Amazing place in the heart of Bari old town ( Bari vecchia). The b & b is located in the city center of Bari. Well connected to the main attractions of Bari, churchs , in front of the Castel, not far from the train station, bus stops and well connected with the Bari airport. The bulding itself is old, but inside it has been recently completely rennovated. The bedroom has all the confort : tv , securty locker, air conditionar, brand new toilette with all products and all the forniture are new. Even if you are in the city center, there are no noises coming from outiside. The breakfast is served on an amazing terrace on the rooftoop. The product used are fresh. I really appreciated the courtesy of Alice and Antonio. The attention payed to each customer , the care on recycling waste and to avoid wasting food. For that reason they ask to you to reserve every day what to you want to eat for breakfast the day after. Maybe the only consern that i can report , is that there is a huge stair for having access to the reception and rooms and to the terracw. So maybe not easy for children or if you have any limitation. But i was aware of if when i reserved the room. The owner helped me when I arrived and when I left with my luggage. Thank you Antonio and Alice!

From the moment we arrived, we received a warm welcome and were very well looked after at B&B Murex. Antonio was the perfect host and went out of his way to ensure we had a good stay. The room was comfortable and cosy with a sweet little balcony and a stylish bathroom. We loved the roof terrace and the complementary drinks including an amply stocked mini bar. We liked the ability to choose our breakfast options and these were well presented, both on a trolley in our room when the weather wasn't great and on the roof terrace when it improved. The location couldn't be bettered, right next to the ladies making the orecchiette pasta, with the castle opposite and the cathedral less than 5 mins' walk away. It was an easy 10-minute ride by taxi to and from the railway station too. Would recommend as a great, central place to stay in Bari old town.

Hard to ignore the stairs! There was a steep stretch from the entrance to the communal foyer and another shorter, steep stretch up to the roof terrace. We got used to them, but couldn't have managed with our luggage. Antonio stepped in and helped with this. All added to the character of the place though :-)

Everything was wonderful, the room is cosy and comfortable. One of the best showers I had while travelling Europe. Antonino was a lovely host who gave so much great info about the city and recommendations and helped carry my luggage up the stairs. It’s in great location on the same street as the pasta ladles. Terrace is great for breakfast and just for sitting before going out for the evening. Honestly, worth the great reviews, if it’s available book it. I had a single room and it was great so I can imagine the bigger ones are better.

The stairs are steep but that’s really it. The WIFI was a bit patchy but honestly they were minor minor gripes.

I accidentally broke a pot and told them about it. I felt this was rather unpleasantly dealt with and a 50 euro charge was made. The way it was handled was a little aggressive. I agree to pay and he kept going on about it. Also - I get that they are running a small business but so do I, it was a decorative item in the corner of the terrace that served no other purpose and as a business owner myself I would not have charged my client in the same circumstances.

Don't be afraid of the steep stairs, once you reach the top your welcome to Bari will a most warm one. The space is cleverly set up. The location is great for being right in the middle of the old town, with fresh pasta you can buy the moment you step out the door. I loved the open lounge with drinks and snacks. The breakfast is set up nicely through an online form that ensure there is no waste. The rooms are very clean, and even the single room felt quite spacious. The host is incredibly welcoming and takes the time to describe everything about the hotel, and also gives you a great itinerary, food and cultural recommendations, for what to see in Bari.

I could not have been more delighted with this charming B&B in Bari. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality bed linens. The room was very quiet and the air conditioning worked great. The location in the heart of Bari's old town is unbeatable. My host was very helpful in providing sight-seeing tips and restaurant recommendations. I enjoyed a complete and varied breakfast on the roof top terrace in the morning. If I return to Bari, I will certainly stay at B&B Murex again.

There was nothing I did not like. The stairs are steep, but my host carried my bag up and down for me, so no problem!

Exceptional stay at B&B Murex. Antonio is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is directly opposite the castle and above the ladies handmaking the pasta. Walking distance to everything. Place is very clean and tidy, the bed very comfortable and with a great shower. The tasty breakfast on the rooftop each morning was a bonus.

The only thing is the steep stairs to the room. However this is a small thing in comparison to the rest of the stay. Antonio will carry your bags up and down the stairs, so no problem with this.

I really love the property!!! I recommend 100%. Antonio is a really good person and he recommended me a lot of thing to do, and the best places to eat. The location is amazing, is next to the houses of the famous ladys who are making the pasta! The bedroom just for me was really beautiful, quiet, nice, I had the all facilities, the good breakfast, you can make your coffee whenever you want. They have some soft drink, beer and different milk in the fridge free for you. And has a good terrace to relax. My check out was very early and they prepare me something to take away for breakfast. All was perfect, and Bari is a really good destination. I would like to come back. Thank for everything!!

We had excellent service from start to finish. Very good communication before arrival and very helpful once we were on site. They were able to accommodate a slightly early check-in for us. The rooms are minimalist in decor but still warm and inviting. They have a nice selection of teas and coffees and other beverages in the common area that are complementary. We loved the upstairs deck for breakfast and evening bottle of wine. The owners are very helpful and provide a map of the area and local recommendations. They also booked us taxis on our morning of departure as our group was splitting up and needed two taxis. Perfect location to get around Old Town Bari and conveniently located next to great gelato! Would definitely stay here again.

The only challenge as others have mentioned is the staircase. We were able to navigate it and we are in our 60s but not sure if we could do it in 10 years. The owner helps you with your bags on arrival.
