The hotel is in an amazing location. Less than 10minutes walking to Jaffa Gate and 5 minutes from jaffa St and all the restaurants and bars. The room was very very clean and nice. There were a nespresso machine, a kettle and a fridge in the room and they also provided coffee pods for free. I definitely Reccomend it and I would stay there again I came to Jerusalem again! The girl at the reception was also very nice and always willing to help!

This was a fantastic place to stay to sere the Old City in Jerusalem. It is a 2-minute walk from the New Gate, so you can't get any closer to the Old City without staying inside the walls, which has its own special set of challenges (like very small rooms in old hotels). The De Cardo is all about the room. There is no lobby. There are no services other than one very kind and knowledgeable person at the desk. Our room was huge, especially by Israeli standards. I booked the larger room, which means it is actually two bedrooms and two baths for only a little more than the single room because it gives you room to unpack and spread out a little. Wi-Fi is fast. The TVs are big and facing very close to the bed and have Netflix. After all, how much time are you in the room when visiting Jerusalem? Do you need a lobby, gym and breakfast? If so, don't come here. But what you get here is a great room that is big and modern. The owner has basically taken the bottom floor of an apartment building and made 12 modern suites. The room is serviced every day and each room has an expresso machine with unlimited capsules. But there is no breakfast. Who needs breakfast? The place is surrounded by coffee bars, bistros, bakeries and restaurants, so that is no problem. Bottom line.... We started to spend 800 a night on a 5-star hotel near there and instead paid one-quarter that amount and got a room that is three times bigger. It's all about the room. Beds are new and comfortable. AC is great.

There is nothing not to like. The place is perfect for walking the Old City, which is why you are there. If you want a lobby to sit in, go somewhere else and get a much smaller, more expensive room that is way farther away from the Old City. That is your choice....,

We had 3 rooms for our group. In one room one alarm will go off for no reason. In two of the rooms the shower switch was not working when we first arrived in the third room some light fixtures where not working.( the shower issues were fixed) The contact number listed for when no one was at the front desk did not work. There is a patio/terrace that is a little rundown which is a pity as it could be really beautiful with just some care and improvement

Great location, clean, very comfortable bed, good water pressure in the shower, effective AC, overall a great hotel room and a perfect base to explore Jerusalem.

Note that De Cardo is not a full hotel, just a single floor of rooms with a small random front desk in a very sketchy looking building. You get a great room in a great location for the price, but just know what you're getting into. I also would have liked to have a safe in the room.

Location is amazing. Staff was extremely helpful and nice, specially the reception desk and the cleaning lady. The room was huge and it had everything we need it. Everything is so clean!

The only reason I don’t give a 10 is because it’s really noisy. I think the hotel is under a building and there were kids playing till almost 11pm. Also really loud music. I think they should reconsider the people that they hire for the transfer service. The first one was extremely rude and the second one didn’t stop taking calls during the ride.

Location was excellent, and the room was huge for the two of us. We appreciated having two bathrooms! Staff was always friendly. We had been "scammed" by a hacker who took additional payment from us. When the management learned of this, they explained that 5 different hotels had been "hacked," and that they had taken exhaustive steps to secure their system. Furthermore, they discounted our room quite significantly so that the effect of the breach was minimized. Very positive experience: Excellent location. Huge room. Pleasant staff with good restaurant recommendations. Management responsive to losses due to hackers. Highly recommended!

Room was cleaned daily, which was important. Still, we were more comfortable wearing shoes or slipper than in our bare feet. This is a not a luxury hotel, or a luxurious place, but absolutely fine!

We stayed five nights here. The location can't be beat; you're a block away from the tram that leads to the train station, and less than a 10-minute walk to the old city. The room itself is spacious and quiet. The curtains closed well on the windows, so the issue of being on the ground level that other reviewers mentioned didn't bother us in the slightest. The cleaning lady who came daily was fabulous. All the staff were super nice. Internet worked really well. I would happily stay here again.

Perfect location. The hotel is just a few buildings away from jaffa street and town hall.(which is also a tram station) also, a few minutes away from Jaffa Gate or New Gate. The lady (zvi or zval i think) who checked us in was warmly welcomed us and helped out with everything we need. Room were well decorated, had comfortable beds, and a nespresso machine. was a perfect place to stay

The area was a bit noisy, it is not the hotels fault but makes you unconfortable

I loved it. It's in my favorite location in Jerusalem. It's very easy to access from the train station and just a 15 minute walk to the Old City. The staff was incredibly nice, special shoutout to Suzan, who is the nicest person you'll ever meet. The rooms are clean and chic, there's coffee for guests.

There was nothing wrong. I absolutely loved this hotel and I will stay there again, if I return to Jerusalem.
