Breakfast on 2 days was at the café next door - a drink and a savoury or sweet cake. Breakfast on the other day in the accommodation was a drink and 3 different cakes. There were many interesting buildings and churches to see. The little train for €5 was a good way to see around the town, Although we didn't hear about it until too late there is also a tourist bus which goes further afield for €15. As many people live in the city there is a great atmosphere in the streets and many pavement cafés with people eating late into the night

It would have been nice to have been offered fruit or yoghurt for the breakfast - fruit from the market is very cheap. There were areas near the accommodation that were dirtier and more rundown than I've seen in many countries. Being on the Unesco list we felt it let it down,

Antica Dimora is very cute little hotel with stunning paintings on the ceilings. It has the traditional vibe of an old glamorous villa. The staff is extremely welcoming and kind and for us it was pleasure to spend our first time in Catalina there. The hotel is situated in super communicative place and you are surrounded by all important and beautiful places to visit in the city. The breakfast includes traditional sweet or salty treats and super delicious coffee. Most of the days you take your breakfast from the cafe at the corner of the building, only on Tuesdays the breakfast is served in your room. If you are taking rent-a-car (which I totally recommend) you can park easily on the street in front of the hotel. Keep in mind that you are not allowed to park on the yellow lines, the blue ones require to buy ticket and the white ones are free for parking. For us it was pleasure to spend 4 nights there surrounded by such nice vibe and amazing people. Thank you very much for everything ❤️

I would recommend to place bigger sign about the hotel as the current one is not very visible especially at night. This is not a problem, just kind advice.

This magical place is nestled behind the walls of Via Plebicito, literally a stone's throw from Catania's historic centre. As you enter, you will discover a superb historic lift with a warm atmosphere of old varnished wood and red velvet. Once upstairs, a corridor opens onto a superb lounge with a high ceiling painted in the Italian tradition. Pina welcomes you with a wonderful smile, as does Sherin, who will take care of every detail to make your stay as comfortable as possible. The comfort and quality of this exceptional place.

This has been the best stay in ages. Unforgettable. The place is magical and Pinella and her daughter are so lovely. The hospitality and frescos on the ceilings make the atmosphere so special it makes you want to stay in bed all day and just stare up. Even the lift is very cool. It's like living in the past in a beautiful old fashioned home yourself. Highly recommended and will definitely return.

Amazing host and location. Plus, the woman who was cleaning our room was super welcoming and kind. She offered us coffee and water on arrival and we had an early check-in. Room was beautiful and spacious. Love the big windows and balcony, so European. We could leave our bags there after the check out as we had a late evening flight. Great location. 2 minutes walk from bus station et 5 minutes walk from main piazza. Breakfast included is great!

Great location, next to the bus stop that can take you either to neighbouring towns like Taormina, Siracusa etc and to airport. Great local cafes nearby and breakfast is included (in the nearest cafe). Room is big, great original frescos on the ceiling, very comfy bed.

Water pump is rather loud n=and you need to wait 5 min for the hot water but the value for money is great so no complains from me.

The building was like a museum😍 The owner and reception guy were very kind and helpful. Location was great. It was near to the center, bus station, also the airport.

There was no big mirror in the room, only in the bathroom. Also, the light was little bit low

The location is unbeatable - a few minutes walk to piazza duomo and major attractions. tourists information office nearby. Restuarants and coffee bars are within 1-4 minutes walk. more importantly, the pharmacy where you can do a quick COVID test ( which you may need before you board your planes) is 2 minutes walk. if you wish to save money by taking a bus (€4) to the Catania airport (10 min), the bus terminal is around the corner.

The building is old so the bathroom toilets are not functioning well - in fact, we had to call a plumber 2 times. not convenient.

Our location was perfect. An easy walk to the centre which was very picturesque. Our host had little English but we managed fantasticly due to her voice translator. She was very accommodating. Our room was clean comfy and quiet. This building has a unique quaint lift to the floor which is a bonus. Breakfast was included and taken at the cafe next door. The usual pastries and hot drinks.

Good location on busy road near the beautiful Duomo square and fish market. Comfy room and stunning painted ceilings. The best elevator with velvet seats and mirrors!

I understand that often it's difficult for a small B and B but we weren't able to leave our bags for a few hours before catching our train early afternoon, which would have been helpful. Breakfast was in a busy street cafe and was basic, pastry and coffee.
