The most magnificent view I've ever had from a hotel room. We splurged on a room with a private terrace overlooking the sea and Amalfi town, and it was worth every cent. I still get chills thinking about it (accompanying photos were taken from the terrace). Upon arrival, we were greeted with a complimentary bottle of chilled Prosecco - a very nice touch. This place exudes class; the facilities are beautiful, the staff professional and courteous, and the dining room where breakfast and dinner are served has a view to die for. Spend a little extra, get a room with a view - you won't regret it! PS - the adjoining Torre Saraceno Restaurant is superb!

If you have mobility issues, the walk down the hill into town (and back) might be an issue, but it wasn't for us.

Loved oor room! We had the turret with the most amazing views. It is a very special room with beautiful tiles, an out door spave and a balcony. It was vey romantic.

The bed was Ok, comfortable enough, but could have been a better matress and maybe better linens and pillows.

The location is truly fantastic: you're out of the hustle from the city center/port while being only a 5 minute walk away. It served us really well as we were catching boats/ferries most days. The staff were lovely - even offering us a coffee while waiting for our transfer to the airport. Breakfast was great. The views amazing. I don't often write reviews (despite reading them when I book) so felt strongly enough to write one this time around! Oh and having a private pool area where you can also jump into the ocean is great for your first and last days :)

The hotel itself is a fabulous old building with gorgeous art and furniture pieces throughout. Its like a museum. It has a wonderful courtyard in the center where you can sit for drinks during the day or in the evening. The breakfast is set on a balcony overlooking the Amalfi marina and the best views of the area. The pool is across a small road and was never too busy to get beds. Towels were provided. There are also steps to enter the sea from the pool area and the pool has a panoramic view of the sea, mountains and Amalfi. Simply stunning! The staff were always pleasant and accommodating. The hotel is a short walk (5min) from the square. A must stay if you are visiting Amalfi.

Busy road to cross to get to pool

Right on main highway, lovely pool across the street with sea access. Pool area is down many steps. Breakfast is served in the restaurant with a beautiful view of Amalfi town from the terrace. The staff is lovely and prepared us a lunch after hours when we arrived tired and hungry after issues with our ferry. The cloister courtyard is nice quiet place for a drink after dinner.

Our sea view room was quite small but the balcony was lovely. The bathroom could use ventilation. Tip: If you need to come back from Ravello on a tight schedule like us, decline the offer to book a car service and take a taxi instead. The fixed price is 55. (We ended up paying a *lot* for the car because of incomplete and contradictory information from the staff and car company after we communicated a need to delay.)

The building is an old monastery from the 1200s with a beautiful cloister. The staff was very warm and welcoming and happily accommodated our every need. The bar and restaurant are stunning with views to match. Cocktails were served in the cloister during one of our evenings there. The pool area with access to the sea is incredible. The restaurant above the pool serves excellent food and, again, the staff was amazing! Views, views, and more views! We stayed in their two bedroom “special” suite (including private elevator) since we had two of our teenagers with us. The view from its terrace may be one of the best in town, complete with an electric retractable sunshade.

Beautiful property in a perfect location. Very friendly staff and an excellent breakfast. Superb views from our balcony in a quiet room, and a very comfortable bed. Very efficient valet parking. Inner courtyard bar in the evenings was a perfect setting.

Clear instructions for arrival by car would be helpful as it wasn't obvious where to stop to unload and to enter the hotel. We initially missed the very small parking area (maximum two cars) on a bend at the side of the main road from where lifts go up to the lobby and from where the valet takes the car, and we had to go some distance before we were able to turn around and come back, as we were expecting a driveway into the grounds of the hotel.

Luna Convento is the perfect size - large enough to have every possible hotel amenity (great bar, amazing pool, amazing restaurant) but small enough for the incredible staff's service and attention to feel so personal. The location provides for an amazing view of the Amalfi coast and very close access to the Amalfi central piazza. The secret bonus is there is a new pedestrian tunnel just around the corner which lets you walk (in a really cool European style tunnel) to and from Amalfi without having to cross the road or hug the edge to avoid the traffic! Finally I need to specifically recognize Rafaele as an outstanding service professional who made our stay that much more wonderful - Thank you!

Absolutely fantastic. Stop comparing other places to stay and just book this one!! You won’t be disappointed. The staff were LOVELY and the hotel was beautiful. Italian rustic with lemon trees and tiled floors but also very clean and beautifully maintained. The pool area is the biggest bonus, the attendant was also really lovely, couldn’t be more helpful getting us chairs in the sun and offering advice on nice places to eat lunch in the area, even saved our chairs for us whilst we’re were gone. We ate at the hotel restaurant and the view was insane and the food was beautiful. My husband said the steak was cooked to perfection. Our room was beautiful, with a view of Amalfi from the balcony, with a free bottle of bubbles. My friend and I absolutely loved the seaside pool and the incredible views of Amalfi from our private balcony! The location is perfect and we also loved the hotel breakfast. We had an amazing stay and I would highly recommend this hotel!

We didn’t love that the room keys had to be turned into the receptionist each time we left our room. However, it was nice that we didn’t have to keep track of our room key when we went out to explore. We also didn’t love how dangerous it felt crossing the street to go down to the pool. Other than that we loved the property!
