubud. The staff are all so welcoming and friendly, hardworking cannot do enough to help you. The pool and restaurant area are very nice to relax around. We got the impression some parts were closed due to the impact of the pandemic. The staff are always cleaning and maintaining the grounds.

The food and drink is a little on the expensive side, same with the spa treatments. Our tip would be to use the free shuttle and find a local taxi driver with the shuttle for the evenings etc. The hotel charges almost triple the price of a local taxi, which you can easily find in the centre of Ubud.

Location and lay out The view from the 3rd floor of the villa is excellent.Beautiful resort and very friendly staff. The evening entertainment with Balinese dance is really good. They should try more such entertainment activities each evening.. We visited during the festive time of Golungan and the whole of Ubud is full of festivities..we have been to the restaurant opposite reception which was good. The prices of drinks from reception/ lobby area are very reasonable.

Breakfast was a bit routine after 3-4 days especially when you are staying for a week.. The indian counter is just basic. They should include more variety of Indian breakfasts.

Third time staying at Visesa. Looked at other places to stay in Ubud for this trip with girlfriends but came back to Visesa. My girlfriends loved it for their first stay. Staff go above and beyond with everything and are always so cheery and interested in what we are doing for the day. Love the cow and ducks every morning. The gardens are so green and great experiencing the permaculture of the resort. Love the shuttle service into ubud main centre. There is nothing to be disappointed about at Visesa except leaving!!
