I could not have been more delighted with this charming B&B in Bari. The rooms were spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated. The bed was extremely comfortable with high quality bed linens. The room was very quiet and the air conditioning worked great. The location in the heart of Bari's old town is unbeatable. My host was very helpful in providing sight-seeing tips and restaurant recommendations. I enjoyed a complete and varied breakfast on the roof top terrace in the morning. If I return to Bari, I will certainly stay at B&B Murex again.

There was nothing I did not like. The stairs are steep, but my host carried my bag up and down for me, so no problem!

Exceptional stay at B&B Murex. Antonio is a wonderful host, very knowledgeable and helpful. Location is directly opposite the castle and above the ladies handmaking the pasta. Walking distance to everything. Place is very clean and tidy, the bed very comfortable and with a great shower. The tasty breakfast on the rooftop each morning was a bonus.

The only thing is the steep stairs to the room. However this is a small thing in comparison to the rest of the stay. Antonio will carry your bags up and down the stairs, so no problem with this.

From the moment we arrived, our host, Antonio, made a significant impression - we immediately felt welcome. The rooms were spotlessly clean and well-organized, the street can be noisy at night. However, the well-sealed windows ensured peaceful sleep. The hotel's central location made it a convenient base for exploring the city's attractions, shops, and restaurants. The breakfast was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. In short, my stay here was exceptional, thanks to Antonio's hospitality, clean rooms, central location, and delightful breakfast. I highly recommend this hotel for a memorable visit to the city!

I really love the property!!! I recommend 100%. Antonio is a really good person and he recommended me a lot of thing to do, and the best places to eat. The location is amazing, is next to the houses of the famous ladys who are making the pasta! The bedroom just for me was really beautiful, quiet, nice, I had the all facilities, the good breakfast, you can make your coffee whenever you want. They have some soft drink, beer and different milk in the fridge free for you. And has a good terrace to relax. My check out was very early and they prepare me something to take away for breakfast. All was perfect, and Bari is a really good destination. I would like to come back. Thank for everything!!

We had excellent service from start to finish. Very good communication before arrival and very helpful once we were on site. They were able to accommodate a slightly early check-in for us. The rooms are minimalist in decor but still warm and inviting. They have a nice selection of teas and coffees and other beverages in the common area that are complementary. We loved the upstairs deck for breakfast and evening bottle of wine. The owners are very helpful and provide a map of the area and local recommendations. They also booked us taxis on our morning of departure as our group was splitting up and needed two taxis. Perfect location to get around Old Town Bari and conveniently located next to great gelato! Would definitely stay here again.

The only challenge as others have mentioned is the staircase. We were able to navigate it and we are in our 60s but not sure if we could do it in 10 years. The owner helps you with your bags on arrival.

B&B MUREX is a hidden gem a 15 minute walk from Central Station located opposite a castle and in one of the ancient alleyways of the Old Town of Bari with street pasta makers working and selling their produce. Antonio is the perfect host as is his English, and the rooms are outstandingly decorated .the bathroom shower was amazing. There is a communal area with a small kitchen area with a very well stocked drinks fridge. The rooftop area is so relaxing after a full day sightseeing with loungers and seating this is also where breakfast is served. We arrived early and he kindly made our room available to us and the day of departure we were able to leave our cases till afternoon. This b&b is more like a 5 star luxury hotel and Antonio is a perfect host The photos do not do this beautiful place justice

There is nothing to dislike. there are some steep stairs but Antonio is happy to help with your luggage. This is a feature of the building being part of Bari old town.

Murex is THE place to stay in Bari. We love the atmosphere, the location, the decoration, and the kindness of the host, who was helpful with advice about sights and restaurants. The stunning roof terrasse is a chapter of its own, we could have spent all our time in Bari relaxing there -but yet the city has so much to explore. So enjoying our breakfast on the terrasse was a treat - and to enjoy the view from there in the evening too. We also have to mention the possibility to order breakfast following your own choices, which is a super luxury for us. When in Bari we will be back - and recommend Murex.

Absolutely perfect location, right above the famous Bari pasta street! An amazing host who speaks perfect English and will recommend you the places nearby worth your attention. Room was beautifully furnished and decorated, very clean, absolutely beautiful bathroom, tasty breakfasts where you can choose something else every day (and that warm crunchy bread, wow!). It will be in my memory for a long time and I can recommend it to everyone. I bet in summer it's very nice to be out on the balcony where you have the view on the castle that's nearby. Also in the neighbourhood there's the best Galateria in Bari. We also got slippers and clean fresh towels! Bed was very comfy and we both slept like babies. And the famous steep stairs were more fun to climb than anything else. If we had big suitcases it might have been an inconvenience though.

No matter how much I tried, I'd always create a little flood while showering. Not a big deal though ;)

A special thanks to Antonio who could not have been more welcoming, helpful and accommodating - the perfect host! He went above and beyond for us, even helping to make a dinner reservation for my husband’s birthday and preparing a breakfast bag for our early check-out. These 2 nights came at the end of our holiday and it really was an excellent combination of perfect location, impeccable hospitality and relaxing atmosphere. The roof terrace was an unexpected bonus. We’d love to come back!

If ever I wished that we’d packed less and brought smaller suitcases - those stairs are narrow!

Antonio could not have done more - flexible and helpful host who spoke excellent English and assisted us with booking a taxi and recommending a restaurant The rooftop terrace was huge and delightful - the breakfast served there our best of the trip (as we had the option to choose breakfast items upon check in) There was a stocked fridge with (free items) water and spritz and a decent coffee machine plus milk we could help ourselves to We had a little balcony and the location was great, right in the old town The room was lovely We were able to leave the room yet stay and relax/read/rest on the terrace beyond check in until late morning and we were also able to leave our bags until mid afternoon which we really appreciated too

The stairs to the property were steeper than we had appreciated from pictures - though Antonio (and his father in law upon check out) helped carry our bags down them Parking and driving in and around Bari old town is impossible which adds a level of minor inconvenience
