Located in the old center of Bari which is an interesting location, it is down a pedestrian only walk in a courtyard. The room was nice and worked for one night. Breakfast was fantastic, and Rosa, who took care of the B&B, and made the fantastic breakfast, got a taxi for me so I could get to the train. She was the best. Grazie Rosa!

Without google maps I never would have found it. The old center is a maze of narrow streets and walkways with some signage and taxis can only go so far. My room was on the 2nd floor up two flights of steep steps. I ended up leaving my heavy duffel at the bottom floor. All the above information was missing from the description and the owners offered nothing as to how to arrive or the conditions on site. Would I stay here again. Nope. If you are young and don’t have a heavy bag or pack it would be ok. I’m 68 and it was challenging.

The location was just perfect, right in the heart of the old town and our room was clean with a very comfortable bed, excellent shower and lovely air conditioning. The best thing about Borgo Fontana was our wonderful host Rosa. She gave us a very warm welcome and amazing breakfasts - something a little different every day. For an early start she even made up a little breakfast pack so we didn’t miss out. We couldn’t have asked for a better place and host whilst in Bari and we wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Borgo Fontana. Grazie mille Rosa!

The wonderful host Rosa and her brother Gino made us feel very welcome. We arrived very early (9am) to drop off our bags and Gino offered us a coffee :) We returned to check in at 12, which was very easy as it seems the B&B is 5 minutes walk from everywhere! We had a very relaxing weekend walking around vecchia Bari and also the Murat region and it was so very easy to get back to the hotel to drop off shopping bags or have a siesta. The breakfast was wonderful and they offered a selection of sweet and savoury items, it was a really great start to the day! Their uncle is the inventor of pasta Al assasina and Gino even helped us with reserving a table to eat there (which was great as it was completely full when we arrived). I recommend Borgo Fontana B&B to anyone for a very good stay! Thanks to you Rita and also your brother Gino?

The B&B was very clean, modern, and came with really nice touches like a little bottle of Prosecco in the fridge. AC worked great, shower had great pressure, and bed was comfortable. Rosa provided a substantial spread for breakfast including meats, eggs, breads, croissants, yogurt, fruit and coffees. She went above and beyond and provided gluten free options for my celiac travel companion. She really was so nice and even though there was a language barrier, she took the time to communicate and share her friendly spirit with us.

So much love about this place. The location in the old town is easy to find and in a lovely peaceful courtyard location. Restaurants are close by with easy walking distance from the train station and central promenade. The Castle is a few seconds away maybe a minute. The hotel was gorgeous very well designed that was modern rustic, contemporary and very welcoming. The details from lighting to bedroom space are very well thought out making everything feel inviting and romantic and spacious. As a solo traveller walking the Via Francigena I only could stay one night, I wish I could have stayed longer. The bed was so comfortable and I've stayed doing this trip in a few various places, but here no problem sleeping well and comfortably. The details again just add something special from the bathroom accessories for showering, the water and a little welcome bottle of prosecco. Rossa is lovely, the information and access to the property are very well explained and clear with a little WhatsApp vid that helps make sense of gaining access if like me you arrive later for check-in. The breakfast was a beautiful start to the day, a little breakfast Mezza (fresh and tasty) and then there's a selection of fruit, yoghurt, cereal, toast, juice, cake and Rossa ready to make a coffee however many times you want. Rossa is warm and friendly meticulously preparing your breakfast with a lovely calm charm. So what can I say, you can not go wrong booking this place if you do it's worth a few nights but if not it's a delight to stay even one. Thank you, Rossa.

Rosa and her husband welcomed us with great hospitality in their authentic south italian B@B. The room is quiet, and spacious and is located in the oldest part of the city of Bari. Bari is a very beautiful city and we were impressed ! The B@B is located in a narrow street between the attractive Italian facades. Very attractive location too with very good restaurants within walking distance. An address to remember ! Thank,you Rosa and your husband, warm regards from us.

We loved this B&B, a beautiful place to stay in a perfect location in the heart of the old town. Rosa was a welcoming host, and there were personal touches that made our short stay a memorable one, including a delicious home made traditional breakfast. We only wish we could have stayed longer, but hope to be back in the future.

We loved everything about our two night stay at Borgo Fontana! Rosa and her brother were wonderful hosts; the room and bathroom was very comfortable with everything we needed. The location in the old town is perfect and breakfast was excellent. it is a unique place and very special. Rosa went out of her way to be helpful from translating on her phone so we could chat to arranging a lift with her brother to get us to the car hire when we left.

The host was brilliant and couldn't help enough using Google translate to talk with me as she didn't speak English and my Italian is very very limited. The breakfast was perfect, cured meats cheese vegetables and plenty of fruit. The location is superb for exploring Bari especially the old town and in a lovely courtyard The bedroom & bathroom was small in keeping with the house and old town accommodation. Great for a night or 2s stay
