I was so pleasantly surprised - the hotel is beautiful filled with artwork and antiques; it is visually stunning a middle eastern dream! The room was great with a modern washroom, the breakfast was amazing fresh fruit cheeses meat and a chef to make you eggs as desired. This is a family run hotel and they are the loveliest people so friendly so professional so very accommodating, they truly made my stay all the more enjoyable I sent my daughter to stay alone for a a few nights and they were amazing to her as well - HIGHLY RECOMEND this hotel and the location is perfection!

The location is perfect if you want to visit the Old City or Mamila or City Center (Jaffa Street). Everything is within reach by feet. There is parking in Karta Parking Center nearby. The rooms are just as pictured, clean, with clean sheets, clean washrooms and daily cleaning and towels replacement. The lobby looks like a museum, very authentic and nice (the attached picture is from the lobby). The staff is amazing, so genuinely polite & helpful, including providing tips about the city, etc. It's also quiet there from after around 23:00 until around 09:00AM despite. There is also a nice view from the roof. There is coffee and water available 24/7. And airconditioner in each room.

Breakfast was really good and tasty on our first day, but on the second one not everything seemed as fresh as on the day before.

Great location- just inside Jaffa Gate, entrance to the Old City. Room- I booked early got a nice size room with a lovely big bed. All amenities included- fridge, tea/coffee station, safe, on-suite bathroom. Rooftop balcony- provides a nice view from the top onto the courtyard of King David's Citadel and entrance to the Old City at Jaffa Gate. Beautiful dining room and lounge. Great selection of Mediterranean/Arabic dishes for breakfast. Central Tea, Coffee (freshly ground filter coffee) and Water Station on 1st floor next to Reception Desk available 24hrs.

Using the stairs might be a challenge for elderly guests or thse with mobility problems. The elevator/lift was not functioning. I,however, had no complaints.

Location of the hotel is the best...right at Old City, across from Tower of David, close to everything...and a tiny walk to fabulous Mamilla Mall which ends at main streets of Jerusalem. Breakfast is quite good, too. The people here are most helpful and kind, too...they make you feel at home. I've discovered they have many return customers, too, who only stay here when in Jerusalem. Wonderful roof area, too, for viewing Jerusalem. Good hair salon downstairs on the left, restaurants aplenty.

Staff was usually very nice and respectful. The breakfast in the mornings is pretty good with a decent selection. Location near the Jaffa Gate is great for being on the move alot, bit it does get kinda noisy sometimes. Overall very good and highly recommended for the price.

Cleanliness and age condition of some of the smaller stiff like the bathroom items and the appliances was apparent, but minor and didnt effect the overall comfort too much. Still a great stay nonetheless

Super location and a truly authentic old-city hotel, but expect noise. Staff very helpful and owner/manager very friendly. Beautiful modern shower-room was a nice surprise. Free coffee and tea 24/7, but no milk...so ask for some or get some from breakfast. Big fridge in the room plus an excellent coffee machine and kettle. Roof top area very pleasant...and a great view into the light shows at The Tower. Great lounge area; very comfortable.

Need some hooks for towels in bathroom. And some hooks for coats in bedroom. The wardrobe is very small and it's difficult to put big things away . Breakfast was good for Mediterranean tastes: lots of salads, but not much for UK/USA tastes. Eggs cooked till like rubber. Bread was disappointing: some of the many varieties of local bread would have been welcome. Jams were very poor quality. Juices really strange flavours and artificial...no orange juice, despite it being citrus season when we were there. Balcony area should be cleaned. Ours was filthy and covered in old cigarette ends.

This is a great atmospheric hotel just within the gates of the old city. It is superbly located for sightseeing, you literally step out amongst the monuments. From the rooftop terrace you have a lovely view across the city and David’s tower. Plenty of eateries, shops and cafe’s are right on the doorstep. The single room was small but very convenient and clean, excellent value for money especially with the good breakfast buffet that was included. Best of all though is the staff. They are all super helpful and friendly and go above and beyond to assist. Would very much recommend!

Amazing hotel, never ending to surprise me with every detail I discover at each visit. Plenty of spaces to spend quality time inside, rooftop terrace with views of the city, nice breakfast, congratulations to the family that manage so elegantly this beautiful and historical hotel, while preserving its originality. Perfect location to arrive and go from airport, and in same time just 5 minutes walk to the Holy Sepulcher. Extremely kind staff that helped us with everything we needed and beyond.

For visitors who wish to spend time in and around the Old City, especially at festival times, there is no better place. The breakfast is absolutely amazing, and the staff cannot do enough to help. We will always stay here when visiting Jerusalem.

The absence of a lift can present a challenge to septuagenarians or disabled, but it is a very old and historic building. We managed.
