we got a room with a view of the sea and it was amazing

we left our luggage at the hotel during the day and when we came back we sat in the lobby for a while and then suddenly the receptionist started to scream at us that we can not be in the hotel anymore and screamed to us ”go always! Leave!” and stuff like that. it was really mean so watch out for the skinny middleaged lady in the reception

This hotel has a wonderful location that is close to everything! Just minutes from the beach and right above restaurants. We had a beautiful view of the sea and beach as well. Also, the AC in the room was AMAZING! Breakfast was nice and we could eat in the room. We had 2 balconies and an extra sleeper sofa too. Plenty of room!

Even though our room had wonderful views, it came at a price. It was a horribly noisy room as it sits right on the main corner of town. So ALL the traffic coming through goes right by your room and it continued all night. Cars zooming, honking, and the guards blowing whistles. Also, our second balcony was taken up with the huge AC unit. But the other main balcony with the sea view was fine.

This hotel is in the best location. Family owned, great staff. A classic.

The location was really good which is just faced with Amalfi's main square (Piazza Duomo). I could look down the square from the balcony of the room. Coffees and piece cakes were good and not expensive at the cafeteria (Pasticceria Pansa Amalfi) in the square. I could park a car in paid parking lot (Parking Berma) which is 600m away to the west and could be paid by credit card (Eur42 for about a day). Super market (The Big Apple Supermarket Deco Srl) was not far away. Fish fries store (Pescheria CICA con Cucina Amalfi) was good for visit to pickup fries. Spent happy time in Amalfi.

The hotel was in a perfect location and our sea views were beautiful. The property was clean and the staff were helpful. We had a lovely stay.

In the room the tea and coffee station only had paper cups and they weren’t very good at holding drinks. We bought some cups in the town for warm drinks, so I think the room should have some teacups/mugs. Unfortunately the large drawer in our room had no bottoms to them, so we had to keep things in our cases. Also, there were not enough hangers in the wardrobe.

The hotel is in am amazing location in Amalfi in Piazza Duomo, only a 1 minute walk from the bus stops and right outside the cathedral square. The hotel is right at the St, Andrews fountain, located up a flight of steps The room was little old fashioned, but very clean and comfortable. There was a good size bed, with desk & chair as well as wardrobe. A much welcome bottle of water was provided in the room. The staff were amazing, they were so helpful and friendly. I was able to check in a bit early and they looked after my luggage on the departure day. Breakfast was a tasty Continental breakfast with hot bacon and eggs, pastries, breads and cereals, as well as meats and cheese. Tea and coffee was provided. Wi Fi available in the room, bed was comfortable and the room I had had a view of the Piazza Duomo.

Fontana hotel is opposite the Amalfi Cathedral (Duomo di Amalfi; Cattedrale di Sant'Andrea) Our room can see the side of the cathedral. A cosy room and clean. A family business, I guess. As all members help each other.

Nothing to complain, just FYI for heavy bag, firstly there is no elevator from ground floor to lobby at 1st floor. But there will be an elevator at 1st floor. You’d better ask Pasquale to help.

Excellent location in between the main town square and the ferry port. Very convenient for public transport if using bus and ferry. Rooms have ocean views and the nearby coast or view of the church and main town square where all festivities are held. Close to all restaurants and shops as well as the beach. Free breakfast and friendly staff.

About 20 steep steps up to the lobby. Would be great if there was a bell boy to help with heavy luggage.

based right next to the ferry terminal which is the best access to Amalfi as the roads are quite poor and narrow, ferry from Salerno was 9 Euro each and 20-25 minutes. The Hotel is based above the seaside shops and has no disabled access, lots of steps I'm afraid....the room was very spacious and a balcony facing the sea / harbour, which was superb, especially when we got to see a amazing storm the day before we left!....great breakfast, proper English Tea!, some English speaking TV channels, fridge in the room, nearby supermarket for snacks etc....lots of restaurants and cafe's nearby, not too expensive either....

no visible disabled access, but everything else was great, great room and friendly staff, good breakfast choice too. If the weather is bad you can be stranded with crowded buses though as ferries are the usual access to Amalfi.

Excellent breakfast and were flexible about times as we needed to catch an early bus to Bomerano to walk the Sentiero degli Dei. Small friendly family run hotel. Liked the kettle in the room to make tea and coffee. Loved the fact it was so central and you felt part of the hustle and bustle and could watch the world go by.

As long as you have earplugs to block out the noise at night, it’s difficult to find fault with anything.
